I’ve tried my fair share of meal delivery services, but Prep Kitchen has genuinely changed my weekly routine. If you’re like me and juggle a busy schedule while trying to stay on top of your nutrition, you know the "what’s for dinner?" dread is real.
Here is my honest take on why they’ve become my go-to.
The Menu & Variety
One of my biggest gripes with meal prep services is the "chicken and broccoli" fatigue. Prep Kitchen actually puts effort into their menu choice. Every week feels like a fresh start with a massive variety of cuisines—from Thai green curries to hearty British roasts.
What I love most is how easy it is to navigate their goals. Since I’m currently keeping things light, I opted for the Low Carb option. Often, "low carb" means you're left feeling like you've eaten a side salad and nothing else, but they’ve mastered the art of substituting grains with nutritious, high-volume veggies that actually taste good.
Quality & Portion Size
Let’s talk about the two things that usually go wrong: soggy food and tiny portions.
• Quality: The ingredients feel premium. The meat isn't chewy, and the vegetables still have a bit of "snap" to them after heating. It doesn't taste like a "ready meal"; it tastes like someone actually cooked it in a kitchen.
• Portion Size: I was pleasantly surprised by the decent portion sizes. Even with the low-carb meals, I felt full and satisfied. I didn't find myself rummaging through the cupboards for snacks an hour later, which is a huge win for my willpower.
Customer Service
It’s rare to mention customer service in a food review, but it deserves a shout-out here. the team have contacted me and been responsive and genuinely helpful. It’s clear they actually care about the customer experience rather than just being a faceless subscription machine.

I’ve been using Prep Kitchen for 4 weeks now and I’m honestly so happy with it! Every single meal has been absolutely delicious- it never feels boring or repetitive.

I'm very impressed with Prep kitchen. I've been eating their meals for a few months now.
The good:
Food is fantastic, genuinely tasty.
Delivered on time and well chilled.
Variety is great.
Ability to feedback on the dishes you like.
Ability to change the meals before dispatch.
The less good (but still 5 stars from me):
A little pricey.
Portion sizes can be a bit small for a main meal, but I usually add some salad or extra toppings to my food.
Would highly recommend

The meals are top notch, and I’ve tried a few different options. Lots of choice but all super tasty.

The website is so easy to use, the meal options are brilliant and very versatile, the food itself is so delicious and such great quality, the staff are so friendly and helpful. I've been ordering from Prep Kitchen for the past several months. I've nothing but good things to say about this company. Delivery is always on time, meals are packaged well and the food itself is nice. I buy them for convenience as we work full time and both exercise most days of the week so it's great to come home and stick something in the microwave that's healthy and under 600 calories.
Their customer service is also great, I received a meal that was pierced then I received a tofu meal that I didn't realise I'd ordered and Michelle replied pretty much straight away. Not only have the both been replaced, they've also sent another two meals on top!
Don't listen to the poor reviews, not everyone can be pleased.
The only possible improvement I'd suggest is can you make the honey chilli chicken a full meal? It's currently a little pot. Also, brownies and pancakes are really nice!

Had all the usual meals delivery services ( where you do the cooking) But there was always an issue. Either the boxes weren't complete. Or the prices started creeping up. I've had Prep Kitchen for a while now. Gorgeous meals. Good portions and only take 15-30 mins to heat One of my meals was missing today. A slight oversight. Contacted them and I thought I'd have to wait ages..but within minutes not only was I contacted back. But the issue was solved. I had a slight ordering error but even that was dealt with and sorted. Friendly staff, understanding. Rebecca & Jordan went above and beyond to help me today. What's not to love?! 🩵🙏🏻🥰
