AVOID AVOID AVOID
Upon accepting the changes to the pricing of my iphone I was told via email that payment would be processed to my account shortly, this was on the 6/12/16 and yet still on the 14/12/16 no funds have been paid into my account. I have emailed them twice and had no response, tried phoning only to receive automated sorry all reps busy and then get cut off. Absolutely terrible customer service and it would also appear that I have been robbed. Not holding my breath for any response from this company.
They do not pay and waste your time
I sent it my phone on 3/11/16 and was offered a much lower price than initially quoted because they found a micro dent on the phone. I told them the phone is 3 years old and they have to accept that it wont be immaculate and to send it back. I heard nothing for weeks and then they made another offer of additional £2 I did not accept and asked them to send the phone back. 25 days later I got an email saying "Success and the money will be paid in my account. IT has now been 16 days and no payment in my account, the guy never replied to emails or phone calls.
Basically the trick is you send in your phone because their quote may appear higher than competitors they then quote a reduced price, and waste your time because they are not contactable.
14/12/2016 - I have now been paid after finally getting hold of someone.
Shocking company! Dreadful service, impossible to contact
Initially seemed like a very reputable company, sending good instructions on how to send phone in. Firstly received email saying that phone was lost in post. Once I provided post office tracking information, it was suddenly found. Then I received an email stating there was problems unlocking my phone. I sent in details to unlock. Tried to call with no luck. Sent in 4 emails which were not replied to. Finally got through to customer services by phone. The representative would not confirm how many people worked in customer services office. I'm sure no more than 2/3.people. said email would be sent to confirm phone was unlocked. No email sent. 48 hours went by. Called again after 4 hours of continually hitting redial, representative said phone could not be unlocked and they would send back! !! How long will that take? Asked to have head office number, they do not have any other contact number apart from one on website. How can this company have no upward chain? Who is running this business? Asked to speak to manager, he was busy and apparently will call back. Don't know how he will as customer service man did not ask for my number. Awful, awful company. Do not be sucked into their offer of a decent amount of money as do not pay, impossible to contact and definitely do not offer a'quality professional service'that they state. Will be contacting trading standards and small claims court if I do not receive phone back in the same condition within the next 3 days.
Don't do it, they don't pay. (Updated 17th January2017)
First part of process worked efficiently (send phone, get confirmed order). The confirmation was received 17th November 2016, with a reduction in price because of some marks on the phone. This was fair, I didn't quibble. The T&Cs on the order include "You will receive your payment in your bank account within 10 days of us receiving & testing all goods that you would send us in".
Second part, paying up, didn't. It's December 14th now. Emails are not replied to, All attempts to speak to a 'Customer Services' representative result in 'All our representatives are busy, please try later' without even an option to wait. Are there really any representatives? Where's my money guys?
Next stop, Trading Standards Office.
My strong advice has to be not to use this company. The prices offered look competitive, but that's worth nothing if you don't get your money.
UPDATED: WIthin hours of posting the original 1 star review above I received an email to say that my order had been processed. My account was credited on Christmas Eve, so they did eventually stick to the bargain they agreed, but well outside the promised timescales and after a lot of effort on my part. For those reasons I'm not inclined to change the original rating, but will let you draw your own conclusions as to whether you want to risk extra hassle for a potentially better price for your unwanted kit.
AVOID at all costs!!
I have not been paid for months!!They are scammers and liars!!!I will be persueing this and reporting them!!Please do not use them!!!
Terrible
Wish I had read the other reviews before using. I thought this would be easier than using an auction site. I was wrong very wrong.
Website quoted £370 which I thought was a good price, Phone was sent mid November but soon got an email saying it was badly scratched and a dent on the left base. (there wasn't). I questioned this using Facebook messenger, where suddenly this damage was no longer there after a 10 second re-inspection of the device.
Finally agreed a lower price but still waiting for payment. Email stated payment within 2 days. After ringing and ringing finally get through to be told payment scheduled for yesterday. Guess what? Nothing!!!
I'm fairly sure the device will have already been sold on, so someone will be upset when its reported stolen if payment isn't made soon.
Next step Trading Standards + Police + Small Claims Court
UPDATE 14/12/16 Just phoned spoke to a man who transferred the money there and then over the phone.
Do not pay!
Been waiting over a month for my payment, every time I call they say it will be in tomorrow never arrives! Asked them to send back the phones and they say they can't!! Absolutely useless at my wits end!
Don't not use these dishonest thieves
I sent them a phone on the 14th November it was brand new but they offered me less than on website but I accepted it but have never received money have emailed several times no joy but have spoke to them 4 times and each time promise money same day but no money. Am going to court to get money it's only £75 but it the principal. I don't know how these people are still trading surely the police can investigate them for theft. Is there anyway to get people together and take a joint action against these people. DO NOT USE THEM YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Rubbish STAY AWAY
Don't go near this company had my phone for a month still hasn't paid me, blocked my email address, £52 down the drain would have given the phone away rather then these have it for other
Use music magpie they paid straight away
Terrible. You will never get your money.
Totally untrustworthy. Sent them my phone, got a quote, never received the money. Send many emails and received only a standard reply. Unable to speak to a person on the phone, letters ignored. It's nearly 3 months since I sent in my phone so now I have resorted to making a claim via court. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. More like thieves than a company.
Avoid - 12 days and still waiting
It has been 12 days since I accepted the (much lower) offer that they sent me on my phone. I have not had a response to my email asking them (very nicely) to look into it for me. They did not reply so I sought further information on Facebook and on here and I am horrified to see how many bad experiences people have had and how some are still waiting months later for money. I used phone recyclers because I didn't want the hassle of selling on ebay but ebay would have been a much safer and quicker alternative. I feel very disappointed in myself that I trusted this company.
rubbish, didnt get paid
ive sent them more than enough emails, no reply, i got a confirmation email saying my phone was ok and they will transfer the money shortly, money has never been recieved and emails never been replied too. AWFUL, i will get my money back!!!!!
you won't get what you've been offered
Was offered £22.50 on Samsung Galaxy Ace in excellent condition, received£18.70, small amount of money, but don't expect to get what you've been offered
Terrible service - take photos before you send your phone
So I should have believed the google reviews, but I thought I'd be alright. Well, that wasn't the case. They offered my a much better price than any other site - great. I sent the phone in (Moto G - used, but had always been in a case and had minimal scuffs) very well wrapped up and get an email a day later saying that there were scratches all over the body and they could only offer a lower price. After several emails, they agreed to a higher price, but not the original quote from the website. They now won't respond to emails and I've not been paid. Terrible. If you do want to use them, make sure you take photos of every part of your phone and with the screen on - that way at least you have evidence.
