Protected Species is the type of company you want to buy from. Their products (I have the Bomber and Commuter) are well designed in soft comfortable fabric and tasteful shades. Commuter is a little snug so would suggest sizing up. Bomber M/L doesn’t swamp a size 12. Orders were received the following day. Customer service is excellent.

I enquired about sizing for the olive green parka. The size I was after was out of stock and I wondered if the next one down would suit. Quick reply and was told that, because of the style and cut, probably not. I thought this was very unselfish so I kept checking back. Just one came back into stock in the size I wanted. It was perfect. Well made, stylish and different. The small size would not have fit.

I had a coat from protected species which I wore every day for 6 years and decided I’d like a new one to replace it, as it’s the best waterproof coat I ever had. The new one is even better if anything! Completely waterproof, breathable, comfortable (slightly stretchy so you can move and not stiff) and above all stylish! The fabric drapes really nicely so it’s flattering and the cut is beautiful. I normally hate waterproof coats, they’re so sporty and ugly- but this one is perfection. The customer service is also great!

After wearing my Protected Species raincoat through multiple seasons in London's unpredictable weather, I'm extremely impressed. As a hiker, I know what to look for in technical waterproof gear, and this coat’s 15,000 / 10,000 membrane has kept me dry in everything from heavy downpours to blustery showers. The breathability means it’s comfortable for both short errands and longer walks, and despite regular use it still looks brand new.

Beyond its performance, the cut is flattering and well thought‑out. It layers nicely over sweaters without feeling bulky and looks smart enough for city life. I appreciate the quality of the materials and the attention to detail in the stitching and finish. Overall, it delivers on its promise of high-level waterproof protection while also being stylish—exactly what I was looking for.

Excellent customer service and advice with an excellent website with great images and description. I have several jackets from Protected Species and I always get so many compliments. All my coats stay looking amazing even when I’ve thrown in the back of my car or travelled with them.

I bought the Odyssey coat for my partner's birthday - as a Golfer who is very familiar with waterproof clothing, I have to say this is one of the most stunning waterproof coats I have ever seen. She pretty much goes everywhere in this coat - a complete saviour on a recent rainy trip away to Belgium. Looking forward to their menswear collection!

I needed something smart for a work trip that took me from freezing temperatures (New York in January!) to a much warmer climate (Orlando). I bought the Odyssey in a Olive green, love this colour and it goes with everything I own. It packed down to nothing in my cabin bag and was oversized enough to go over my down coat, kept me warm and dry. I even wore it during an unexpected downpour in Florida, it's super lightweight and floaty, really comfortable. I love the shape of it, I don't feel like Im wearing a technical jacket which is always a bonus. I will be buying more from this brand.

I needed a windproof and waterproof coat for travelling to a cold country. I did some research and bought a Protected Species raincoat. It's lined, and the material is fluid rather than stiff. Best of all it performs, unlike my previous raincoat which leaked. I feel confident it because it looks stylish, and I get loads of compliments and often get asked where I bought it. I'm getting loads of wear out of it.

I recently brought a trench coat from Protected species. It is absolutely gorgeous. Love everything about it. It is an awesome investment for Seattle weather.

After doing much research for a waterproof, breathable - yet still stylish jacket/ coat, I ordered The Odyssey. Wore it in proper rain for a 3 mile (unplanned) walk and was thrilled to find I arrived home completely dry and non- sweaty. Absolutely no regrets with this purchase - I love it!

I bought a parka from this company 3 months ago. The coat is stylish and waterproof and a great colour. It is everything that the website claims and I am really pleased with it. I particularly like the fact the hood can be stowed away in the collar. I was given a 10% discount as this was my first order. I would definitely buy from them again.

Beyond excellent. Stumbled across this site, looking for a lightweight summer, waterproof coat, without looking like I was going hiking!!! Checked here for reviews before I ordered but nothing, so took a bit of a gamble. Am I glad I did. Super fast deliver and the coat I chose, the Tour Storm, is exceptional. A lovely shape, material, breathable, waterproof, doesn’t crease and nothing sticks to it, fluff, dog hairs etc. Absolutely made up 😃.
