Piñata Rent Rewards is honestly one of the best apps for renters. You get rewarded just for paying rent on time, which we all already do anyway. The points turn into real gift cards and discounts, and... See more

I use them as a renter but also for our property management company for 100+ properties. Our tenants love The app and the incentives that come with it.

I love being a piñata member, it has helped me tremendously with my credit rating and I also love the perks.
“Great App for Building Credit!”
“Great App for Building Credit!”
Piñata.ai has been a game-changer for me! It’s super easy to use, and I love that my rent payments now help boost my credit score. The rewards are a nice bonus—I’ve already redeemed a few gift cards. If you’re a renter looking to improve your credit, I highly recommend giving it a try!

This will lower your credit 30 plus points just by signing up! Then to top it off, you can NOT talk to anyone. I tried calling and it sent to a voicemail. They then email you saying that you need to explain why you want to talk. When you do the email you back a short answer. They are literally unwilling to even talk to you or help you in any kind of way. Run at all costs do not do it
Cares about their users
They always follow through on things. They provide a great service and let you earn points through their app. I've gotten rewarded several times from them by using my earned points and always received my gifts on time. I'm confident that my data remains secure while using their platform.
Odd rules and they ignore documentation of your payments via.
I signed up for the service because I could report my past and current rent payments. To confirm past payments you have to send an email with proof. Which I provided in a form of my banking records. They confirmed all but one rent payment. Initially they told me they do not do partial payments and then closed my request. I let them know my first month’s payment was prorated and it wasn’t partial. They agreed that they could report it just provide proof. I let them know, again, I included this information in the banking records I sent them. They immediately closed my ticket and said I didn’t provide proof of payment. I pointed out they approved my other payments with the same evidence already so unsure why this would be a problem. So in other words, if you move into an apartment complex mid-month you will not be able to get that rent reported. I have used three other services in the past (boom, rent reporters, and self). None of these services have these rules. They look up your payments via the plaid link and post to your credit report. This company has you link to plaid but you have to still email your bank statements unsecured to provide proof. In the end I paid for a service I will not fully receive because Mark and Max lack common sense.
If I could give this zero stars...
If I could give this zero stars I would. Someone stole my identity and used it to rent property and I successfully got all instances of this activity removed from my credit reports EXCEPT for Pinata. They had no relationship with me and yet their name is now on my credit report and they claim there is nothing they can do. If they have no relationship with an individual and cannot make corrections then they should not be making changes to our credit reports, period.

Unathorized opening of an account using my property management's data.
Unbelievable arrogance. And thin edge of the wedge to try to get transaction fees from payment processing.
Pinata is a scam organization
This is a scam organization. Extremely poor customer service. After months of zero support, we finally got hold of a Nikki Arias who claimed to be a "Senior Customer Success Manager" but was far from providing basic courtesy or support. Pinata charged us upwards of $500 for a scam service. Stay away!
Pinata
Easy to use and i think it's awesome that you have a chance to win a month's rent especially in this economy. I think it's also neat that this app can report your rent payments to credit bureaus and help with building credit
I am a landlord who had purchased a subscription, and Pinata.ai had scammed me
I am a landlord and I had signed up with the scam company. They had promised that they would be providing my tenants with tenant liability insurance. However, they will never provide that insurance at all.
I see no point to this app
I see no point to this app. At all. Am blocking their emails from here on out.
Boosted My Credit - Highly Recommended!
Amazing app! Thanks to it, I've managed to increase my credit rating significantly in just over a year. I've also enjoyed some nice gift cards purchased with coins earned from paying my rent on time. I'm so glad that i've discovered this app!
Credit building and cool rewards, what's not to like?
Every month I'm getting points for paying my rent. I've been able to get really cool products and gift cards with those points, so it's like getting cash back every month! Plus, I'm getting my rent payments reported to the credit bureaus, which is a no-brainer to do. Crazy that I didn't have this option before Piñata and now I can't imagine not having it!
Every renter should sign up to this…
Every renter should sign up to this app. You finally can build credit for paying rent and you do not need to sign up for a credit card or anything you'll regret! For paying rent which you need to do anyway, you finally get rewards and build credit so this meant so much to me that I love to share my review with all renters out there!
This app is junk and my management…
This app is junk and my management company forced me to get this garbage and added 35 to my rent. I don’t need or want this. The rental property manager says this is a benefit I say BS!
SCAMMERS!! RUN!!!!!!
This company is a scam. They do not report your rent. When I reached out to them in regards to this, they told me it was a technical issue. Long story short they never fixed the "problem" yet, still were taking the money that I was paying for their services through the benefit package. You will do better using self and self only. If you have not heard of self, I encourage you to look into them.
