In a word

In a word, wow! Thank you to everyone for your tips and advice, it was very helpful. My husband and I spent one amazing week in Paris, staying at the Hotel d'Aubusson in the 6th. I had an extensive list of restaurants I wanted to try, but managed just a few. Not enough time to bask in the many wonderful eateries in Paris. Some dishes were so delicious, we're still talking about them. We enjoyed every meal, with just one disappointment, and even that wasn't too bad.

This report covers our experiences at L'Oiseau Blanc, Le Train Bleu, Bistrot Paul Bert, Le Reminet, L'Atelier Maitre Albert, Chez Fernand, L'Avant Comptoir du Marche, L'Avant Comptoir de la Terre, La Rotonde and Aux Bons Crus. I will post separately about patisseries, sweets, and my croissant baking class (which was wonderful).

Arik is THE BEST

Our family (Mom, Dad and two daughters, ages 12 and 14) used Private-Tours-in-Israel (Arik) for a one week tour of Israel in the summer of 2013. I can say without hesitation that we loved our tour and Arik.

Arik put together a great itinerary for us, and drove us all over Israel, which allowed us to see so many things and to learn so much more than if we had attempted to do it on our own or as part of a large group. Arik's knowledge and enthusiasm were both wonderful, and our daughters got so much out of the trip from a real world educational standpoint. Arik took as to so many of the famous and wonderful religious and historical sights, but he also did a great job of balancing it off with more adventurous and relaxed events that kept us (and our daughters, especially) from getting burned out touring sites - some of these events included a raft/float trip down a tributary of the River Jordan, touring a chocolate factory and making our own chocolate, swimming in a natural spring, and hiking in a wadi near Masada.

If/when we go back, there is no question that we will look up Arik. He truly felt like part of the family after a week together.

Erik Hagalili - Puzzle Israel Tours

Erik is a terrific guide. His knowledge of history, culture, geography, geology & current events made each site that we visited come alive. He is personable, great with kids and fun to be with. Highly recommended!!!

Arik Haglili, Israeli Tour Guide.

In may 2014 my wife Julia and I had a week's tour in Israel with Arik as our personal guide. We can't speak highly enough of him as a guide but more importantly as a fine, decent young man. His knowledge of the State of Israel and its Christian Heritage was nothing short of outstanding. He is easy going, and amenable to any suggestions, time frames or any personal journeys, or requests you may have. We have no hesitation to anyone, of any faith, wanting to do a tour of Israel. We loved Israel, and him.

Comprehensive guiding from an energetic guide

We spent about 5 days with Arik touring from the Allenby bridge, where he collected us after our tour of Jordan, and he drove us from the north to the south of Israel giving us the most amazing information and explanation of this incredibly interesting and confusing country. He is a young man with a great amount of knowledge and most important, he is open-minded. He was a treat to travel with, and he was filled with energy to always want to include as much as possible, even if it was not on our itinerary. His knowledge of the history is incredible. I recommend him most highly.
