Delivery was a bit slow, but, since it was crossing national borders I guess I shouldn't surprised. Product was as described and functions well

After quite a bit of research, I decided to purchase an outdoor sauna from Polhus. We are absolutely delighted with its design and quality - its such a luxury / treat!

Every member of staff has been super helpful and made it an excellent customer experience from start to finish..

I would highly recommend Polhus to anyone looking for a high quality sauna at a reasonable cost. We chose the Polhus Grindavik and are completely satisfied with our decision :-)

Fantastic customer service at every stage of the process. Only let down by the team who assembled the shed (cancelled at the last minute, rushed the job, broke the glass pane on the door, etc).

I ordered the sauna directly from the website , I had a couple of questions and the sales team arranged a call very quickly to answer these. There was also a special offer that had just expired a couple of days ago and I asked if they’d give me that lower price : they were happy to do so. The pallet arrived from Estonia on time about 15 days later, but their chosen carrier didn’t have a forklift to unload it: so we had to break it down on the truck and unload it by hand (3 guys / 30 minutes): this was a pity: as the sauna pallet was well wrapped and could have been stored outside, but now it was broken down I had to give up my garage for storage for two weeks until I could do the build.
The sauna itself was pretty easy to build by myself : needed help fitting the front and back wall and doors as those were two-man lift. The materials quality (the wood, doors, glass and benches is wonderful) , the workmanship on a few pre assembled parts was shoddy (mis-shot nails and rough cuts) from wrong saw speed or blunt blades: so about extra 5 hours of sanding and finishing required : but end result is lovely.
The mistakes they made in preassembly were easy overcome with some time , so I gave a perfect score. Quality company , product design is excellent.

I can’t rate Polhus highly enough, especially Rickard who has been on hand every step of the way. We had an issue with the Harvia heater not functioning properly, Rickard contacted Harvia and had a new unit shipped over in a week. We purchased the Thermowood Edda sauna and absolutely love it! The build was easy and the materials are of exceptional quality. It’s stunning! Polhus have been a pleasure to buy from.

The polhus team and Ahmed in particular have been very service minded, patient and reachable at all times. Ahmed has provided me with answers and advice and despite my number of questions and phone calls, has been very helpful at all times.
One aspect i also apreciated was the fact to be able to pay you in SEK even if the sauna was for my house in France.
The delivery was as planned and so far i find the products of high quality. I did find a beam which is almos spit through the 70mm section but believe i will be able to glue it.
Building has started. The foundation is in place and now starts the fun part.

While the customer service was very friendly re. Delivery times that can never make up for the shocking quality of the product sent. We purchased a playhouse that arrived in a million small pieces of wood (you had to put together three pieces to make one long ‘beam’ for instance). The base was not fit for purpose so we had to source our own wood since we’d like the playhouse to last longer than a few months. The wood they sent was completely untreated softwood with no option on their site to get the wood treated…. Apparently Polhus expects their customers to hand paint a literal pile of wood with multiple coats of treatment prior to building. Sounds bad already but wait, there’s more… constructing it the quality is terrible! The door is so small and there’s no frame for it so there’s just a huge gap around it, and I mean huge! It will be in no way weather proof and we’re having to pay a carpenter to make us a door that will actually fit. We also chose roofing and felt add on which were never delivered so having to resolve that too. In short, never ever buy from these people. Definitely not worth the risk!

If only I could add photos to this review! Just to make sure any potential customers don’t buy into the BS response from Polhus here’s some extra detail:
- They’re right, the walls were pre-made panels and a couple of other small sections too but beyond that, what was delivered was insanity; a pallet of so many pieces of wood it couldn’t be delivered into our garage we had to move each piece in one by one. There are at least 150 individual pieces of wood that you have to try and assemble
- We did not build this, we had carpenters do it (whom we have used before and know are very skilled). It took two professional's 2 days to put this thing together and they specifically said the wood sent for the base was not fit for purpose; it was skinny softwood pieces that would have failed within a year. The carpenters have built many playhouses and said that this by far and away was the absolute worst to build, they quoted us much less time because apparently they’ve never seen one delivered with so many individual pieces of wood. Not to mention the novel sent for how to put it together was apparently not very helpful given all those 150+ pieces of wood were not labelled (wouldn’t want you picturing an IKEA experience here!)
- A gap around the door for safety; you should be ashamed of such nonsense! Having a 4cm gap between the wall and the door and more like a 10cm gap at the bottom of the door isn’t something intentional, it’s badly made… isn’t it funny how home builders never leave such gaps on children’s bedroom doors… almost as though it’s not in any way necessary and this is a ridiculous excuse for a shoddy product.
- You know what would be really nice and flexible… having an option where the customer can pay you to paint this nightmare stack of wood. Now that would actually be helpful. What a pathetic excuse for offering a substandard service.

I think that covers most of their points… there’s so many things wrong about this product and experience it’s hard to keep track and, as you can see from their response to me, Polhus aren’t ever going to genuinely apologise or consider improving their offering; they are going to continue pedalling this rubbish for over inflated prices. So please, fellow consumer, learn from my mistake and take your business elsewhere, because Polhus do not deserve to make another penny!

We bought a sauna PAAVO from Polhus in October 2023. Everything that can is wrong with the building. The water enters from the back walls, there is rising dump from the floors, the door and its handle has completely came out, etc, etc, etc. This product has caused us nothing but grief. Customer services is a total joke.

I purchased a Jussi sauna from Polhus and it was installed in June 2023. By September it had stopped working and I had to pay for an electrician to come out twice to try and find a solution. After extensive discussion with the Polhus customer service it was determined that it was a faulty controller, and by late November they had agreed to send another. It was sent without tracking during the holiday season and never arrived, and when I went back to them for a replacement they asked me to start all over again by filing a new claim! I have been without use of their product for five months now (nearly half of the first year I've owned it) and they have proven to be useless at resolving the situation even though it is under warranty.

The company and particularly Vicky were very helpful. She called me on time, good communication and got back to me within an hour regarding a drawing. Outstanding customer attention and polite and knowledgeable staff. Thank you.

Upfront customer service is great - very knowledgeable sales staff. However there was an issue with the sauna delivery as one of the pallets was missing. This meant I had a half-built sauna for over a month whilst waiting for the missing parts. I could have easily sourced the missing parts from another company within 24 hours but Polhus would not refund me which was really annoying. Instead I had to wait several weeks, which had a knock on effect with the builders who had been booked to install the sauna. So overall, a rather mixed experience which was disappointing given we had recommended the sauna to several friends.

Polhus was the only supplier I could find for the sliding brackets to insulate my cabin. They were reasonably priced and good quality. Communication with them was easy and very quick.

It was all the time great and helpful customer service. Quick responses, good english for us who are not native norsk speakers. Good tipps and really good updates all the time. Ewa
