If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our apartments are under cladding and rather than doing their job, Pier have decided to go with an insurance company charging 3 times our building insurance because ‘due to cladding works, the building is next uninsurable’. This has taken my building insurance from £250 a year to £872 (including their admin charge). They sent a letter asking for this at the end of November and had it back dated to October requiring payment within a month. That was scam tactic 1. After asking for a payment plan, they *kindly* allowed me to pay the extortionate amount by January. On the 1st of January, they threw in their annual ground rent of £150 to pay by the end of January. Their ‘online portal’ is also buggy and badly designed meaning you cannot see a clear transaction history if a full year just your charges by month and outstanding balance. If you are contemplating having to deal with this unscrupulous, lazy extortion racket…avoid

Excellent customer service received

I needed some help with getting some documentation and Annice went above and beyond to get everything sorted out for me. She was lovely to deal with and kept in touch as things progressed. She deserves a bonus!

Beware of late payment

Just reading the terms of this companies "credit control procedures", following an invoice for ground rent at £50 if I don't pay within 7 days I get a £35 fee added to my account and if no payment before 14 days I get an £87 fee added. I've just noticed that I have a £30 fee on my account for a payment made 7 days after request last year. Is this legal? How can they get away with it?

If I could give them 0 stars I would

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was warmed about them when buying a property but unfortunately ended up with them. I now know why people warned me! The lists of issues goes on but due to their mismanagement I haven't been able to use my property and they don't care!

Setting up Tenants Portal

Having experienced difficulties setting up 3 accounts in the new Tenants Portal, I contacted Pier Management and received a reply within the hour. The person providing support was Louie Arrowsmith and he was most helpful. Recognising the issue, he immediately set up the accounts for me.
Impressive service.
Thank you

Money grabbing annd no kindeness

Awful company. No empathy or kindness from them at all. They don't care about people. They only care about money. Do not go near them. They treat you with no care at all and it is really upsetting

I wish I could put 0 stars

I wish I could put 0 stars. This is now the second time in a year I have had to dispute an invoice. I have not recieved one phone call, email or even a letter in the post in regards to a late payment. The ground rent is £50 every 6 months. It was due on the 1st of August 2023. Rather than a £50 invoice, mine is now over £600.

It seems Pier Managements tactics are to rape people out of money and finanlly send an invoice once they have met there profit margin. This has honestly got to be the worst company I have every dealt with. Hence this is the first review I have ever made.

In all fairness it was probably the rude, immature and illiterate girl on the phone... Rachel!

I will be taking this further unless it is resoved today.

Horrible company

I bought a flat many years ago and everything was fine until this dreadful company took over the collection of ground rent. They use their position to extract as much money as they possibly can from lease holders by sending spurrious letters out demanding information about tenants, even when I tell them year after year that I dont have any, and then charging for reminder letters. They send the same stuff out every year. Then £35 late payment fee for ground rent that they collect IN ADVANCE.
Horrible people. They make my life a misery twice a year. Trouble is that I am stuck with them.

pier management is the nstiest company…

pier management is the nstiest company on earth as far as i am concerned. Over charge the leasholders on insurance premiums and management fees. dont reply to you properly. when you challenge them they become nastier and try to even bend the Law. we are in the process of taking them to court for damages.

In summary, dealing with PIER Management as leaseholders has been an utterly unpleasant and frustrating experience. PIER Management prioritize their own interests over the well-being of their leaseholders. We would strongly caution anyone considering a property managed by PIER Management to think twice before entering into a lease agreement with them.

Disgusting

Disgusting. Charged a £35.00 admin fee as I was 'late' paying an invoice they did not send. They managed to send the letter including the charge however.

Statement of account

I needed a statement of account for my late parents' rental property, and this was dealt with by Amy Fletcher in customer services. Amy replied to me within minutes, which was wonderful! Thank you for helping me during this stressful time.

Getting the right person at Pier Management

I have recently needed to speak to Pier Management re an old purchase we made of a freehold.
I was so fortunate to be in touch with Mark Frood. What an asset to this company he is.
When you are a lay person trying to disseminate the language used by solicitors and land owners and old documents, you just need someone to speak plain English and cut out the proverbial for you.
Mark did just that. His emails were so helpful, informative and to the point. Meaning I felt a) reassured, b) not treated like an idiot and c) most importantly - told me what I needed to know and put me on the right path.
Thank you Mark, I hope you go from strength to strength in your job and never change. What Mark has is what most companies these days are short of - the human touch.
Thank you for all your help, it was so very much appreciated.

Exploitative through and through

Exploitative through and through. This company makes me sick. They’ve turned was was a pleasurable relationship with my ex-leaseholder into a nightmare. Their sole aim is to extract AS MUCH MONEY as possible from you… and you feel stuck and powerless. You have to keep paying expenses that pour through your letterbox. They send you invoices from other companies that you find out are owned by the same group for services you never asked for, are not needed, and only serve themselves and their pockets.

I don’t believe a single 5 star review they have is genuine. It can’t be. They’re an absolute disgrace.

I haven’t the time or will to go into the details and nitty gritty of my personal case… I’m sick of thinking about it. I just want the world to know my thoughts on them. I wish some on me would step in and shut them down.
