Very interesting and very informative. Just the right length. The whole trip was absolutely excellent.

My wife and I went to 5 different cities in Turkey and took many tours and this was by far the best one. Our guide was Furkan who took time to find out what our interest were and tailored the tour accordingly. He was excellent and gave us a lot of information while walking the streets of Istanbul. Furkan took us places that we would not have been able to find on our own. You go where actual locals go. This is a great tour for those who have already seen the main sites of the city.

Our group was a mix of first timers and some who had been to Istanbul numerous times. Although I have seen the sights previously to this tours, I learned so many things I hadn't known before. Our guide was Furkan, a very friendly and knowledgeable guy. Not only did he give us insights about Istanbul and its treasures, but we also had a great conversations about politics, current events, the tourists he's encountered and even about soccer and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I can honestly say it was brilliant and easily worth the money we paid.
The day started at 09:00 am and finished at 16:30 pm. He arrived on time and took us on a great walking tour. We had loads of time in each of the places, which was great, and never felt rushed.
We saw the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Grand bazaar. I have done a lot of great tours in different cities but there was something different about this one. For sure Furkan is my favorite tour guide ever. Thanks Furkan, We wish you continued success and gladly recommend you further.

I and my husband booked two days with Private Istanbul Walking Tours and now we are on our way to Gallipoli and Ephesus to discover more of Turkey. The tours were simply incredible. Furkan is a great guide. His knowledge of historical events is absolutely phenomenal and relevant as well as often entertaining. He understood that this was our holiday and didn't make us feel like we were on a school trip.
For the first time visitor,Istanbul can be quite confusing who speak no Turkish and without a guide you would miss so much. Whether it is your first visit to Istanbul or you've explored the city before,there are always so many attractions just waiting to be discovered. I have lost count of the number of times I have visited Turkey. I have always found it a wonderful place to visit and is one of my favorite countries in the world. Recently I visited turkey in May and July 2016. I was there during the military coup actually.

I know Turkey has been in the media a lot in recent months mainly due to terrorism and there is a perception out there that Turkey is now an unsafe country and people should avoid traveling there. Personally I do not agree with that. When I went to Turkey I found it the same as it has always been. The only difference is there are less tourists and more police on the streets. I felt safe walking the streets, catching public transport, going to eat at restaurants, doing what I would normally do in turkey. If you ask me is it safe to travel to Turkey I would say yes and would return as soon as possible without any hesitations.

Our tour guide Furkan was a special treat. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining and kept us involved the whole way through. I would recommend Private Istanbul walking tours and especially Furkan for those who are looking for a first class experience in Istanbul and nearby cities in Turkey.
