Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 123 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently encountered non-existent or unhelpful customer service, struggling with unresponsive phone lines, unreturned emails, and a general lack of effective support when trying to resolve issues. Many products were found to be of poor quality, failing prematurely, arriving faulty, or not performing as advertised, leading to frustration and disappointment. This was often compounded by a lack of effective follow-up, with cases closed without resolution, difficulties in obtaining spare parts, and a general feeling of being ignored or passed around. The overall lack of accountability and proactive communication led several consumers to state they would avoid purchasing from the company again due to these disappointing experiences.

Ordered an air purifier

Ordered an air purifier, philips took then money, heard nothing, then an email to say order has been cancelled despite seeing stock availability online. Still haven't received money back, also philips refusing to honour the price that i ordered which is conveniently cheaper than the price today. Customer service said a manager would ring me back, they didn't. This is false advertising, extremely poor customer service, they have robbed my bank account and cancelled due to a "technical error". DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

Better to use Energizer Ultimate Lithium Batteries

What has happend to this once great company, Philips Lithium Ultra batteries have a poorer performance than zinc carbon batteries, the Philips lithium ultra batteries (FR6LB4/10 USE BEFORE 01-2034) only last for a day and a half in my blink door bell, I have used a pack of four within three days. I purchased three packs x4 (12 Batteries) and I have had to use up a third of them so soon, is there a manufacturing fault with these batteries? On checking them with a bettery tester only one of the two batteries installed is completely depleted while the other still has some life in it. I paid £19-95 for 12 batteries which are absolute rubbish. I cannot find a contact e-mail address nor a phone number for customer service.

Entirely Inefficient Service

Honestly, the customer service is awful.
They want to extract all of your personal information before they can answer a simple question.

They try to speak to you in a formal way, using words like "regarding" etc, when they are just a customer service, and not a high end office. And that comes from individuals who appear to be of poor educational background.

If you pay attention, you remain engaged and listen to what they say it's all gibberish, pointless, and it goes nowhere.
And after you have specified that you want to speak to someone at the technical team and not the sales team, because the sales person appeals to be clueless to answer your technical enquiry about specs and products comparison.. they just ask you once again for your personal information.

Seriously, they come across like those scammer cold callers who try to extract your personal information, before they can answer a simple question.
And you just go into circles and you waste your time going nowhere just hearing "regarding this and regarding that".
I think that they wish that they were lecturers.

Now imagine that you have bought a product and you need technical support.. Good luck.

I always do the smart thing of calling the company to check upon their customer service before ordering a product.
No efficient customer service equals no order.

The service is far from the european standards.

I will buy from elsewhere, thanks for nothing.

What happened to phillips especially…

What happened to phillips especially their sonicare toothbrushes. Their heads are impossible to find in any shops and the price is enough to make me wanna go back to just a bog standard manual toothbrush. Partners toothbrush has broken twice in two years. I think I will be getting an oral b in the future and for my partner. Phillips is just cheap crap from China. I’m done.

No customer support, no usable instructions

Monitor arrived with no assembly instructions apart for a Quick start which was incomprehensible. (Example: 'Actual product and accessory shall prevail in kind'). There was an alan key - the fixings were phillips-head screws. Went to register on the website. Ridiculously complicated. And then it wouldn't register because 'Reason is required for Non-Serialized Asset'. What??? When I rang support, I was told that I had entered the wrong serial number apparently - when I checked it was right. I said I wanted an email to send comments. Oh you an only do that with the website ticketed system - not going there again... so i hope my negative comment will stop someone from making the mistake of buying Philips

delivery problems

i ordered an electric shaver on black friday weekend, and was informed it would be delivered by UPS on 4/12/24 between 09.30 to 11.30. After the time passed this was ammended to some time up to 19.00hrs. it never arrived. I was then told there was a backlog due to black friday and UK customs. I was then informed it would be delivered 10/12/24 between 11.20 to 13.20, and AGAIN it was not delivered. Again after complaining to UPS and Phillips i was told it would be delivered on 11/12/24 !! This service is absolutely disgusting and i would never recommend anyone purchasing from their online shop again. ( i still have not received it to date)

I ordered a Philps Aquatouch AT620/14…

I ordered a Philps Aquatouch AT620/14 wet/dry rotary shaver from Amazon, the shaver didn't work well, the battery didn't hold the charge and the motor hardly turned the blades to get a decent shave; I contacted Amazon and they didn't have a replacement for the shaver, they advised me to contact Philips customer service as they could help me in repairing or exchange the shaver as it was a faulty unit and the Philips shaver department could without problem replace the shaver for a good working one with no problem .......... well, Philips customer service just advised me to keep the shaver plugged in for 24 hours to reconditioning the shaver's battery, I did it, but it didn't work, so I contacted again Philips customer services and they just said, "send the shaver back to Amazon as you are covered for 30 days money refund" and they end the chat online ........ as Philips is one of the biggest electric shavers manufacturers, why they didn't just replace my shaver? a simple and cheap shaver that wouldn't have been a problem for such a giant company; I will never buy or deal with Philips anymore.

Unbelievably bad customer support

I wish I read those reviews before purchasing anything from Philips - won't make that mistake again. I've their coffee machine and have been having issues with the pre-ground funnel eating up coffee and not brewing it properly, which eventually resulted in mould growing on the PLASTIC walls of the machine. Their support have been telling me for over a month now how to clean the machine. I told them time and time again I'm not interested in tips, the machine is only a few months old and under warranty, I want it exchanged, but I keep getting ignored. I CLEAN IT WEEKLY JUST LIKE YOU SUGGESTED. I USE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF PRE GROUND COFFEE. IT'S STILL NOT WORKING. This costed over 500€ and the only thing you can offer under warranty is videos on how to clean a machine? Absolutely appalling.

Prices raised twice during a sale, and was sent the complete wrong item

Purchased a steamer on a black Friday deal, was sent a toaster.

Considering the wrong item was sent in its product packaging rather than a plain box, its hard to see how not a single person at the warehouse had checked they had the right item.

Customer service was awful, and didnt once recieve an apology for the inconvenience.
We were only given one option and that was a return and refund, rather than return and replace; meaning I have to wait up to 14 working days for a refund and had to reorder the item, by which point the price had actually gone up twice during the black Friday sale week meaning i have had to pay more for the same product when it was phillips fault.

Compensation discount was less than the £10 off discount all customers can get.

Philips 58 inch Ambilight TV worst TV ever.

I bought a Phillips 58 inch Ambilight TV and I would say it's the worst TV I've ever bought. The interface is very cluttered it's also slow and laggy. When you try to turn a TV station over it usually skips two or three channels at once for some reason and also when you change channels it takes at least 3 seconds for the picture to show on screen. Very slow. The Dolby Atmos sound is dreadful no base and very tinny. The design of the remote control is not great because the buttons are very small and like it was designed for a child's hand. At least once a week there is always something not right with this TV. I definitely 100% picked the wrong brand. Never again. It wasn't for the Ambilight I would give it no star if I could👎
