Just think that could do with another check by a different doctor. As i have traits of adhd but then if i have some autistic traits then this would cancel some adhd traits out.
The waiting list to get diagnosed and titrated through Psychiatry-UK is definitely long because the service is in such high demand. However, once you finally reach the top of the list, the experience is excellent. The clinicians are highly professional, understanding, and incredibly supportive throughout the ADHD process. If you can be patient with the initial waiting times, the quality of care you receive is absolutely worth it.

Amazing experience, the forms were brutal but for a reason, I was pleased once my forms were done and the booking became available that I wasn't auto allocated someone. I was instead able to read up about every clinician and their specialties and background, which helped me to choose a clinician I felt would best suit me. very efficient system. The assessment was via video and I felt heard and Im sure I also got a little therapy within the assessment as my clinician was so engaged in my session and interacted on a level I didn't expect or realise I needed. Dr Joshua Maduwuba was firm and guiding as my ADHD tends to make me ramble, his questioning revealed things i had attributed as just a me thing and the whole experience was healing also for adult me and early childhood me. Thank you so much team

The video call at home meant I was already at ease. Dr Laura was very empathetic and helped me to talk through all five topics to reach a diagnosis. Thank you.

The experience was very good. The process was explained very clearly and the portal enables good communication. The online assessment with my chosen psychiatrist was good, although I found the technology slightly glitchy. The potential waiting list times were transparent. All in all I’m very pleased I went down the Right To Choose pathway, even in light of all the furore around private ADHD assessments at present

Was worried initially but felt very comfortable when talking go and getting this sorted

I felt belittled, ignored, and disbelieved during my short autism assessment. My mother's opinions were given heavier weight than my own lived experience, and it seemed as though the assessor had made up her mind before the session even started.
If you're a high masking woman I would not recommend Psychiatry UK, as their assessment is very old fashioned and does not take the symptomatic differences into account during assessment.
Made me feel at ease discussing my symptoms very good to talk to and very nice

The service has been absolutely great. I went to Psychiatry UK via NHS Right to Choose path for the Adult ADHD assessment. I was able to book an appointment within 2 weeks of completing all the forms and providing all the information. The assessment felt very comfortable, and I received the guidance and explanation that helped me understand the diagnosis much better along with very informed decision on next steps.
I am currently on the waitlist for Titration. So far, I would say the experience has been absolutely great.
Thank you

I had the best experience with Psychiatry UK - I was recommended to them by a friend and so glad I chose them.
I got lucky with my assessment and was seen very quickly from GP referral, all communications were clearly laid out and thorough, and the specialist who carried out my assessment was lovely, very reassuring and really put me at ease for the whole appointment.
Would 100% recommend :)

The response time was surprisingly fast. I liked the fact that you could choose which psychiatrist to see, and read reviews from other patients before choosing.

Straight forward interview / consultation. Felt at ease generally as done from the comfort of my home via Teams. Much less stress inducing than in person face to face for me. Very quick response from referral.
