Just Awful - 5 Star Warranty...Yeah Right!!

So I brought the Pro Rider Magna Men's Mountain Bike 9 months ago and from the moment I got it the bike had a rattling sound coming from the front handle bar area. I put up with it as I hardly used the bike...

I have since started to use it more and left it outside work for 4 weeks and the stickers faded to a nice pink colour...

I also went off a curb and the back wheel spokes broke causing the wheel to bow...

I called Pro Rider and they said the 5 Star warranty does not cover any of my issues!
I then asked for a price of the back wheel and they had none in stock so I asked ok how much is it normally, lady then said she can't see anywhere on the system as they are looking for a new supplier. I said ok how much was the old cost. She then said all old costs got deleted.

Basically this call was a waste of time and i now have an awful broken mountain bike!

This has to be the worst £150 I have ever spent!

I would not recommend this Company at all...Shame I had to give it 1 star!

Bad customer service

I have had my pro rider golf trolley for two years and been pleased with it for the money.
In March of this of this year the handle of my trolley broke whilst I was playing golf, I phoned the customer care and was advised to have the trolley serviced and it would all be put right it cost me £90.00
I only play once or twice a week soit dosent get extencive use.
On getting it back the left wheel came off I thought I hadent put it on properly but it had started to come off practicly every time I go out.
I phoned up customer service and was told I could by a new wheal, when I explained it had not long been serviced I was told as I had not informed them after 48hrs there was nothing they could do'
I tried explaining that the trolley had not had much use since the service and it was now worse than when it went, they lady was very polite but I might as well banged my head against a brick wall whilst chewing a brick.

Very disappointed.....

I have had a Pro rider trolley for just under a month now, the first 2 rounds were fine, I was actually quite pleased, (I was a little worried to start as it a relatively cheap trolley) 1 X 18 holes and 1 nine,(I play once a week) with expectation of the auto set controls which never really worked as they should have.

On the 3rd round the battery charge display light only showed up M and L which I assumed means medium and Low level of charge.(After a 10 hr charge)

After the 8 hole the red light started flickering, so I ended up pushing it 50% and turned the speed rating down to save life. It then packed up completely, unfortunately I was in the middle of a comp. so I had to push the lot, buggy & bag... not a good afternoon on a hilly course.

The next time I then made sure I charged for a longer period that night 17 hours .

The next round (The 4th time I used it) the M & L light were displayed, not fully charged as I would have expected, after 4 holes the "M" went off and it was simply the red light at the 7th hole it cut out again, yet again I had to push the damn thing.

I then emailed Pro rider who emailed and after a few days then responded asking me to contact them. I spoke to one of their customer service team who was helpful after explaining the battery wasn't holding a charge and the hassle I was experiencing they said they would arrange for the battery and charger it to be collected which was fine, however, instead of simply sending out a replacement battery and charger when they were planning to collect the faulty items they needed to confirm it was faulty (Like I didn't know!) before they could send another out to me, once they have established this , they would arrange for a replacement to be sent out. They didnt give me a timescale on how long this may take happen and a Battery etc returned to me.

My point is, the battery OR charger doesn't work, no problem, send another and you sort it out in your own good time, its not my issue! and do what ever you have to with it. All I want to do is get on with my golf and hopefully with a fully functional trolley. I could understand If I had it for months and I ahd used it for multiple rounds I could have some understanding, but its been used 5 times, twice pushed by me !

All they had to do is send another battery/Charger out and it would have saved us all a lot of hassle.

Useless from start to finish

I brought the a remote controlled lithium golf trolley. On the delivery date that I was told it was going to come I had to stay in to receive and on the day nothing arrived, so I phoned up and the trolley was not even in stock. This wasn't too much of a problem however when the trolley arrived I took it for 1 round and had to stop on the 10holes because a seal on the motor housing was loose.
On another side not I would not recommend to buy as the plastic in the frame of the trolley is too weak to support the weight of a golf bag and clubs and causes the trolley to tilt to one side making it ver off to one side

Worthless Guarantee

Before the Guarantee had run out I had a few small problems that needed rectifying. A terminal on the back light had worked loose, the saddle became loose and the plastic chain guard had developed a crack next to the fixing hole.
The rear light and saddle were replaced but for some reason Pro Rider Leisure would not replace the chain guard. I was given an email address for a manager but did not receive a reply.
When I contacted Pro Rider Leisure again, I was told that because the chain guard had no moving parts it was not covered under the 12 month warranty.
Would the same thing apply to every other component on the bike that doesn't have "moving parts" ???????????

Expected a far better customer service

I purchased via eBay an e tourer bike. I paid and got an estimated delivery date via email. I waited on the Wednesday it was due to be delivered only to find it never turned up. I phoned Pro Rider and choose the option for deliveries on the phone options. I was told that it was out of stock and it would not be back in stock until the end of May and it would not be the same bike in any event. I was not very happy that they had not even let me know that it was out of stock let alone refunded my money! I was told it wasn't their fault that their computer system couldn't keep up with their sales. I was not given any proper apology and felt I was more of an inconvenience than a valued customer! I agreed to a different colour and was told that it would be dispatched for delivery on the Friday and I accepted the alternative bike on that basis.

I did not get any form of confirmation and I was concerned at this so I again phoned on the Thursday and chose the sales option from the phone options and I explained the story to the woman on the other end of the phone who didn't seem to have any record of the previous call and asked who I had spoken to and I said I'd spoken to someone in their deliveries department. She said they didn't have a deliveries department and I said well you have according to your phone options! I got the impression the right hand had no idea what the left hand was doing!

I did get my bike on the Friday but I think it was only because I chased it up. Overall I would not shop with this company again given the very poor customer service I received

What A Waste Of A Day

Visited Northampton Showroom today what a waste of time.
My wife and I want to purchase 2 x E Bikes and I telephoned Pro Rider a couple of weeks ago and asked did they have all models available to test ride and purchase at their show roomYes was the email reply as long as it was a weekday items could be test ridden and taken away same day.Great I thought.
Unfortunately on arrival at Northampton after a 120 mile drive We had to make a tel call from their showroom door in order to get someone to let us in good job it was not pouring with rain!
On gaining entry to a dull unlit untidy and dirty showroom we were informed that most models were out of stock or limited in colour choice.
5 bikes were available to look at 3 that were to be discontinued and replaced with upgrade models. 1 that was there new model and 1 that was not electric at all.
1 of the bikes had a cable hanging from it and the New Model had a broken stand and was leaned against the wall in order to stand it up.
A total waste of time and fuel making the journey.
The lady did say that I should have called prior to coming and I explained that I had.
As the website says call at our showroom and have a test ride you would expect it to be a visit worth making. Sorry NO
Well Pro Ride you have without a doubt lost the potential sale of 2 bikes.

Ordered Pro Rider Golf Trolley

Not great so far, I ordered a Lithium Remote Controlled Golf Trolley 2weeks ago and I was told delivery would be the end of November I could live with that so I agreed. I was told I would get a phone call the day before it was due to be dispatched when It got to the last day in November I had heard nothing so I decided to call them as they had already debited the money out of my account, I was told the Lithium Remote Controlled Golf Trolley was not yet in stock and they had no expected delivery date (but we are sorry for not contacting you earlier). Feeling a little disappointed we then agreed I would go for the standard Lithium trolley and they would credit my account with the difference and send it out next day which was due today, after waiting in all day nothing arrived I rang them at 4.00pm saying I need to go out can you tell me when the trolley is due to arrive and I will make sure I am there. I then get an excuse that the warehouse are really busy and it has not gone out and it will be with me Thursday (from what they claim on there website FIRST CLASS SERVICE I have to say sorry far from it). I normally do not write reviews and I know things go wrong from time to time but I do feel a little disappointed with the lack of communication on Pro Riders part, (I would of preferred sorry I forgot to do it and be completely honest which I think is always the best policy but no they continued to blamed there warehouse which just seemed like a lie to me and easy kop out) If it does not turn up Thursday thats it no more chances order will be cancelled.

A first class company to deal with in every aspect of my purchase.

I live in Cyprus and through the internet I came across the website of Pro Rider Leisure. It proved to be the most informative of all the sites I had checked. The product was well documented and I decided to place my order with them, even though they don't dispatch their good to Cyprus. They agreed to send my order to a UK address of my choice and as I was coming back to UK on business I was able to collect the two electric bikes and return to Cyprus with them as sports equipment.
Placing the order took minutes and the bikes dispatched within 24 hours. The packaging was excellent and when I eventually opened the boxes I found the product was superb. Excellent quality and everything that was mentioned in the description on the Internet was correct. I wouldn't hesitate in promoting these bikes to friends who may be interested in the like.

Quality bike

Bought the Pro Rider Colt 6 months ago and wanted to wait a while before leaving a review. I have just come back from a cycling holiday in France and felt compelled to inform others of my experiences. The bike performed well even over some Alpine regions. Suspension made for a comfortable ride and the motor power helped my poor legs up some of the more steeper hills. The overall build quality is excellent and the bike was easy to handle. Controls are straight forward and the service received from the company has been good. Overall I am very happy with the bike and would recommend it to others - especially if you need some power up steep hills...

Shocking

I bought a replacement axel is my old one snapped on course. Fortunately they sent me a new one at the cost of £40 but the small grub screw and diagram to assemble was missing. I reported this and was told it will be sent away. A week goes past and nothing so I then phone again and it's "resent" another week has passed and I contacted them again to be told I need to wait till Monday if it doesn't arrive. Sure enough it didn't arrive so I contacted them again they have advised me a another one will be sent out 1st class. 4 days have passed and almost a month without use of my trolley very poor. And I still don't have this missing part

Still too early to say but so far so good

Delivery of my pro rider remote golf trolley was good. Assembly was easy.
I used it on a golf course this Sunday. I have one or two observations.
I used the umbrella holder but unfortunately it made accessing the stop go button difficult to get to, it's ok for go but to press the little button to stop a moving target was a little tricky. The trolley continually pulled to the left ( I have since adjusted the front wheel so that ok now) using the remote to turn right was not as easy as I had hoped for two reasons. When the trolley receives the signal to turn it diverts the forward power to the turning action and so it slows and almost stops and secondly it doesn't always turn until it picks up speed first and then of course it slows down again.
The other negative is the time it takes to pick up speed, I like to move quite quickly to my next shot and so the trolley is often behind me and I have to keep looking back to make sure it is still coming in the right direction, if it isn't it slows right down again (as above). Hopefully I will learn how to accommodate its foibles. My friends are having bets to see how long it is before I stop using the remote.
Having said all this the build of the trolley is solid, it's quiet and when it picks up speed it goes at a fair lick, I am a gadget man and so I'm sure that I will get to grips with it and enjoy using it.

I have purchased from Pro Rider before and have always had very good service

Unfortunately, on this occasion, whilst the trolley was dispatched on the day I ordered it, it appears to have gone missing somewhere along the line. When I emailed you to this effect another was sent for dispatch and it's scheduled delivery date given. Hopefully this time it will arrive. It was bought as a birthday gift which has now missed it's intended date so..............fingers crossed this time.

First Impressions.......Looks great

Looks really good, even down to the Alloy look wheels. Very sturdy build. When you pick it up, you can tell by the weight that it is built very well and you just know that's it's going to last a long time. Also impressed by all the little extras you get.
To finalise, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Really pleased !

I bought the trolley on a friend's ( he's had one for a couple of years ) recommendation and am really pleased that I did.
It's early days yet but I'm very happy with my reasonably priced trolley and it's performance.
After not being sure if I'd ordered ( on line ) two trolleys instead of one I spoke to the office and had excellent service.
So ( I hope I'm not tempting fate ) it's top marks all round for Pro Rider.
