Terrible

Pizza Punks Newcastle. Painfully slow service. Dirty cutlery on the table. Not a very good atmosphere. When we sat down most of the other tables did not have any food. Waited 40 minutes for a sorry looking Margherita pizza and garlic bread to arrive. Informed that the other pizza had been burnt and was being made again. The food we had was barely warm (it seemed like it had been left out for a while before we got it) so we left. Atrocious.

Rude staff ruined the expereince

We booked a table here as we were visiting Nottigham from Devon.
We arrived 2 or 3 min later than our table booking time due to heavy traffic getting into the city centre and struggling to find parking due to a christmas market ( which we didn't know was on until we reached the city)

We arrived and a rather miserable and rude waitress told us she had given away our table as we were 20 mins late , not wanting to argue we asked if we could still get a table as on the site it said you didnt have to book, she begrudgingly accomodated us on a small table, there were plenty of empty tables that were larger so we asked if we could move to a bigger table and she said no, she needed them all for larger parties of 4 or more!! She then proceeded to ignore us for around 20 mins , no offer of drinks, food etc and we had to get up and ask if we needed to order at the bar or if it was table service , again rude and dismissive attitude from the same waitress.

I will add the other staff seemed much more friendly and accommodating and the waitress that eventually took our order was lovely as we're the lads who brought drinks and food.

Around a 20 min or so wait for a couple of soft drinks was longer than expected , food and drinks arrived at the same time!

Pizza was good , nothing spectacular, we only ordered a small amount of food as the table was tiny, had we been accomodated on a larger table we would have ordered much more.
Maybe would have been a better experience had it not began with such a negative interaction.

Don't think we would dine here again due to this.

Thank goodness we returned to Pizza Punks Glasgow last…

We returned to Pizza Punks Glasgow last night after a previous visit that hadn’t quite gone to plan — and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the experience was completely different, and in the best possible way.

Our server, Ella, was absolutely fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly hardworking throughout the evening. Nothing was too much trouble, and she checked in with us at just the right times to make sure we had everything we needed. Her friendly attitude and genuine effort made such a difference and really helped turn this into the experience we were hoping for.

The food was great, the atmosphere was buzzing, and thanks to Ella’s brilliant service, we felt very well looked after. It was lovely to enjoy a relaxed, stress-free dinner with our daughter, and we left feeling happy and appreciated as customers.

A huge thank you to the team — and especially to Ella — for restoring our faith and making our second visit such a positive one. We’ll definitely be back!

Waited an hour on a delivery and when…

Waited an hour on a delivery and when it arrived it was the wrong pizza (it happens) it had no buffalo sauce it and no garlic sauce in it.

I’d ordered the buffalo pizza so it defeated the whole purpose of what I ordered.

But the reason for the 1 star review is that when I called the restaurant to tell them about it, they said and I quote “there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it, we don’t have any control of deliveries, it’s all handled through a 3rd party” after I’d explained the pizza id received, he also went on to say that it’s
The correct pizza but the sauces have just been missed 🙈🙈 (correct pizza but just missing the 2 key ingredients 👍)

So this means if you order a delivery from these guys and it comes wrong, nothing can be done, you just have to make do with what you’ve received

Wouldn’t touch their delivery service with a barge pole!

Absolutely dreadful experience of ordering from their website. 20 mins after latest delivery time and calling 10 times on their number we finally got through to be told that our pizza had been sitting for half an hour waiting for a delivery driver and would most likely be binned and made again. What a diabolical service.

Punk Pizza = Punk IPA

The rating genuinely went up and down but never above 1.5.

Punk yeah! That's the sort of nonsense Brewdog claims. Punk Squirrel, yeah!

Fall for that nonsense and this is your type of place.

There's no anti-pizza establishment ideas here, just copies of places like Dominos and Pizza Express.

Today we head in, booked for 4 and get seated on a table for 2. After asking we do get moved, but right next to others in a large unused restaurant.

I know what I want. But before that I look at the beers. On draft, poor lager and a bad American wheat beer. For the same price you get 330ml cans of Beaverkin Shit Oil and some child focused Tiny "dodaa" Rebel. Bad beer, no local or just good "punk" options.

Time to order. They don't have what I want. Probably the most popular option on the menu (maybe) but they don't tell me when I sit down but when I order.

Under pressure now I order something I might like, add some candied jalepenos.

Food comes. Looks bang average.

The Mac and cheese + Nduja mac and cheese is Plastic mac.... You remember the one we used to sweat in as kids. Not good.

Garlic rosemary and salt bread. Like Aquaman made it. My tongue halved in size. Buy shit garlic salt and load the bread! I'm still unable to open my mouth fully.

The pizza, OK. Domino's actually better depending on where you get it. If you're in Nottingham there's a much better place down towards Hockley. Don't go here.....

the Sucks Pistols.

Abysmal customer service but tasty pizza

Initially staff service was fine. We were a table of 9 on a Saturday & had to wait briefly for our table which was politely explained by the greeting waiter. When seated we chose what we wanted for drinks & ordered pretty quickly, then it didn’t take much longer for us to decide on food and order. Then we waited………and waited …..for drinks.
They started to bring our pizza-it was a busy Saturday night so it took a little while but that was fine for the food, but not the drinks (mostly beer, no cocktails). One of our group politely called over a waitress and explained that we were still waiting for our drinks even though our food was now arriving. She very rudely and abruptly said “I know” and walked away. Not good enough!!
The drinks eventually arrived and all was well. Everyone enjoyed their pizza & the fact that they were different and tasty.
We then all ran out of drink and nobody came to ask if we needed more. Some staff seemed rushed off their feet (those cooking), some hung around chatting but not checking the room, I literally had to shout across the tables to get a waitress’s attention to order more drinks.
Basically the pizza was great but the service was abysmal!
Then came the slap in the face. The following day the person who booked the table had almost £100 taken out of her bank account for being a “no show booking”. Thankfully she has phone alerts on her bank account so She immediately phoned the restaurant and was asked to call back in an hour as it was busy. She kindly agreed and then when she called back was told again that they were too busy. She put her foot down and insisted on speaking to someone and refused to hang up until they transferred the money directly back into her bank account. Again, utterly abysmal customer service.

Definitely best pizza I’ve ever had in a restaurant

Staff brilliant and fantastic! Service excellent. Pizzas best in Newcastle! We make our own sourdough pizzas at home so our standards are very high!
Five stars for all that.
Sadly the venue is let down by other standards-a staff member with waist length hair preparing the pizza bases while her pigtails fell down the front of her, when anyone working in food hygiene knows they should have been down her back, out of the way of the food! Manager should have noticed this! And staff member should know the rules!
Women’s toilets downstairs-three toilets-one out of order. One no toilet paper. One cracked/repaired seat. Hot air dryer only blowing very cold. No bin to deposit anything-such as toilet paper used to dry hands! Or anything else. Two stars for these.

Went to Pizza Punks Newcastle today

Went to Pizza Punks Newcastle today. They only had two staff on bank holiday Monday. But Keira and Kieron had it running like clock work. They both deserve double pay for keeping it running smoothly and keeping length of service to a minimum despite being only two staff on. Ps Pizza also very good
