Disappointing to find that "Price's" "Sentinel" Nightlights are not the quality they were in the past. Out of a bag of 50, 21 did not burn properly & either went out or "tunneled" meaning my plants got frosted this winter. The candles are no longer made in the UK but are made in Italy. Will not be buying these again.
I use the Citronella T Lights and have never had a problem - Lovely strong scent and keep the pesky midgies at bay.
Absolutely rubbish wick won’t stay lit no smell whatsoever better candles in Poundland paid £17.99 for rubbish
Appalling customer service; I ordered some boxes of their white household candles, which had mysteriously changed shape and thickness. Instead of a flat base they were now tapered. They therefore no longer fitted any of my candle holders or candelabra! Unlike the old form! I queried this but was patronised to death by a customer service person who refused to admit to any liability. I am now going to make a formal complaint to trading standards, as clearly the candles do not match the shape of the candles on the box. They did not warn buyers on the website that the candles were useless! You cannot even stick them to a saucer!
I am furious I could not get a refund! This is sharp practice and it stinks to high heaven!
Prices can keep their cheap deformed candles!
Met the National sales guy at a trade fair, i was judged very quickly by him because of my clothing (T-shirt & Shorts), i went to the fair with full intention to invest in their company quite heavily, i was treated as a "Bedroom Seller" because our premises is on our own grounds behind our house, as soon as i said we were based in Liverpool this when the sales guy said he will have to get someone to "Suss you out", this is when i decided to keep my 100k per year and give it to another company with less narrow mindedness, quite frankly i think the company is struggling, they have lots of discounted lines on their site also i see other sellers selling their products at pretty much the same as wholesale price, the sales guy told us that "Some customers bought some of their stock and never paid for it, so that is why they are selling our goods cheap", this seemed feasible until i saw many lines on their website reduced in price, a very inviting wholesale price at £8 to return £18.99, in reality £10/£11 is about the correct price and this is what most retailers sell it for, Jo Malone can have my money.
I bought 2 jar candles from Prices website. On lighting the first one I noticed it wasn't burning well. I looked at the jars and saw it said 'Aladino' on the label, there was no mention of Prices.
I contacted Prices to query this and was told it was budget range and that was what I had ordered.
There was nothing on their website to say that I was ordering a substandard product.
They were expensive, not a budget price.
I went to Price's because I thought I was buying a quality product from a reputable firm.
