I'd advise against buying a bike here

Extremely annoyed would be a understatement, called in to chat to a sales rep about test riding a 1290 & 1390 superduke on the Tuesday, the 1290 had a flat battery and I was assured it will be fixed the following day and good to go for a test ride, I told them Saturday would suit me best to call and he said no problem.
Got there first thing on Saturday morning to be greeted with a bike that hadn't even been looked at correctly or cleaned I may add.. this is a motorbike that was advertised for £9995. Came to test riding and I didn't even get my gear on the TFT display for the bike (digital display) wasn't even working.

Asked was there any other options to be told in a showroom absolutely filled with bikes there was no other options.

In such a big dealer for Kawasaki, KTM and triumph I was woefully unimpressed.

I recently visited Philip McCallen…

I recently visited Philip McCallen motorcycles with the view to buying a Ninja 1000sx ex demo model, the bike was spotless and the shop was great, unfortunately for reasons on my side the purchase didn't go through but the staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful and understanding. From my first phone call, when I actually got speaking to Philip McCallen himself, to every interaction with the team, especially Jason, they were absolutely amazing, and really could not have been more helpful. Its a real judge of a businesses customer service when things don't go to plan, and huge credit to these guys, who even despite me making a mistake they absolutely stepped up and went out of their way to help. I really can not thank them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone, and I will certainly return to buy from them in the future. 5 star plus ***** Thanks you again Jason & Philip and the rest of the team.

I am so mad my first ever review

I am so mad my first ever review
This company can’t take poor customer feedback!!
First thing they do is to threaten me !
I ordered a jacket they don’t have
So they threaten me on eBay because I question why post something they don’t have or can deliver
They threaten me and bully me because I question this ???

Trust or not. Trust restored

Started off well. Just wanted my bike serviced by a triumph dealer to verify its status.they serviced the bike I then received a call to say I need new tyres so I agreed to put a new set on ( Pirelli diablo) at £200. Which I thought wasn’t too bad. That night just before they closed I picked up the bike, jumped on and drove off, approached the main road applying the brakes to my surprise no brakes then a loud clunk, rear brake came back on, I had a Quick Look as it was dark I didn’t see anything out of place, so Carried on home slowly, next day I inspected the brake system found the rear anchor for the rear calliper was not seated and the brake pipe was fully stretched. I contacted them they came and took the bike, reseated the calliper and stated that the brake pipe was ok. In conclusion when leaving any bike into them be very wary your life could depend on their ability..
this could have had a very different outcome if I had of been travelling at speed.
They said they would contact me with the results of their internal investigation. Still waiting !!!
Up date: I have been in contact with Philip him self and he been very helpful and has rectified my issue. It just took some communication on both parties and am extremely happy with the outcome. And I would recommend talking to them first..

A company with an extremely poor reputation

First contacted this company in August 2022 to arrange a service and a check over of the electrics on my motorcycle. As it was an older Triumph I was told I would be called back the same day or the next day to arrange a date to have it brought in.
A week later still hadn’t received a call back, so contacted them again and got a different person so had to explain my requirements again. This time I was told there was a nine week waiting list and was given a date in November.
The day before that date in November I was called by another different person and told that my appointment would have to be postponed as they couldn’t find any information on the Triumph website for my model of bike. I was then given a date in February 2023.
As that date approached I was again called by yet another person and told they were still on unable to find any information about my particular model and that if I found the parts myself they would fit them.
My motorcycle is a 1981 Triumph Bonneville and it didn’t need any parts, as all I wanted was a service and the electrics checked. I was asked to call back and speak with a named person which I did, only to be told that he was busy and would call me back.
It is now one year later and I’m still waiting for that call back. After numerous phone calls and being fobbed off by several different people who don’t seem to know or care about a potential customer, I would definitely not recommend this company. Their customer service is zero.

Had electrical problems with a year old…

Had electrical problems with a year old ktm, told it was a battery problem, charged £130 for new battery and labour. Problems got worse, zero customer service.
Technicians are either incompetent diagnosing faults or scam customers. Having to take to small claims court.
Warning: do not buy ktms in NI because if you have problems this is the only authorised service technicians here

Terrible aftersales service

Takes the pleasure out of buying your dream bike. Once youve handed over your money, good luck if you have any issue. Theres been a big delay on getting a bike booked in for a service or any issue for over a year (e,g 2 months wait if you want to get your biked serviced). If you unlucky to have any issue with a bike you may have to wait. They’ve had good sales guys in the past, but they never hang around for long. The prev service guys tried there best to help & were nice enough, but they seemed a bit clueless. The current guys arent afraid to mess you around. I now really hate having to deal with them for any form of service work.
Cant wait till I get rid of this bike so I can deal with a different bike shop. I also note that the local WSBK champion picked up his new bike from Coleraine Kawasaki and not McCallens Kawasaki (enough said).

Worst customer service I have ever had

Worst customer service I have ever had. Recently bought a brand new KTM 1290 paid in full. Tried to book a first service was told I would be called by service guy. Didn’t happen. I called again and was told they had no idea when they will get to me and hung up !!!!! Lucky I was on the phone and not in person. Two weeks later still not even as much as a call. Got a service booked with another dealer in the Dublin who was very helpful. Would not put a foot in McCallens motorcycles again, it has taken the enjoyment out of buying the bike. Left with a bike I cannot ride for weeks. Was told not to worry about 600 mile service as it’s not cutting in oil in the bike. That’s not what KTM say, mileage is important for warranty as outlined by a very specific email from KTM direct. I hope KTM wise up and get a professional retailer in (NI).

Brought my ktm 990 smr in for service…

Brought my ktm 990 smr in for service got accused of theft just because the bike was recorded so he said or was it because he's a prodestant more likely as it wasn't recorded with the dvla. Had to submit my drivers license and v5 for ktm records. Mathew sold me a rear 2 ply Mich high light tyre then wanted to sell me a mix match front tyre, very un professional nor wonder Phillip McCallen run out of fuel on the tt with these blokes doing the business for him. Nice show room and alot of bikes to choose but check those tyres 1st.
