Uncaring manufacturer
I discovered a Porsche in Beachwood, OH was attempting to hide damage and much needed service on a car that was billed as Certified Pre-Owned (CPO). I reported this to Porsche NA in Atlanta who replied with a canned "they are independent dealer, so take it up with them." WOW! How can such a premium manufacturer NOT care that their dealers are trying to screw their customers?? Shameful to say the least.
Porsche assistance is appalling
Porsche assistance is appalling. My 911 GTS was left in flood water for over 12 hours due to fact they couldn’t get anyone to agree to come out! £130k written off by insurance company. Asked Porsche U.K. & the AA to respond as to why it had taken so long - Porsche & AA took no accountability & ignored my mails. I was going to order a new 911 however due to the lack of response they’ve lost a sale!

Porsche assistance / Enterprise in the UK - both performing at the usual UK level - dreadful !
Dealership cannot accept broken car for 6 weeks , even to diagnose fault . Assistance cannot recover the car for 2 weeks .
Enterprise Rental do not return phone calls and do not answer the phone .
Frustration and disappointment only helped by the knowledge that German service is no better than the UK .
Ignore me
Ignore me in the hope that my problem will be solved by itself! this is probably a new Porsche philosophy! I don’t know how to convey to you my level of dissatisfaction with Porsche !!! I've been waiting for a spare part for more than two and a half months !!
I love my porsche cayenne but I will never buy another one due to terrible customer service
So back in October 2022 I took my 2016 Porsche Cayenne over 100 miles away from home to have a great weekend with my friends. Car was running great and I was enjoying my time. At the end of the trip I went to go home and the car would not start giving me DME Failure lights. Long story short I had to have the Car towed back to Porsche taking 3 hours to get it home in the rain. And paid $500 in total towing fees! Jack Daniel Porsche was excellent and gave me a loaner the next day . A few days later the tech determined that it was a bad DME and was going to cost $2700 to repair it. I asked the tech if these parts go so prematurely and he stated he never saw one go yet especially this early . I had no choice but to move forward. Then to top all of that off the part had to be ordered from Germany and it was back ordered for 1 month!!! So after a ruined trip, waiting for a part for 1 month, spending $2700 to repair my car on a part that shouldn't have went in only 6 years. I call Porsche USA to talk to them about this problem and the inconvenience I went through . It took a week or so to get back to me but Porsche did say they are looking into it. So I get call from a customer Rep named Rita, where she says glad the car was fix and if you need anything else please call us. I was like wait that's it , that's all you are going to do ? SHe then sounded like she was reading from a card stating " due to your vehicle being out of warranty there is nothing we can do". I said I understand that but I believe porsche has nothing but high quality parts in their cars, which is why we pay so much for them , and this part should not of died after 6 years. So I get the robotic response again of"" due to your vehicle being out of warranty there is nothing we can do" So I said OK can I speak to a supervisor ? Rita stated that she was a supervisor which I said great, then you can help me with this. I stated I am not lookinig to have the part paid for even though I used my home equity money to pay for it. But maybe just pay for the $500 towing or even give me a free oil change any kind opf gesture to make this a little better . Rita stated that she cannot do anything which we all know if you are a supervisor you can do something to resolve the problem. I wasn't asking for much just a gesture to show you care about your customers and to try to make this better. But nope I just got the same robotic response and she was moving on. I said I love my cayenne and just want something to get rid of the sour taste in my mouth from this experience . But the answer was no and I guess I am not up to porsche standards to resolve this! So after being such a long standing Porsche fan and finally buying my first one , I don't see a future with this car company anymore! I'll go back to BMW at least they know how to treat their customers when problems like this happen! Porsche makes some expensive but awesome cars but when you have a poor customer service the car becomes average at best!!! Paying this kind of money I expect service and people going out of their way to make sure every customer has a great experience!
I think Porsche thinks that by selling…
I think Porsche thinks that by selling their cars they are doing customers some big favour, sometimes they are not even interested in responding to customers.
Very low quality, Porsche USA takes no responsiblity
A Porsche made in 2016, bought in 2021 with 41k miles on it had these errors, they were hidden nicely by the dealer with silicon:
Lamps cracking
Headliner coming down
Outside high gloss door covers cracking
Even the glass of clock on the dash board is cracking
I had in December 2021 more than 10 emails and calls with a Billie C from customer support Porsche USA.
He said did you buy it from a official dealer was it always taken care by an official dealer. As if that matters. He said only then it would fall under warranty. Then I asked if I would have had brought to a official dealer, he said covertly no. The whole conversation was so misleading.
A 6 year old car - the headliner coming down, door panels breaking, just can not happen on a premium car.
In the mean time we had more issues.
Radiator motor broke 46k miles
Thermostat broke at 42k miles
And if it happens they should take care of such an issue. These small plastic parts of the door cost $100 per piece and manufacturing will cost $1-$2 a piece. (I know as I'm in manufacturing)
My lesson DO not buy a Porsche - the quality is not what you would aspect from a premium car.
Dump the car and the stock
No response form the office of the global CEO in Germany for the past 5 weeks, despite writing to him several times. Got a very impersonal holding mail but nothing after that despite reminders. Why bother spending so much on a car if the firm cannot be bothered to respond!! If this is the level of response form the office of the Global CEO, we can only imagine what the rest of the firm is like. Unexpected and Pathetic!!
Best advice: BUY ANOTHER BRAND
I find it unbelievable that this is the level of service you get from Porsche, who are meant to be a "premium" brand. New car been in for repair for 20% of the time I've had it. Whilst in for repair, they'll give you a car from their dealership if available (they never have any available) so instead you get given a car from Enterprise. Enterprise are told by Porsche to give you as close as possible to the car you'd bought. However they are limited to vehicles outside of their "exotic" range, which is the range that contains all the Porsches! So you have absolutely 0 hope of getting a like for like car for the time your Porsche is off the road, which will be often.
Best advice: BUY ANOTHER BRAND

Wilmslow Porsche (Stratstone) ** AVOID !!!!!
Quoted £1947.00 for a 'MINOR' Service on my 2016 Porsche Macan GTS !!!
Their 'Technicians' must be well paid eh :-) !!
Going elsewhere !!!
Porsche service in South Africa
Purchased a Porsche approved car which I'm very happy with however their service department here in Cape Town leave a lot to be desired. Apart from lacking any apparent technical knowledge about the cars (didn't know what the difference between wheel alignment - toe/tracking - and geometry - caster, camber etc) nor could they get my car to lock with the physical key when the fob started playing up. (I subsequently worked out how to do it my self). Porsche is obviously more of a status thing here as you won't see any on trackdays here (except mine).
Oh and they never call you back after no matter how many call you make or emails you send trying to speak to them. Driving there and standing in front of the service desk is the only way. And they still have asked me to come in again after over a month to verify the key is indeed not working.
In short sales great, service not so good!
Magic on wheels
A Year ago I purchased a porsche cayenne 3.2 2005. Always wanted one and at 60 it happened. All I can say is awesome. Top quality car in every department. Even a drive holiday that 2500 miles were covered i was averaging 37.5 mpg. In town driving is 20+ just. Just motd and no problems or advisories 111000 on car no rattles or knocks just a magic carpet
Porsche Service Problems
Hello,
I am the owner of the porsche taycan 4s vehicle with chassis number WP0ZZZY1ZLSA37641.
I am from İstanbul
I want to write to you about the problems I have had since the day I bought the car.
Turkey Doğuş Porsche Maslak service cannot find a solution to my problems. While my vehicle was on the road, it was giving an "electric system error" warning and cutting off the power. My vehicle was stalling at dangerous points on the road.
then when i started again. it was moving. This was happening so often.
When I took my vehicle to the service, they said that they could solve this problem with a software update and they updated the software and delivered the vehicle to me. However, my problems remained the same.
On May 3, 2022, while my vehicle was at the charging station, the Electric system gave an error and the vehicle did not move. We took the vehicle to the service with tow truck.
The vehicle has been waiting at the service for 6 months and I cannot use my vehicle.
They say the problem is caused by a part called the Ev box and that this part has problems in its manufacture by Porsche. I have been suffering for 6 months. They gave me a Porsche Macan as a replacement vehicle. This vehicle is not in the same segment as the Porsche Taycan, and it is also not as economical as the Taycan in terms of fuel consumption.
My vehicle is under warranty and its problems should be fixed in less than a month. I've been waiting for 6 months. And they have no idea when the problem will be fixed.
It is very ironic that a company like Porsche cannot supply spare parts.
This vehicle, in my opinion, has chronic problems as it comes from the factory. And I think these problems will continue. I request Porsche to assist me in this matter expeditiously.
I thought it was only me with problems…
I thought it was only me with problems with Porsche. I have had a Porsche Taycan which has had multiple issues since new, less than a year old. The latest has blown the home automation through connection with the faulty Taycan charge point. It has been 4 weeks+ and i am still awaiting Porsche to repair the car. Apparently supply issue with parts! Funny how they continue to make new cars when there is a parts issue! It just feels like porsche are not looking after customers who have already purchased cars and are more interested in selling new cars. Only a fool would believe supply issue that isnt affecting new builds!

Pathetic experience at Porsche Glasgow…
Pathetic experience at Porsche Glasgow center , they made us wait 45 mins despite having an appointment for test driving the Taycan EV . At the end of the 45 mins we didn’t get to drive it anyway as they weren’t certain if we could on international licences despite us legally driving with out any issues - now after all the wait there was barely a show of apology and Infact they seemed to be rather demeaning , frankly if that’s how they treat people coming in to buy a 90k car they can keep the car and thier brand . Absolutely disgusted with Porsche give me a merc or bmw anyday atleast they know how to treat potential customers
I have been a Porsche customer for about 10 years.
I have been a Porsche customer for about 10 years now, but I’m very unsatisfied with the quality of customer service and vehicle sales in Tallinn, Estonia which is in my opinion terrible. I hope that this attitude does not harm the Porsche brand and doesn’t reflect general values and mission of the company.
Porsche Taycan - exceptional car
Purchased a Porsche Taycan almost a year ago.
The car if fantastic to drive for an EV. Steering has perfect level of feedback and both low speed and high speed handling are divine. Its almost as good as my Cayman blasting through the corners.
Breaking on this EV is incredible, I drove a few other major brand EV's (who I won't name) and I felt they all lacked in high speed breaking. Porsche seems to have balanced the regenerative braking and physical disc braking better than anyone else.
Leather interior is as expected from a high end German car maker - very nice.
My only gripe and it is incredibly annoying - the forward / reverse knob (gear shifter) is behind the steering wheel. So every time you change it, you end up knocking everything attached to the steering column - really Porsche. What were you thinking?
Why could you not just leave it in the center console at nice hands reach, without clutter, like all your other cars?
Or if you want to change things a little, create some cool factor, why not make it a paddle shifter for forward and reverse selection?
As for Porsche service and support - I haven't had a single problem with this car so have not had to take it in.
Always had excellent support with my Cayman which I am keeping but finding I rarely drive it now. Pretty much only taken out on club days and track days now.
Company Policy or Greed?
Enquired about a Porsche last week at an OPC in the UK and was happy to put down a non-refundable deposit, subject to approval of finance, with a view to taking delivery mid next month (July).
However was told by the dealership that it was "company policy" not to 'have the car off sale from one month to the next' so they were unable to sell it to me?!
So if I approached the dealership today (last day of the month), would the expectation be that I took delivery of the vehicle today??
Appears to be very spurious and more a case of the sales representative and / or dealership holding out for a customer that can complete this month so they can meet their monthly sales target and associated bonuses payable by the Group and / or Porsche.
Didn't help either for the fact that I passed on the GAP insurance and ceramic coating ... again substantial commissions payable back to the dealership.
Porsches are great cars but sadly very questionable practices adopted by their dealership network.
Yet another example of putting profits before customers!
