I applied as a translator more than a…
I applied as a translator more than a month ago and my tests are still on the same point. No correction whatsoever, no news from them either. I won't bother working for them if one day my exams are corrected. They are so slow to correct and uncommunicative to do the basic things that, as a translator or a customer point of view, it doesn't give me any confidence in them. If one day you have a problem with anything, pretty sure that it will take ages for them to respond as they probably don't know what customer satisfaction means. Not worth the trouble.

Spamy pushy sales tactics
Over a year ago, I filled out the basic form for this company which included giving them my email address. Since then they have not stopped asking me if I need something translated. Each time I reply to the agent saying, please stop contacting me. Nothing works. They assign a new agent every time so it doesn’t matter if I blocked their emails. Pure spam. And seriously how often is it that someone needs a new translation? This is like a one time service for getting a visa.

I have ordered total 11 translations for various reasons like academic, general or consular/visa related requirements and protranslate never let me down. Customer service is always helpful, translators are very quick and website is very easy to use. Most of the time price is cheaper than other translation offices and more importantly you're getting this service online.

Very bad communication
I am rating as a translator. I took exams with them and it took ages to have them corrected and so to have a chance to be selected. I tried to contact them in the past, through email, contact form, telephone. I never could reach them and they never replied. Now I want to delete my account and they don't reply to me. Their contact means on the website don't work: phone in the UK where I live, and even email is undeliverable.
Update: I have been contacted by phone by the quality manager following a first version of this review. I hope that they will improve their communication. But from my own experience, I cannot recommend them.

I got the translation only 36 hours after ordering, and for a great price in consideration of other offers I got! There were a few lay-out errors and vague translations but after getting in contact with the project manager they were resolved in less than an hour! Would highly recommend!

I can’t say anything about their translation services but beware if you try to submit some documents on their website even if you don’t hit the purchase button they will start spamming you with phone calls and emails and SMSs and WhatsApp messages.
I wanted to check how much would it cost to translate a few documents. After I got the price estimation I decided to go and check a few more websites how much would it cost there and I closed the window at protranslate. Just a few minutes later (at 10 pm!) they tried calling me to ask if I need any support submitting my files for the translation request. I ignored the call as it was late in the night. Right after that I received an SMS, two WhatsApp messages and an email too.
The next day they started calling me again even tho I told them I am no longer interested in their translation services. At this point in less than 24 hours I have received 9 phone calls, 6 emails, 1 SMS and 8 WhatsApp messages and they still keep calling ..
After this I will definitely not use their translation services …

Edit: I still think that the website is quite misleading however I was contacted again by the customer service and was offered the refund.
As for the website I’d recommend to change the wording or be more clear on the type of translations you offer.

Very disappointed. I picked the service as the price was cheap but I received translated word document without any certification!! After contacting their CS I got a call from a person who gave me a “special discount” and sent a link to pay further £19! This company is a joke, saying that they provide certified translation! Avoid!
I now paid £20 to a different certified translator and for that price will send me a pdf and original copy by post.
2 starts as the translation was received fast.
