make sure you read the fine print on returns.
"Almost all of our jewelry is made to order or personalized, which means these items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This includes, but is not limited to:
BASICALLY EVERYTHING THEY CLAIM TO MAKE
Their return policy also states (differently when they're on the phone by the way) the product must be returned within 30 days of delivery...keep in mind, their customer service keeps you occupied for over 30 days then they hit you with, "its past due the original delivery date, sorry we can't help you".
this company is definitely shady. Originally I purchased a St James medal on September 25th, I got stuck with a paper thin piece of gold worth approximately $35 that I paid over $300...the customer service had been ongoing until recent, my 30 days is up, live and learn, don't buy from this company, the website is MUCH different than what you will receive.
update 3/4/2026...the customer service reached out to me after this original review was posted and told me someone would get back to me about a return and making this right. Too much to expect, NEVER happened still stuck with the piece of tin and I'm still out $300+

Received my purchase today and I must state how disappointed I am. Upon opening the package the initial visual was “what a cheap cardboard box for the money I paid”. Looked like something bottom of the barrel costume jewelry would be presented in. I ordered white gold and it looks sterling silver. I will never order jewelry online again - the only way to be sure of the purchase is to know the company or go lay your eyes on the product.
Dec17th update I contacted Customer Service 5 times to resolve the issues and get a refund. The website stated a refund on non- personalize items and their voice systems state press #4 for returns / the CSR stated they do not give refunds. They did offer store credit which I did not want . The product I received from this company was not satisfactory why would I want to be disappointed any further. My suggestion Buy Local.

I ordered a baptism medal with engraving on the back. II opened it and was shocked..then I laughed. I couldn't believe they even sent it out. The medal isn't legible at all. It looks like clumps of silver dropped on a pendant. I asked to return it for a refund. The response was, you can order something else, we will charge you an exchange fee and the difference between the cost of original medal and new one and then I have to pay for shipping! So they want me to give them more money??? At this point, it's ridiculous. Then I offered to sell it as 'melt silver' to a jeweler here. This medal weighs oo.o2 grams. Worth about $3 in silver. I spent $114. What a fool I am to have done business with this place. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING FROM THEM, TRUST ME DON'T!

I ordered a tie tack in 14k gold and received a lapel pin. The company would not make it right to the proper depth for the piece to used as a tie tack as it was supposed to be. Very poor costumer service and the company did not take accountability. The piece was very thin and flimsy. I turned it in for scrap gold since th company did not resolve the issue and drug their feet.

My order was supposedly delivered by Amazon Shipping on Ocober 16th, yet it never was. I filed a claim with PicturesonGold, which they told me 3 days later that it was denied by Amazon Shipping. They then filed an appeal. This has been ongoing for 3 weeks now and there has been no updates. They said an appeal typically takes a few days and nothing has changed. They would not issue me a replacement for the item so I contacted my bank and filed a claim with them to get my money back. Go to Etsy to purchase anything similar to these items. Don't waste your time.

Ordered a sterling silver police badge pendant engraved with a badge number and state seal. The pendant was delivered quickly (within a week) and the engravings were to specs, but the entire chain and pendant felt very flimsy. Didn’t really feel like silver, felt more like tin or even a heavy plastic. It has a few 925 stamps so I’m willing to trust that.
My biggest issue with this product is that when I opened the box for the first time, I noticed that the paint in some of the engravings had rubbed off, and one of the letters was dinged and scuffed to the point where it was unreadable.
I can’t give this product a one star because like I said, it did arrived on time and is to specs, but I really do need to get this redone or replaced. It shouldn’t be THIS damaged right out of the box. And no cert of authenticity? Not even any sort of nice little pamphlet to go along with my $260 chain and pendant telling me how happy they are to have me as a customer, or how great my new jewelry is? Just an unmarked box in plastic bag packaging.
I think your product is really cool. I also haven’t seen too many other places out there who do an LEO badge pendant that looks as good as this, but please, we have to make sure that the product is delivered to the customer in better shape than this.
I look forward to communicating with support to try and get this rectified.

Prior to ordering a customized dog tag, I emailed this company to confirm they could add pictures of my two daughters, one on each side of the dog tag. They agreed that it could be done, asked to review the pictures and I placed the order including the pictures online. In the same email chain they confirmed having received the order with the pictures and informed there we no issues and they would process accordingly.
What I received was a dog tag with both pictures poorly merged together on the front on the tag, the back remaining blank. With a stream of emails clearly confirming they understood my request, they proceeded to accepted the order, review the photos and are now trying to charge me a second fee (albeit at a very minor discount vs the original cost) for another dog tag plus shipping. Using their own email confirmations, it’s clear they are in error.
Rather than continue to argue over this, I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. I’m not sure what else could have been done as I communicated very clearly prior to placing the order and again once the order was placed with affirmative responses from them each time. Should there have been any question, I would assume they would have reached out as we were already in open communication through several emails. It doesn’t surprise me that the negative reviews are rather consistent on this company. Disappointing and frustrating!

I used Pictures on Gold to order pendants of three soldiers who died fighting for their country. Those were gifts to the parents of the fallen soldiers. My experience with Pictures on Gold began on a pleasant note. They were responsive and made changes to the proofs that were originally sent via email. The orders also came very fast. It all went downhill from there. The pendants I received were nothing like the pendants I approved. You could hardly see the faces, the pictures were in sepia style vs black and white, I approved. The customer service assured me that they were going to re-do it and send me the correct pendants in no time. Three tries later and they kept messing up. After the third time I said I can no longer deal with this. It is time-consuming to deal with them and then send the product back to them to redo. I asked for a refund, which they refused to process. And then they just stopped responding to my emails. Do yourself a favor and find a company that is ethical and does the work it is engaged to do.

I had an issue with my first locket and they have fixed the issue and sent one that is perfect! It took some time to get things sorted but I am happy with the outcome.

Ordered a class ring for my son in August of 2025 and still haven’t received it. I’ve spoken twice with a representative and sent an email, and still no ring or anything!

I ordered a picture locket 3 times first one was all smudged on front and clasp on chain broke the second one broke soon as my wife took out box to put on and the third one was missing chain I never got a refund or discount worst company ever

If i could give this place zero stars i would have! My husband bought me a heart locket with a picture of our 1st year anniversary for our 2nd anniversary. 1st time the chain broke and heart was smudged and cloudy, the sent me another that one the resolution on the picture was horrible and the clasp for the chain broke as soon as I tried to puy it on. They then sent a 3rd time, we received the locket with no chain. Smh my husband is so.upset , this experience was the worst. The chains are thin and flimsy-- do not purchase anything from here especially not for a special occasion!!!
Updates: My husband did provide photos and the missing chain is already on the way because the company refused to give him a refund. No discount for future purchases , all they do is resend items but honestly its the quality of the product that seems to be the issue. We only accepted the chain because we could not get a refund. Please read the fine print before you purchase.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever with PicturesOnGold / SacredMedals. I purchased a necklace on May 28 as a gift, but it wasn’t a good fit. I reached out within 19 days—well within their 30-day policy—asking to return it for a refund. Instead of honoring that request, I was ignored for weeks, forced into repeated follow-ups, and ultimately pressured into an exchange.
Emails went unanswered, and when I did get responses, they were inconsistent and unhelpful. Edward completely disappeared after promising to help. Gia apologized but never followed through. Rose was the only one who tried, but even then I was told they couldn’t generate a return label, and I had to pay shipping plus a fee. After all of that wasted time, they finally sent the replacement in a flimsy envelope—the decorative gift box was crushed and totally unpresentable.
This process took nearly two months, countless emails, and phone calls just to get an exchange I never wanted in the first place. Being denied a refund, ignored repeatedly, and then receiving a damaged product is absolutely unacceptable.
Stay away from PicturesOnGold / SacredMedals. They don’t stand behind their products, they don’t respect their customers, and their so-called “service” is a nightmare.

I recently ordered some lockets from this company one 14k gold and 1sterling silver. I received them on Sunday and could not open the gold one without small tweezers and an eyeglass screwdriver, needless to say I knew something was amiss. I called the company the first day asking if someone could give proper instructions as to how to open the flimsy item without damaging it. No response; Monday morning I called back after scouring their website, asking them why was my items sent in three cheap boxes and not the ones shown on their website. I also asked for my certificate of authenticity and a return shipping label to send the gold locket back
for the necessary adjustments as this should not be this difficult to open. The laser print cost $25 per pic and this is a 4 pic 14k gold locket. The photos look like crap, almost impossible to open and close, flimsy and cheap craftsmanship, no certificate of authenticity and no return label sent to my email???? What kind of cockamamie BS is this??? Have I been jilted out of $1300, someone needs to call me and get this resolved

I purchased a delicate chain necklace with a St Catherine medal for my daughter's confirmation. The chain on what we received was completely different than the pictured description on the website--the links were huge, 3x the size of what I ordered, and unsuitable for the delicate medal. There were also quality issues with the way the chain was put together, and with the medal itself--the saint's face did not look like a face at all, as pictured on the website, it was actually disturbing to look at--a mess. Multiple emails back and forth with Pictures on Gold resulted in no action, although at first they said they would replace it and address the quality issues. A month and a half later, after no response to my last 2 emails, I was told I could not return the item for a refund. Absolutely terrible quality, and they don't stand by their product or address issues in a timely manner. Will never order from them again.

Do NOT buy anything in sterling silver from this company!! I ordered their sterling silver cross with my husband's thumbprint and special message engraved on the back with a chain for my grandson for Christmas. Less than 7 months and it's tarnished on the front and back, making the extremely light "engraved" message difficult to read. Their site says treated to last for years, but this one didn't make it 7 months before tarnishing. My grandson is devastated!! Now I need to find a company that offers a better quality cross necklace to replace it. Tried calling multiple times & hung up after holding over 30-40 minutes. Can't even speak to Customer service even AFTER they requested I call. Horrible!!!

I ordered a key ring with birthstone, picture on one side and fingerprint on the other. The picture was to be black and white and it was supposed to be a key ring. They sent me a necklace with a colored photo. Beware! I don't think this is a USA company.

Completely unprofessional! Customer service is all overseas and very condescending! I ordered 2 lockets for my recently deceased partners sisters. I ordered expedited shipping so it would arrive to them just before the memorial so they could wear it to the memorial. I typed in their address so that it would ship directly to them. They sent a confirmation email acknowledging the order. If your like me you don’t open the email “anticipating” anything is wrong if it says your order was placed. So the next day I’m filing my emails into folders when I open the email and notice it’s being shipped to ME !
I call customer service and she tells me if you pay by Apple Pay or PayPal they AUTOMATICALLY change your shipping address to your billing address! This wouldn’t be a huge problem other than missing the memorial if I weren’t FULLY DISABLED! I can’t get out to a post office and my partner who helped me just died hence the whole reason for the lockers. So I’m telling the customer service agent that they should warn people that their payment software is messed up and changes your shipping address. She states it says it puts it in your confirmation email (where it’s too late to change it anyway) . I explained to her nobody reads the emails anticipating that you changed the address and besides, what good would it have done because it’s too late to make any changes then. I explained to her that I’m fully disabled so this is a huge problem for me because I can’t get back to the post office to mail them. And the representative in her infinite wisdom tells me “ you should ask somebody to help you”. Really!!!! like I didn’t think about that if that would’ve been an option???
I could understand if this was a cheap trinket or something , even then it’s still not right it shouldn’t change your shipping address, but it wouldn’t be as catastrophic. But this cost me over $300. I expect a little more professionalism than that when you’re dealing with higher ticket items. Now I have $300 in lockets I can’t use.
**BEWARE** depending on your payment method depends on where your item ships. It does NOT matter what you want. They won’t tell you this till it’s too late to do anything about it !
**Update**
I see your reply is completely useless and as insensitive as as your customer service agent! Did you miss the COMPLETELY DISABLED part? What good is a return label going to do me? The whole point is that your billing software should actually work properly! And your customer service agents should not be condescending! Don’t apologize because it doesn’t do me any good now that I’m out over $300.00! DO BETTER by your customers!
