Well posted and driveway lit up!
The only thing, I think 10pm is abit early to turn the music of on the weekend, think it should be 11pm, like other campsites.
Spent 3 nights over the new year
Spent 3 nights over the new year, very impressed with the site, toilets and showers were spot on , and owner was super helpful and with recommendations on where to go etc , very dog friendly, I’ll be back in the spring, thank you
Gem of a place
We stayed here with a group of friends for New Year and really couldn't fault the place! Abby met us to check us in and she was extremely helpful and provided us with all the information we needed. Jules would pop by most mornings to check we were ok and if there was anything we needed, which was a really lovely touch. You can tell the team really do care about their guests experience. Just a short walk into the town and you have a few nice pubs and a convenient Tesco Express along with a few other shops. The Cider Barn was recommended to us by Jules and we had such a fun afternoon there.
We had to pay a £300 behaviour Bond as there was such a large group of us (which i am still waiting to be refunded but aware this can take up to 10 days), however we didn't mind.
We would highly recommend Petruth and will 100% be returning. Our dogs loved the freedom and so did the humans. Thank You Jules, you really do go above and beyond and we had a fantastic time despite the weather!

New Year at petruth paddocks
A mistake on pitchup meant that there wasn't a hardstanding pitch available for us. we were told about it before we left
Offered a free fire pit and logs and partial refund they squeezed us in still.
Toilets and showers basic but kept clean, showers piping hot.

Lovely clean, maintained camp
What a fantastic maintained camp. Clean litter free, bathrooms spotless although I did end up with a power shower due to thewater pressure which took me a bit by surprise but it was nice 👌🏻 , water was lovely and hot.

Great
Off season so was quiet. But great location, the host was superb.
Fire pits on a chilly evening. Brilliant when you’re camping. What camping should be.
Lovely site and well situated with all…
Lovely site and well situated with all amenities. Could do with thermostatic showers as when it went hot it was burning but could not fault the site otherwise.
Great Stay
Really glad we chose Petruth for half term break with grandkids.
Lovely welcome, local area ,views and peaceful setting.Stayed in Jeremy Fisher Shepherds Hut,grandkids loved being Hobbits for a few days.
Accommodation and bed linen was clean.
Showers and toilets clean and showers nice and hot.
Fire pit is a must, even if for just one of the nights.
Take away food delivery good and easy to collect at entrance, had to pay in cash.
Sainsburys near by and went to The Bath Arms for a lovely meal.
Close by 30/40 mins to planned visits to (Cheddar and Puxton Amusement Park )
Would defo recommend and will be going back.
Beautiful location but we got flooded…
We had a brilliant weekend at this site however three of our party had to relocate their tents due to being completely flooded out. I would be wary of returning purely for this reason as much of the site was under water during our stay.
It’s a beautiful location and easy walking distance to a local tap room, Cheddar Gorge just up the road it’s great and the people were lovely who run it.
Obviously the location is at the bottom of massive hills and must be very close to the water table. People need to be prepared appropriately.
