Charged me even though it was within the free trial period . Won’t refund money

Condescending customer service.

Keep charging, this month charged me twice - refuse to acknowledge or refund. Toxic. Stay clear

Terrible company. Keep taking money from my account. I have written a complaint and after initial responses, they are now ignoring me, even though I wrote within 50 minutes of them charging me again. I do not use the app, and this is the third year they have charged me. AVOID

They advertised that is available for download on Google Play. That is not accurate. It only works for an iPhone. Once I discovered that I sent an email to cancel the one week trial. Because I did not respond to their email with directions on how to cancel on the website, they charged me. I borrowed an iPhone to download the app and was totally disappointed. Total waste of money.

I would give this company minus stars if I could. I have tried multiple times to cancel my subscription but I keep being charged £40 a year! I initially cancelled it straight after the trial period but was still charged. Then I emailed them to ask them to cancel it and I’ve just seen I’ve been charged again a few months later!

Same as the last review. I cancelled my subscription on 29/6/25 and they continued to charge me. I got in contact with them to show them that I had cancelled and they asked for bank receipts. I provided them and they said too bad because I only cancelled one type of subscription when they have you on two. App and web! They are sneaky and a money grab and don’t care what reviews they get by the look of it. Any company that puts customer service last is not worth trying. Their product was rubbish which is why I didn’t even get through the trial period before cancelling. Very disappointing as I haven’t even used their app and have been charged repeatedly for it. They have prepared responses no matter what you provide even when asked for the proof and change and say no we aren’t refunding for this or that. Stay well clear.

This is a con. You have to signup to a trial to use the app and then it's impossible to cancel. I tried to cancel through the instructions in the app, but it didn't go through and it was only months later I noticed the money was still coming out (their emails went into my spam. AVOID.

I requested a refund from my unwanted auto renewal. The money was taken from my account with no prior notificaiton and they will not refund.

Therefore, this is a scam company andI'd recommend avoiding them as they don't follow best practice - to send a notification of an auto-renewal.

2. THEN THEY SAY I DIDNT AND HAD TO DOWNLOAD THE APP.

4. NOW THEY SAY IM NOT A CUSTOMER ATALL.
5. I MAY NOT BE ACUSTOMER BUT GUESS WHAT THEY HAVE RAIDED MY BANK ACCOUNT. SCUM

Will not refund the next year. I didnt sign up, they take a free week and hide the subscription then charge you a year later. Evil.

I was charged for an annual subscription on April 4, 2025, through the Photoleap website, even though I believed I was using a free trial. I only discovered the charge through my banking app — there was no email reminder, no invoice, and no clear notification before the charge.

When I contacted their support within the 14-day cooling-off period, clearly stated in their own Refund Policy (Section 7.1), they refused to issue a refund, claiming the purchase “does not qualify.”

This is the second year in a row I’ve been charged without proper warning. I don’t use the app and never intended to continue the subscription. Despite clear grounds for a refund, the company denies any responsibility.

I’ve already submitted a legal pre-trial notice, filed complaints with Apple, FTC, BBB, and my bank to investigate this as an unauthorized, misleading charge.

Avoid this app unless you want to be charged silently and refused a refund, even if you're within your legal rights.

I agree with all the negative reviews I have read. Internet reviews say how great it is and how easy it is to use for beginners. ITS A TOTAL SCAM! I foolishly paid for an annual subscription. Its extremely complicated and Im not interested in their pictures, Im only interested in MY PICTURES! PHOTOLEAP IS A RIPOFF!!!

I’ve had the same issues as everyone else. Had a trial and quickly cancelled due to it not doing what I needed.

I’ve been charged 2 lots of £40 for an account I can’t access (as I cancelled!!).
They’ve had the audacity to blame me despite apple confirming that it wasn’t a live subscription.

Stay away!!

I cancelled my subscription and they still took the money. I would highly advise you to avoid this app!

Company charged me £42 for subscription I never subscribed to and won’t refund me.

They’ve fraudulently taken £80!’n I can’t dispute it with Apple as it says the app is free

I’ve been trying to contact them for over a year. Do not trust them. I don’t even have an account with them!!!

Similar to all of the recent reviews from others, I too was charged a monthly fee after cancelling my free trial within the 7 day window. After sending two emails to customer services complaining , I received the following response:

Thanks for your reply. We'd like to explain.

A monthly subscription was activated through (website link) after your trial ended. The trial was not canceled and this is why you were charged.

If you need to cancel a subscription in the future, you can head to (website/account) > log in with the email used to sign up (shown at the top right of the Photoleap invoice that was sent to your email inbox) > tap Cancel your subscription.

Nevertheless, we have canceled your subscription and issued a refund for your purchase.

Pleased to have been refunded however what they are saying is incorrect as did in fact cancel my trial. Shocking that they are potentially getting away with this!!
