Terrible service

Terrible service this time... did not pay the full payment for a new phone.. apparently accessories where removed. Then the cheek of phone calls asking for a good review in return for £5... then another phone call asking how long it would take for me to leave the review. An offer of a further £10 if I sent in another phone. Still waiting for that also. Phone is never ever answered whichbis very frustrating. Will not be using this company again. Inalso asked for a full list of terms and conditions... this was also ignored.

Shame about the constant emails

The service was easy to use, i.e. registering order, instructions for posting etc. but the experience was spoiled by the automatically generated emails. This included one every day stating that they hadn't received the item, and then taking a week to acknowledge receipt after postal tracking showed it had arrived. Other than that I was pleased to recycle my phone.

Phone Recyclers appalling performance!

Sent two Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini's using their tracked postal service on 8th November and they received them on 10th November. Received email the following week saying they had not arrived even though tracking service said they had. Sent photo's and details of phones and eventually they were apparently found. Sent numerous emails failed to get response other than auto reply. Rang many times and eventually got through to a person on 23rd November!, who stated that my phone's had been processed and a revised price was agreed which was not unreasonable. He stated that I would be paid within 10 days and I also received email to that effect. It is now 9th December and I am still awaiting payment.I have rung on numerous occasions and failed to get a response. I have also sent 74 emails to which they have failed to respond in any way or form.
Do not touch this company with a barge pole, this is either a scam or they are totally incompetent.
If I ever receive payment I will revise my view to just incompetent!
Following two further emails threatening prosecution I have now received payment on 15th December, that is 37 days since I first posted the phones!
I now revise my view to just incompetent.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER.. STOLE MY PHONE, NO PAYMENT AND THEY'VE HAD IT FOR NEARLY 2 MONTHS.. TRIED TO CONTACT THEM VIA EMAIL NUMEROUS TIMES WITH NO REPLY, GOT THROUGH ONCE ON THE PHONE AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE PAYMENT THAT DAY- NOTHING RECEIVED.. TRIED RINGING AGAIN TODAY AND TOLD BY A MACHINE TO CALL BACK OR EMAIL.. NEED SHUTTING DOWN.. AVOID THEM

Dodgy. Avoid.

No confirmation that they received the phone. Had to chase them for a week for a reply. When they finally did, they claimed the phone was scratched (it wasn't) and offered less money. Just took it because I was fed up of the whole process. Very slow to send payment. The likes of CEX and Music Magpie are much more reliable. Avoid these chancers. If you need further proof, just watch the Watchdog piece about them.

Positive Experience (Order AJ10067018).

I know that there are a lot of negative reviews about Phone Recyclers but mines is rather positive. The whole process from beginning to end was straightforward and Phone Recyclers communicated throughout. Upon accepting the amended offer, payment was in my bank account a couple of days later. I suppose the only issue I had was that Phone Recyclers emailed me to say that one of the phones I sent in had a "deep scratch on base". I am 100% certain that the phone in question didn't have a single scratch on it. There was a reduction of £2.50 as a result of this. However, I accepted the offer because Phone Recyclers was still offering me more that any other company. The long and short of it is i'm very happy with the professional service of Phone Recyclers and I would definitely recommend them and hope to use them again in the future.

Annette

I have had very bad experience with this company. I would like to say any people who want to deal with them, they are lie the customer about your phone, they are cheating and ripping off. It is no chance to contact with them by phone, the phone number is useless. Once you send your phone, they told you is somethings wrong with your phone and they are dropping the price, if they want your phone back it is take ages to hear anything from them, than offer you little bit hire price and again this same. When you want to back your phone...... Again they hire little the price and on the and still pay you less when you agreed with them. Do not even think send your phone to them. Not worth it. I can not believe it how they are treating the customer.

Scam AVOID

Sent phone off early November still not been paid. Luckily I'm on maternity leave at the moment but spent 4 days constantly calling at least 10 times an hour. Got through about 6 times in total out of over 100 calls. The first few times they said the money would be in my account at a certain time (6pm) then 10am and 1pm the following day. Then between 3 and 6 the day after. Now been told it will be in between 3 and 6 today. Been hung up on 3 times today. No explanation for why the other payments didn't 'work' or weren't in the bank as promised. Already been knocked down £30 for a perfect condition phone but accepted it to speed the process up. It seems phone recyclers read these reviews to try to remove them. So if you are reading, just put the money in my account I'm wasting precious time calling you all day every day. Can we come to your office to get the phone back as it seems you don't post them back as they miraculously get lost with the cheques and bank payments? Or does no office actually exist?
