I booked my vehicle in for a pre…

I booked my vehicle in for a pre check/inspection on the air conditioning system due to it stopping working. It was give a clean bill of health by the engineer and I agreed to a full regas to fix the problem. The work was done and left a happy customer.
A week later the aircon stopped working again so I took it back to the garage. They carried out a further inspection and informed me I had a hole in the condenser and quoted me over £500 to fix.
I asked why this was not picked up prior to me paying for the regas and was told their check would not have identified such a problem.
I contacted their customer services to try and find a resolution but they did not appear interested claiming they did all they could. They are now trying to say the fault was caused after the repair had been completed. Now what are the odds of exactly the same fault occurring after a week of being back on the road. I am now registering a claim at the Small Claims court and seek an independent view of their actions are reasonable.
They promise first class experience but what I have received has left me feeling conned and let down. Like most services, you only find out how good a company is when something goes wrong. See you on court Protyrer!

I have read your response and the area manager refuses to help or assist in anyway, hence the need to escalate to the small claims court. I will update the result of the case in due course. If anybody else is having similar problems you could consider the same redress method. It’s only £35 to logged the claim and you will at least have the opportunity of a day in court where Protyer will have to answer your questions and the matter will be considered by an independent person

Poor service

Poor service. Wheel was slightly damaged and car left with dirty hand prints on the door and interior. Made a complaint and no one is interested
