Despite the rain, the private and guided Istanbul food tour was terrific, engaging and delicious. The best part of the tour was our guide Furkan, who was so knowledgeable, about food and history and just a nice guy who was fun to be with. It felt like spending a day with a good friend showing us around Istanbul. All the places he took us were great, and the food was the top quality. We sampled cheese, clotted cream, menemen, Turkish pepperoni, kokorec, stuffed mussels, and a huge variety of authentic Turkish cuisines and kunefe dessert. The tour was my highlight of 10 days trip in Turkey. I highly recommend booking this tour early in your stay so you can use your knowledge for the time you are in Istanbul.

Furkan did a wonderful job organizing our 10 days long trip to Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale, and Bodrum he provided plenty of guidance in every part of the planning process. It was clear that he had extensive experience traveling through the country. Furkan was extremely friendly, very accommodating to our personal needs, and gave us great recommendations for our free time. He arranged everything so we didn't have to worry about the details. We have never experienced such wonderful service and support. It all begins with understanding the customer and Furkan really understood what we were looking for. As a foodie and having a genuine passion for Turkish cuisine, he tailored a trip, to ensure that we had the best food experiences in Turkey, and the amenities on tours were fantastic. The sweets in Turkey are unbelievable when compared to United States desserts. The whole experience was really mind-blowing. Turkey is an amazing country filled with amazing people. We would love to return to Turkey and visit other cities. We are so pleased that we did this trip.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful almost 7 hours culinary walk in the European and Asian side of Istanbul and we enjoyed every minute of it. We strongly recommend the private and guided Istanbul food tour more than anything. It is a great pick with tens of delicious stops, and excellent value for money considering the amount of the food we tasted with an amazing guide Furkan. He has tremendous energy and you just knew he is so passionate about Istanbul and his job. We didn't know what to expect when we book the the tour however, Furkan made the day so easy and enjoyable. We went on a food walking tour of Istanbul and learned a lot of artists, foods, sultans and soccer teams. We were able to experience off the beaten paths that made our trip totally unique from Istanbul vocations described by others. Furkan was very knowledgeable and personable. When it was time to go, we felt we were leaving behind a new friend. Furkan's strong language fluency and familiarity with the region made us comfortable and feel very secure. He definitely knows his country and is proud of it. We would highly recommend Furkan to anyone seeking to enjoy the wonder of Istanbul.

Our trip was spectacular. We spent 2 days in Istanbul with our lovely guide Derya and there was not a single detail that wasn't taken care of. We saw many different museums the Basilica Cistern,Topkapi Palace and of course the Hagia Sophia. It lived up expectations. The food walk through Kadikoy was our highlight. The food was amazing, and the experience was one of a kind If you ever wish to go to Istanbul,well all you to do is contact this travel company. This company attended to every detail perfectly.

I've done a lot of great tours in different cities but there was something different about this one. Our five people group was a mix of first timers and some who had been to Istanbul previously, and we all thought it was a fantastic way to get to know this incredible city. My family and I recently traveled to Istanbul in February 2018 to celebrate my birthday, and so I found out about the Private Istanbul Walking Tours on TripAdvisor. Our tour guide Furkan was amazing! He was pleasant and very knowledgeable of the history of the area, stores and architecture of the buildings. The food tour was surprisingly entertaining and delicious. We stopped at #1 rated baklava place, fish market, dessert place, coffee shop, and a pickles place. Furkan did pay special attention to the children in our group, making sure they were engaged. The tour was over 4 miles itself, 7 hours including a relaxing kunefe stop at the end. Even with the cold weather, it was still a great experience. I would definitely do another tour. I recommend this tour to anyone who can handle the walk and likes both food and history.

We had an exceptional tour of the historic city of Istanbul this week and was allocated Furkan as our guide. Furkan did everything he could to ensure the tour was just what we wanted. Loved it. Went to a walking tour with Furkan and it was a great way to get to see the big spots in Istanbul. He made the entire tour extremely fun at the same time imparting all necessary information. I learned so much in my short time with Furkan and really understood the Turkish people and their way of life. Lots of walking so be prepared.

We signed up for a 8-hour tour of the main sites in Istanbul. Furkan was our guide. He was so enthusiastic and eager to share his knowledge of the old city. Furkan did an outstanding job of putting together a custom itinerary based on the places we wanted and places he recommended. Furkan was able to arrange for all required activities in Istanbul and Cappadocia. The itinerary he created showcased not only the popular tourist attractions but also areas known only to the locals of Turkey. We had made this same trip with our friends 15 years ago, but it was nothing near as organized and stress free as this recent trip.

Our guides and drivers in both Istanbul and Cappadocia were so personal and flexible, making us feel so welcome and never rushed, making it feel more like an experience than a tour.

We planned this trip at the last moment but we couldn't have asked for better service. Every single detail was handled perfectly. We had a little bit of everything, old city which covers the Grand Bazaar, mosques, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, some of the city's most interesting neighborhoods, some shopping and a great Turkish coffee. We got to see a lot of contrasts between areas of Istanbul and understand the culture. We even got to experience a football game in a nearby place that served excellent food and drinks. Turks, who loves football, have the loudest fan on earth.

This is a great tour lead by a great tour guide Furkan Gokcel. You walk a lot but it is worth it. Wear comfortable shoes. We spent just the right amount of time to wander around. Furkan had great information and was able to answer everyone's questions about the area. And the food was amazing too. We had our lunch at a restaurant where we had very good authentic Turkish cuisine. The service was very friendly and food was excellent. To finish that off with rice pudding and apple tea was definitely a treat.
