Pathetic service
Pathetic service. I purchased my car from Peter vardy carz and that time the branch manager said your first service will be free at Peter vardy BMW garage. Now they are saying they cant do it. I've been scammed. Avoid them. Buy from Arnold Clarks.

After sales communication is terrible, when we were interested in purchasing a vehicle they were contacting us every minute as soon as I need them to call me back in after sales it's me that's doing all the chasing and getting very poor contact .

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
Got a Mini JCW via PCP in February 24 from Seafield Road Mini branch in Edinburgh. £400 deposit had to be provided until I got my log book from DVLA as couldn’t find my original log book. After providing my new log book I waited weeks to get my £400 deposit back. After taking the car back no less than 3 times due to the tyre pressure indicator light coming on as soon as I got 5 mins down the road after picking it up , it went in for fix, happened again, went in for fix and finally rectified on the third try. Let this all go though as I am quite a mild mannered person and give people chances. Took car back in April 24 as it snapped out of gear when took off at traffic lights and kept cutting in and out of gears jerkily (automatic) and also had a whine when breaking in reverse. Told they couldn’t see anything and whine would go away over time as probably dust issue and needed a good run. Video evidence to support this. Then I take it in for its 6 month service and brake fluid change to another authorised Mini dealership nearer to home on 30/8/24. When trying to take the rear bleed nipples off to do said brake fluid change , it was seized and I quote “due to over tightening at last change” It broke off and they couldn’t do a repair and advised me new calipers were needed at a cost of £678 for silver ones (red JCW ones that I had on car originally on backlog to December and I wouldn’t get car back until December if I wanted those and those calipers would cost over £1000) . I did not over tighten them - I never touched them . Why would I? Don’t even know what they are!! It was like this when I bought the car. Got in touch with Peter Vardy - they said it was the other dealerships problem as they broke off the rear bleeding nipple. A direct quote from Peter Vardy’s head of workshop - “This isn’t your fault - you have just been driving the car” So I am then stuck in between two different mini dealerships. Peter Vardy said they would speak with the other dealership - both ultimately stating I would have to pay although the other dealership took £100 off as a goodwill gesture. What I should have said at the beginning is this car was 6 years old when bought with 18000 miles on it. Car has sat and done next to nothing for years which is why things have seized and corroded. I drove the car daily since purchase. Peter Vardy stated they wouldn’t support paying for the calipers and said they would phone me back . They did but I was in a meeting - I replied to their email which said they would try again later that day or in the morning. Never heard another thing from them. Sent another email. No response. I totally agree with another persons review of this branch - happy to take your money but once the car is off the forecourt, they couldn’t care less. I will never be back to Peter Vardy Mini and will ensure I discourage others from doing so. I have paid for these calipers as I have had no option as my car was in for a week waiting on this getting sorted and I cannot wait any longer without a car but I will be pursuing this further with ombudsman, trading standards and whoever it takes. Funnily enough, you can’t get a name of the overall manager of the branch on their website to complain to directly. How convenient.

Avoid at all costs.
I am in the process of seeking to identify what steps i can take as a consumer against this company for the absolutely appalling treatment I have recieved.
I purchased a car for approx 10K in May 2024. It broke down 8 times in 2 weeks, with heavy smoke from engine and loosing all it's coolant, plus a bonnet that wouldn't open and a rear window washer that wouldn't function.
After 2 months of emails - during which time the car was not reliable or usable - as well as calls and eventually a recorded letter I got them to look at it. They diagnosed the issue as a loose cap on the coolant bottle which was clearly absolutely not the issue but nevertheless I had to go with it. They replaced this.
They replaced the washer which has worked fine since.
They also claimed they fixed the bonnet but it still doesn't open and clearly has a loose of disconnected lever so that's another problem they have shirked. They just covered the broken latch in lubricant to a ludicrous extent and left it.
The car immediaty broke down again with some and.losy coolant, and then again the next day in a hospital car park underpass while trying to follow an ambulance which was blue lighting a very close family member for a suspected stroke.
I called them immediately. This was on Monday 2nd September
It's now Thursday and despite emails and me sending more photographs of all the issues and proof of the coolant leaking, they are completly ignoring me so I have to start looking at consumer & legal options now.
An absolute disgrace, staffed by lazy incompetents. Completely disgusted. I have a SAR request in place and pending response by the statutory deadlines which has nkt yet passed given that they also managed to mix up my personsl contact details with someone elses, and I want to know how careful - or otherwise - they have been with my own data in general.

VERY POOR SERVICE
Customer services are virtually nonexistent new cosmetic warranty registered on the trade in car still waiting on this getting fixed by head office who never answer the telephone or now don't even reply to emails
It would appear there hype about customer services is totally different from the experience
The garage involved has been transferred to another company so you feel there is virtually nowhere to go

Exceptional Service Without the Pressure
The Sean and the team at PV have been great, answered all my questions, weren't your classic forceful salesmen, and were happy to check in after I had bought the car to make sure everything was all good.

Poor service
Trying to sell our car so tried to use this company. Online form was not working so telephoned twice and they cut us off. Phoned 3rd time asking that someone call us back. Still waiting. Husband went to the branch but was sent away and told to book appointment online. Explained wasn’t working but female not interested.
Hopefully service would be better if you were goi h to buy a car which we are but definitely avoiding this branch now.

I bore people now talking about Peter Vardy Motherwell
These guys are not crooks, they are just not honest. Bought an Audi from Peter Vardy Carz. Salesman a genuinely lovely guy and all the stars are for him personally. Test driving car one of the headlights was out so they suggested I just take it anyway and come back for repairs. I said I was happy to wait for them to repair it. Purchased and picked up couple of days later, donated to the charity, bought extended warranty drove home in the rain, all good. Next day I noticed a chip on the windscreen, rather than drive back to Motherwell I booked the car into Halfords where I was informed the chip had been “drilled recently” and from their option the driller had stopped because the screen was likely to crack. They said I should return to Peter Vardy as they were obviously the ones who had started the work. That’s when the phone tennis started, well it would have been tennis if anyone ever returned a call. So I drove through and was told the chip wasn’t an MOT failure and not that bad. Come back another day and we will have the mobile windscreen guy look at it. I’m no physicist but a chipped windscreen is only going on place, needs replacing especially on a new purchase. Cut my loses and moved on. Can’t believe I wasted money on a warranty extension with a company who will always wheel out the dead parrot and claim it’s moving. Lesson learned and word spreading.

Bought a car from here last year
Bought a car from here last year, nothing but trouble with it, needs major repairs and customer service is atrocious! Had to phone multiple times and no one ever phones you back. Asked to speak to management several times and on the last call was told they will "probably" phone me back. No customer service and sold me a car that should never have had such a major fault with it that will take weeks to repair. Would not recommened.

AVOID!!!!
If I could get away with no stars then I would! Absolute shambles right from the start. I am over one year with my car and I’m still not the registered owner according to the DVLA!! Car was clamped due to no road tax, I can’t tax the car with no paperwork! Phoned and emailed multiple times and still no response. Appalled with their service
