Found it to be a great place to train. The gym is clean, well-maintained, and has a wide range of equipment suitable for all fitness levels. Even during busier periods, there is usually plenty available to complete a workout without too much waiting. Overall, PureGym Sutton Coldfield offers excellent value for money, good facilities, and a positive training environment. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a local gym.

Overall, I am very pleased with my decision to join the Sutton Coldfield gym.The gym is exceptionally clean, especially when compared to the Beaufort gym. The facilities are excellent, and I particularly like the additional cardio equipment and the fact that the gym is spread across two floors, which helps create a more spacious environment. The accessibility and disabled facilities are also very well maintained and kept to a high standard. The only downside for me is the opening time. Although I am generally a late sleeper, I would prefer the gym to open earlier than 6:30 AM. However, I appreciate that the opening hours may contribute to the excellent condition and cleanliness of the facility.I would also like to mention that the drink machine syrups often seem to be running low, and it would be great if these could be topped up more regularly. One issue I experienced on my first visit was when I arrived and pressed the assistance button at the entrance. I waited approximately five minutes, but no staff member came to assist me. There is also a reception desk directly at the entrance, but there was no staff member present at the time. As a new member who simply wanted to have a quick look around before joining, this was a little disappointing.I am still due an induction and would appreciate being shown around the gym properly. In particular, I would like to request that, if possible, my induction be carried out by the member of staff who finished her shift at around 5:00 PM on 1 June. Unfortunately, I do not know her name, but she was extremely pleasant, welcoming, and helpful. I was unable to identify her through the gym's Instagram page. If possible, I would be very grateful if she could conduct my induction, as she made an excellent first impression and would help make the experience even better.I currently attend the gym most mornings and am also likely to visit between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM on weekdays. During the induction, I would appreciate being shown all facilities, equipment, and any features available to members so that I can make the most of my membership.Thank you for maintaining such a high-quality facility, and I look forward to continuing my membership.

I use the gym exclusively for the spinning classes (haven’t quite gained confidence to wonder into more - this is a me thing though!)
I drive 4 miles to use this gym (there are multiple closer) because they are consistent with their timetable, the equipment is great & I’ve always found the gym very clean and well looked after.
I started last June & have currently lost over 6 stone. Coming to the classes 4 times a week has been a major part of that & it has improved my mental health (busy mum of 3 running a pub) giving me motivation to keep going.
The app is so easy to use & the best part for me is booking my classes as due to my life, I have to be organized and this way, I know I have a spot (no wasted trip & makes me go on days where the struggle is real!)
For someone who is very self conscious about weight & feeling ‘out of place’ in the gym, I can’t express enough how just get through the doors and you’ll do it! I’ve never been made to feel unwelcome.
PT's & the Management are extremely Approachable & Friendly, with a vast Array of Technical Experience & Enthusiasm unmatched anywhere else..
I started my journey last year & have come on leaps and bounds since picking a PT..
I would not hesitate a millisecond in recommending Puregym Sutton Coldfield...

Pure gym have been helpful and supportive of me using the facilities.
Over several years i have found the Personal Instructors approachable and caring.
They share knowledge about the machines and the best way to use them.
The classes are great.
However i really like the new modern approach to “ fixing up” the gym with a brand new layout more equipment. Its great!!!!👍🏾💯

GENERAL experience very good except that disabled parking is always occupied by vehicles with no disabled badge displayed.

I like to get my gym session in before i go to work however, three times on a Wednesday i’ve stood outside the gym waiting as a the same member of staff is either late or just doesn't show up at all. Theres not even a way of contacting or speaking to anyone either which i think is an absolute joke. This morning I have had to miss a workout as the time was 6:50 and still not a staff member in sight. People have places to be and if you state you open at 6:30 the gym should be open! Also, Monday mornings i have noticed the women's changing rooms are gross, so dirty as if it has just been left over the weekend, absolutely disgusting.

The gym has had a major refurbishment and has recently got some great new equipment. However unfortunately my experience has fallen short at the club short due to a female personal trainer intials A.T who made claims to the manager I made her feel uncomfortable, I sent an email to gym services to complain and they investigated and found me to be innocent. It’s such a shame as it made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued as a memeber. People be wary, particular men when speaking to her you may be falsely accused. Avoid like the Plague.
Had the whole gym renovated, painted and new equipment yet still have mould running through upstairs that's BLACK. This gym had a very serious flooding incident the whole gym got flooded. Mould Is a serious issue told numerous members of staff still nothing done about it over 6 weeks later. Tried calling but no direct line to speak with managers and they leave by 5 in the week and not there weekends so literally pointless trying. Real shame because the new equipment is really good and is a good gym otherwise apart from the fact they've removed a much needed smith machine for yet another squat rack that won't be used.

As a first time gym goer - I thought it'd just be easier to pop in and speak to someone and join. I thought there'd be a health questionnaire. When I got there - I couldn't get in. Another customer let me in - then she was locked out! Then once I got in I just ended up joining online. I couldn't get the vending machine to work (as I needed to buy a padlock). I think the onboarding process, especially for new gym users, could be a lot easier. Once I got in - I had a quick chat with Emz (he was already with someone - so I'm grateful to him for taking a few moments). But - these are just teething problems. I got ChatGPT to come up with a workout plan - and I've got an induction booked in. Now I know how it all works - I'm sure it'll be great!

You have spent quite a lot of money up grading the gym but you've reduced the number of rowing machines from 7 to 2
I only use 3 pieces of equipment, and now my experience of the gym has been ruined .
I often miss out using the rowing machine as it's always in use.
I mentioned this to a manger but her message was ,it's a deliberate action they've taken to , in her words pare back the equipment.
I'm not very happy at all

Tried the free open day to see if the gym was worth changing to and was sadly disappointed. Very stale atmosphere, too cramped downstairs, lack of machines upstairs, whole gym just feels under equipped. Good amount of dumbells but the grips have no knurling on them so you cannot grip them if you have even slightly sweaty hands. No basic leg extension or hamstring curl machine, hyperextension machine pad was loose and could not secure it into place. Only one cable pulldown machine downstairs, even bare basic gyms have more than that. No calf raise machines at all, and this has nothing to do with the gym itself but other members there spent more time scrolling through tiktok than actually working out and dumbbells/plates were left in the wrong places or on the floor. Overall felt bored in this gym and couldn't wait to get my workout done and get out. This gym is ideal for people who love cardio as there's hundreds of cardio bikes in there but for people serious about strength and muscle building I would suggest going to another gym.

Code for door didn’t work and as a result, I could not speak to anyone, so I walked away vowing never to return as all I could speak to was AI and not a human. Sutton Coldfield open day farce. Even worse to the story - I got locked out due to a knee issue as I have a disability and need to give 48 hours notice. No thanks PS no one came to assist and did not press the assist button as there wasn’t one, just a bar code to scan.

The seated dumbel area: the seats are too high for reaching down in each side to kift weights to starting position and rest during reps meaning hip side and flexor are strained and inflamed leading to discomfort

Even though I am a 'newbie' I have felt comfortable there. Staff always ask for me to shout if I need any help. I was really worried about joining on my own and put it off for a year but got my first MIND class tonight, looking forward to it! I never give 5 stars for anything because there is ALWAYS room for improvement ;)

Only been a few times with my brother in law and last night while we was in the gym his car was stolen from the car park.
There is no working CCTV on the car park and there is no security on the car park.
For a cheap gym expect to have your car stolen.
Otherwise pay that bit more to have peace of mind while working out in the gym and have a secure car park.
There should be ampr or security on the car park to give customers peace of mind. Not to go inside the gym and walk out to your car gone from being stolen.
£20.99 per month is cheap but what’s that cost you? Your car!
The one stair master is broken so there is only one that can be used which is always in use. Such poor quality equipment.
For a well known gym I thought it would have been a lot better and a lot more secure than it actually is. As I said you’re paying for a cheap gym from what to walk out from your work out to have your car stolen.
