2. Being told I can use a referral, then refused to provide what was promised = liars.
3. Do not take Amex anymore
4. High 2.9% fees when there are other companies less expensive out there.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service! I sent emails to two sales people who told me if I needed help to reach out to them, but they ignored my emails. There is no phone number to use to contact Plastiq, it is just email. Customer Service is slow to respond to any emails. I made a payment to my local utilities and the monies were not received. Still waiting on the investigation as to where my monies went. I only signed up a few weeks ago, but I am dropping Plastiq!

Received an email yesterday that my…

Received an email yesterday that my payment to CRA would be cancelled and going forward no more payments. In order to not have a late payment I paid immediately by PaySimply. Funny thing, the payment went through my credit card instead of being reversed. The short reply from them was just that my payment has been made. Can’t speak directly to anyone. Turnaround time >24 hours for emails. No one should use their service anymore. Everyone switch to PaySimply. It’s cheaper and there is no way they can have poorer customer service.

What a horrible service

What a horrible, frustrating, time consuming service. I tried making a payment and they refused. I showed them that according to VISA policy, in a diagram on their website Visa allows Escrow payments. An escrow payment is a payment for taxes or property insurance. They refused it because they don't care what the payment is for. If it's to a certain company they deny it. I sent them documentation and the refused it again. Their 800 number is a recording. I left a message and no one returned my call. I sent them emails and they just reply back saying to send it as a tax payment. I once again I created a vendor and classified it as a tax payment as they said and they rejected the payment again. These people don't know and don't care to follow Visa policy. They just say at this time we are not doing this and have no intentions of doing it in the future. They classify any payment to a particular company as a debt payment even ofllif you provide proof to them that it's not. I asked them to close my account. The market needs a service like this but it needs responsible people that are going to honor VISA policy and not just reject every payment to a vendor flat out across the board. VISA policy does not do it and neither should plastiq. But they don't care and reject every payment across the board.

Money held up for a week with no customer service support.

False advertising, poor customer service

Plastiq advertises that they allow mortgage payments. I attempted this with a Mastercard and they rejected it because they didn't like the name of my lender. Literally, that was all the explanation I got the first time.

I complained, I even sent them my promissory note showing the legitimate name of the lender, I attached THEIR OWN WEBSITE's materials showing the payment would have been in compliance with their own rules....I also attached a screenshot of other companies advertising for them that they will allow mortgage payments.... and all they came back with was "We won't be able to process this for you."

A very very bad experience

We experienced a lot of inconvenience using Plastiq. We've always had failed, rejected payments. Also, their account services team does not allow or support payments to a few of our business partners and they were saying it is because our partners don't have enough web presence. Many businesses operate offline or don't have a robust presence. We were not getting support and assistance even if we had to pay like $800, no one's willing to help. Absolutely not a good customer service experience.

I would like to leave a comment and review about my bad experience with Plastiq. I used Plastiq for international transactions to pay my university fee and that Plastiq is only way of payment for TWU. Their system asked for a verification code, and they sent the code to the submitted phone number. But when I clicked to send the code, an error pups up and didn’t let me get the code.
Plastiq is a world wide company but they don't have any live support team 24/7 to help other clients in other country. Their automatic support machine was not helpful, just linked me to some general information page.
Then I emailed to the support team to help me. Their response is so late and this late respond affect on my university application and visa application. Plastiq has stratey to charge clients and how making money but has worst ever customer service and response. Finally I couldn't complete my transaction through Plastiq after 4 days emailing.

Have been using since 2015

Have been using since 2015; seems to get worse with every passing year. They regularly cancel scheduled and pending payments with little to no notice. Don't recommend using if you want to ensure payment is processed as intended.

What a waste of time

What a waste of time. Submitted three payments, all to vendors in approved categories, all three rejected and funds tied up for 3-5 days.

Not able to call, just chat or email, and no description aside from category not covered even though it clearly says it is covered.

Stay away from this company..

Plastiq, in theory, is a good platform. That said, their support of their platform is worrisome. Good luck getting help if something doesn't work correctly. No phone number to call. Slow turnaround time on emails. Overall unhelpful responses. Until support is better I cannot recommend using them.

Easy to pay rent

I live in a house with 4 other people. Our landlord requires a single check monthly but on a couple days before pay day. I pay rent using my Amex through Plastiq and have housemates send me their split. I get the point equivalent of $5,000+ each month by doing this (minus the fee) ON TOP OF getting my regular monthly rent paid.

All I had to do was upload a version of the lease agreement to verify my landlord and schedule re-occurring payments through my lease agreement.

Please do not use this company - dishonest, rude and blames users for lack of education

Please do not use this company.
I was referred for the plastiq business program, complete 2500 payments with a fee and one would get 1000 FFD and referee would get 2500 FFD.

Completed 2500 payments on June 30 and payment was processed on July 6. I was assured by reps from plastiq payments to government would qualify and referral system was set up correctly.

The rep I spoke to on July 21 the rep completely refused to honor this and put the blame on me (the user) for completing a payment that was discounted. It is deeply disappointing that a company doesn't educate its users yet puts the blame and onus on the advice they provided which was incorrect.

Plastiq will certainly not get any business from me and I filed complaint on BBB. I will ensure no other businesses use this fraudulent system. Can you really trust a company if it can't even provide basic referral bonuses when you have 35K-50K expenses a month?

Resolution: I would like myself and referee to get the bonuses and as compensation get additional FFD. If they cannot come to conclusion, I will certainly go to my bank's ombudsman and file this company as fraudulent to get the money back and refunded the fees I paid.

Probably the most useless company and…

Probably the most useless company and program out there. Making new rules on the fly, they stating "policy" which they will not produce so that alone tells you simple minded Bobbie doesn't know what he is doing, then as soon as you mention your frustration, you have Costco Brand emailing you accusing you of being rude because they will process one payment no problem, but as soon as you process the exact same payment to another vendor, its all of sudden not allowed. Now, before they leave the cliché, "contact our support", don't you worry, I have and that where I met simple minded Bobbie and Costco Brand. Their support is unresponsive and when they respond, it's an aggressive response tell you to go elsewhere. Useless, Useless, Useless!

Terrible service

Terrible service. I attempted to pay my
Rent via a wire transfer , submitted the payment on June 28 , plastiq customer service states it was delivered but company still hasn’t received it. Cant even talk to a real person on the phone. Point of a wire transfer is that it’s supposed to be fast and easy.

Awwwwwfulll!!

Awwwwwfulll!!! Stay away. They hold on to your money forever and dont deliver payment. Days later they cancel the transaction for some ridiculous reason and then you have to wait another 7 to 10 days again to get your refund, all the while you are unable to use the funds they are holding. and their fees are exorbitant. Horrible company. Stay away

Absolute garbage app that does not…

Absolute garbage app that does not deliver what is advertise. All the transactions that I do kept being cancelled, because "they dont allow peer to peer transfer" I am like wth? I am paying a licensed General contractor that did work on my roof. He has a legitimate company that is easily found and google and all. How can this possibly be peer to peer? I have never been able to send even 1 successful transaction so I deleted the app. complete waste of time!!!
