Purchased a Marcy GYM via Amazon
Purchased a Marcy GYM via Amazon. All delivered fine one small problem with a part. Can't contact by phone (due to Covid) two emails to get a reply wrong part sent two further emails no reply. 5 weeks now since initial problem. If you cant service your customer due to COVID don't take their money for the goods.
Avoid
Really poor company to deal with. They use DX Freight to deliver, which is the most useless delivery service around. Delivery can only be made Monday - Friday, so it is no good if you work during the week. Correspondence is painfully slow, although polite, but with no real solutions offered. Save yourself the hassle and just avoid.
Initial response to my query was late…
Initial response to my query was late but I did get an apology.
The answer to my query would mean exchanging the flywheel etc but I was not offered any advice as to the returns procedure for that and, to date I have still not had any response to my emails. Also this company are refusing to take telephone calls (‘due to the Coronavirus’!) and instead ask you to email them. After that ......... it’s a waiting game. I haven’t spent money on a machine that we cannot use and to add insult to injury is less than a year old.
This company are a disgrace
This company are a disgrace. The rowing machine I purchased from them broke down due to an inherent fault. The instruction manual included a list of parts available for purchase and I would have been happy to buy the parts and have it fixed. However they refused to sell me them. I am left with a 'hardly used' machine that can only be thrown away.
Do not buy anything from this awful company.
PureTec Fitness 2 year warranty hard to use.
PureTec Fitness and a Marcy B80 onyx Exercise Bike.
Six weeks since I asked for help under the 2 year warranty.
Got an offer of a replacement. Accepted the offer.
Never heard any more. Enquired and told they had lost the correspondence.
Each email was followed by silence.
Their phone line is blocked and only taking emails which they don’t reply to.
Bought through Argos. They contacted them. I got an email asking for details.
Duly sent but no reply from Pure Tec.
They are trading also as “Exercise.co.uk”. Same service names used on their emails.
Lessons learnt - Pure Tec are not likely to be of any use under the warranty and maybe don’t buy from Argos.
Absolutely do not buy anything from…
Absolutely do not buy anything from this company which is known as exercise.co.uk.
Director known as David Gilson, no satisfactory costumer support or telephone available to discuss issues.
Poor or no response to email etc.
Buyer beware.
Great customer service
Really surprised at all the other reviews.
Contacted customer services for a replacement part, they got back to me next day. I had me replacement part within a week. Great customer service!
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible!
Initial order was delayed... poor logistics and even worse customer care.
I bought a multi gym piece of equipment and after a few months the welds of the joints have started failing!!!! Huge health and safety hazard when you’re lifting more than 100kgs above yourself.
Products look to be Made in China and terrible build quality. not as robust as they are advertising. When I contacted the supplier, they are denying the fact of poor build quality and refusing to rectify the issue. Completely avoid puretec fitness and their sister site exercise.co.uk unless you would like a nasty injury from their terrible equipment.
Product information is mis leading and inaccurate and the seller does not want to honour their guarantee.
Awful experience
Absolutely avoid this company, customer service is terrible and useless
Absolutely disgraceful company
Absolutely disgraceful company, Gym equipment was being sold on Argos website, I made the mistake of thinking that because Argos was being used a reseller for this company it might be legitimate. However I had to wait ages for a delivery with no tracking provided, when the equipment finally arrived the condition was abysmal, I immediately asked for a replacement to be sent out. Not only was the replacement delivered late but it was delivered in a worse condition than the first delivery, no instructions to assemble the weight bench in the box, loose nuts floating in box also so unable to determine if there is any missing nuts and washers.
Thank God for trust pilot
Thank God for trust pilot. Realised same company as Exercise.co.uk and nearly made the same mistake and order £5000+ worth of home gym equipment. Couldn’t have gone through all this again. AVOID, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Poor Customer Service
Poor customer service. Called to confirm delivery for same day, on 2 separate occasions, then didn't turn up for another week. Email from customer services to admit they sent power cage & weights without bench as they'd run out of stock! Offered replacement bench but haven't heard back since - no way to call either!! Now opened rest of gym to discover missing & damaged parts. Want to return whole thing, but again - no way to contact them & not replying to emails :0(
We ordered online via exercise.co.uk on…
We ordered online via exercise.co.uk on 10th of April and we were emailed that our rowing machine will be delivered on 28th of April. When called customer services we were informed to email puretec. Emailed puretech on 30th April but still no response. We were charged £69.99 as first payment but no update of followup from these businesses. Total waste of our time and money and terrible customer service. Not worth buying things from them at all.
No Tracking, no contact possible....... goods not delivered ! .... Update - arrived after 9 days.
I placed an order for a bench for £199 on the 19th March 2020 via their Ebay store. Slightly slow to dispatch, shown as arriving via UPS 23.03.20 but no tracking number provided.
I messaged them for tracking number with no reply. Having sent them another message I got an out of office saying they are now closed until 30.03.20, phone numbers don't connect this morning.
Reported to EBay yesterday who were of no help at all.
UPS APP says no deliveries expected to my postcode, I have no way of knowing if the item has ever been dispatched as listed on EBay, it certainly hasn't arrived ! Do I order elsewhere or wait for a week to get an answer ?
Those thinking of ordering need to be aware ..... or indeed beware !
Update 28.03.20 - item was delivered today, had some contact with company via EBay message and email, info provided vague though, no confirmation of dispatch or tracking ever provided despite promises.
I suspect like other companies they have struggled with issues of increased orders and reduced staff caused by Covid-19, however communication, even generic reassurance messages could have been much better.
To be fair, thanks for supplying in difficult times, additional 'star' added.
Genuinely good people and great…
Genuinely good people and great customer service. I bought a bike from them which was delivered for free; didn't work for me for personal reasons, they sent (free) two separate items to try to address and talked me through the fixes. Still didn't work for me so they sent me a box to send it back in (free) for a full refund. you cannot beat that!
