Guaranteed a replacement but didn't follow through with promise

- Ordered an AC unit but received the wrong model (it was a cheaper model)
- PA offered a free exchange. I mentioned that there was only 1 left in stock online and asked if I should order it. They told me not to worry and promised they would secure me an exchange for the correct model.
- Trusting PA, I returned the other model.
- A week later, I received a refund instead of an exchange. I called in to ask about it and they said they're out of stock and can't do anything about it.

The worst part is that I could have gotten the correct model, but they discouraged me from placing the order. Ended up with NOTHING for the hot summer season.

Denied an online order.

Purchased a sale item online, and didn't receive my confirmation email right away. ( Went to my junk folder) I called the customer service line less than an hour after ordering to confirm my order was fine. I was assured that the order was placed, and was given my order number over the phone as well. The next day I was notified via email that they made a mistake, and they are out of inventory, so my order would be cancelled. No attempt was made to make this right. I was basically told that, because of their mistake, I would be empty handed, but if I wanted to purchase something else, please feel free! Well, thanks, but no thanks, I won't spend another dime there. I suggest you save yourself the headache, and do the same.

This is the second order I placed…

This is the second order I placed online for product. The first over two weeks and the product was still not shipped, finally cancelled the order. Now over a week order still not shipped... I loved princess auto, but this online experience has soured me to the point where I will not order from them again.

Avoid Princess Auto - not a reputable company!

I started dealing with Princess Auto over the last few months and at 1st they were okay. I soon found out though that they aren't very interested in customer service AT ALL!. 1st incident saw them ship me the wrong item, the customer service "claimed" that they were going to send me a shipping label to send it back to them on their nickel and then send me the right one. A month has gone by without anything else happening. 2nd incident saw them charging my CC for items that were not shipped to me AT ALL! so after bringing it to the customer service department attention they again "claimed" to be sorting it out. And again nothing has happened AT ALL! So to sum it up they're really nothing more than petty thieves who should be avoided. There are much better places to spend your money and get what you paid for the 1st time round without the hassle.

Poor curbside

Placed a 1 piece order online for curb side pickup. I received an email stating that item was ready for pickup. On arrival, I called the phone number as indicated and waited for 35 min for someone to pickup, 3 times! Very poor curbside organization. I canceled the order and should have placed the order at Canadian Tire in the first place.

Princess Auto has promised for the past…

Princess Auto has promised for the past 6 months to resolve the litany of bugs and technical issues related to their useless website. Their promises are worthless. We remain locked down in Ontario and will remain locked down for the foreseeable future. Incompetence is everywhere. Princess Auto needs to hire someone who knows how to build a website that works.

I've been a customer since before they…

I've been a customer since before they opened their first store in Ontario.

I've placed sixteen orders with them (online) since April 2020 using their free shipping offer.

I just tried to place another order and although free shipping still comes up on the page header on the first page, AND their shipping page, it did not appear in the checkout. Only two paid options. Canada Post and Purolator.

I contacted customer support and asked them if there's a glitch on the site or if they discontinued the free shipping and I was told:

"There is no glitch in the system, you have to click one of those options and proceed with the order. The shipping amount will be taken off at the end."

Well, I never had to do it this way on 16 previous orders over the past 8 months. So I just know if I place the order, I WILL be charged shipping and then I'll be spending hours in the queue trying to phone customer service to get the shipping refunded. (IF they refund it.)

20 years of satisfaction with their prices and products just went out the window because they hire people that treat customers like we don't have a clue what we're doing or know what we're talking about.

I'm done with them. Good luck with the next Covid-19 shutdown folks, because in 3 days you'll be back to nothing but online orders and curbside pickup when non-essential businesses have to close their doors to customers.

Online Buyers Beware

I ordered two items online which were marked as available. Cost of shipping made sense for both. Then unilaterally they cancelled the larger value item. I phoned to cancel the rest of the order but on hold for over an hour. Sent an email to cancel. No reply and then they sent the $5 item with $10 shipping. I will never buy from them again - ridiculous poor service.

Placed an order online via credit card…

Placed an order online via credit card first and probably the last time. There robots do not acknowledge the order and phone service go on about customer service. I see another review similiar experience.It is interesting how a recorded message states Canada Post is slow.This is a lame ,notwithstanding customers should not have babysit corporate liars.I would add after attending the store,the store told me with online orders you have to will wait days as real person processes your order and She added that last floor model was sold by Her,and do not trust what website says,because this is the way we roll, bait and switch,so they get your credit card,and we have no idea or care what you think, Visa is too busy look into obvious fraudent behavior.

I wished to buy some screwdrivers on…

I wished to buy some screwdrivers on sale but the site would not allow me them in their cart at the sale price. I have complained in writing to them but they have yet to reply. I tried to phone but was told that call holds were over 1 hour.
I next ordered on sale 2 vises. This order was cancelled a week later by them stating inventory error. But the same vises were still available to purchase at full price ($50 dollars above sale price). Again I complained but they have not replied. They are not accredited to the Better Business Bureau.

Free delivery during pandemic

I placed a few orders online and they are all with free delivery during this pandemic time. No minimum purchase.
4 different orders placed at different time. All delivered with 4 days by Canada Post. Great company to provide free delivery with no minimum purchase at this time.
I'm impressed.
