Trying to contact Qatar customer services to see if possible to change a flight as it seems I can't do it in the app. Called one advertised phone number that referred me to an English speaking number... See more

Qatar Airways support crooks
Qatar Airways have set up a 100% owned subsidiary company called Qatar Holidays. When I elected to take a complementary accomodaytion to break my flight from Sydney, I was transferred to the Qatar Holidays site without any warning I was leaving the Qatar Airlines site.
Qatar Airways cancelled the flight and have advised that I need to take the matter up with their subsidiary company. Qatar Holidays have been lying for 4 months saying they are arranging a refund....which they are not and Qatar Airways takes no responsibillity for their subsiduary company.
It use to be very good
It use to be very good. Declining experience now.
Qatar doubled the price of our flights, ten days before we fly
Advised by Holiday Cart, the agents we booked through, that Qatar cancelled our flights to Bangkok last Friday and we are due to fly out on July 1st.
We won't get our refund of £1199.97 for 14 days so need to find the funds to book exactly the same flights again which are now listed by Qatar at £2504.10
Any advice on how to contact Qatar as they aren't responding to messages we are sending?

My journey started in Dubai to Toronto
My journey started in Dubai to Toronto, I checked in Qatar Airways and I must say 💯 quality service I received from ground staff to Cabin crews. Seats were very comfortable and hospitality was 5* services, specifically from cabin crew Helen. She was so sweet and hard working, never sat for 5 mins in whole journey. Hats off to her energy👍
We had a flight that was 4 hours late
We had a flight that was 4 hours late, and were therefore told by a staff member when we landed that we could get compensation. Now we are 6 months behind, where we have registered everything properly, received approval for 4 people, but we have never received money.
Very poor service and approach to its customers.
Don´t expect their customer service to help you.
Qatar Airways cancelled my flight after providing entirely incorrect information beforehand. I submitted an official compensation claim, but the company is now using blatant delaying tactics and has completely stopped replying to my case. Extremely poor customer service for a self-proclaimed five-star airline.
Lucky they got 1 start from me because…
Lucky they got 1 start from me because they deserve no stars.
Rubbish airline, customer service advised incorrect information & disappointed all around. As an independent travel agent I would never fly with this airline.
Full of lies and setting blame on others
Due to Qatar Airways website not…
Due to Qatar Airways website not telling me the exact dates/time they forced me to pay $159.00 to make a change to a flight I had booked 5 minutes ago.
Extremely disappointed with Qatar…
Extremely disappointed with Qatar Airways' customer service.
Our family of 7 passengers booked three linked reservations because one passenger is travelling with 3 children and an infant, and we needed to sit together to help her throughout the journey.
What should have been a simple Business Class upgrade inquiry turned into a complete disaster.
* We were given incorrect information by customer service.
- We were told that if payment wasn't completed, the booking would simply remain in Economy. No one ever said our return flight would be cancelled.
- Our return flight disappeared with no email, no phone call, and no notification.
- We were then told we had to pay additional fees to fix a problem caused by Qatar Airways.
- We were forced to change our return date from 7 August to 9 August, rearrange work commitments, pay extra money, and lose our selected seats together.
Despite spending hours on the phone, the only thing we received was repeated apologies—no accountability, no meaningful solution, and no compensation.
For an airline that markets itself as a five-star carrier, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Customers should never have to pay for mistakes made by airline representatives.
I recently flew with Qatar Airways from…
I recently flew with Qatar Airways from Toronto to Doha, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. At Toronto Pearson International Airport, the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional without exception. Their attitude made the check-in process stressful and unpleasant.
To make matters worse, I was charged $75 USD for only 3 kg of excess baggage, which felt unreasonable and overpriced. There was no flexibility or understanding from the staff, and the customer service was far below expectations.
Overall, this was a very poor experience, mainly due to the bad service at the Toronto airport. I expected much better from an airline with such a strong reputation.
I genuinely questioned how Qatar…
I genuinely questioned how Qatar Airways has earned its reputation as the "best airline in the world." Based on my experience, I would tell travelers: don't believe the hype.
I was moved from my originally assigned seat to an emergency exit row located adjacent to the lavatories. Throughout much of the flight, I had to endure a persistent odor of human waste, which made the journey extremely unpleasant.
An even bigger disappointment was the conduct of the cabin crew. Because of my seat assignment, the jump seats for takeoff and landing were directly in front of me. On my flight from Doha to Boston on June 18, our landing was delayed twice by air traffic control, leaving two flight attendants seated in front of me for approximately 45 minutes. Rather than maintaining professionalism, they openly carried on a conversation that every nearby passenger could hear.
During that time, they repeatedly complained about working for Qatar Airways and said they wanted to quit. They stated that the main reason they remained with the airline was the free housing benefit, since they doubted they could otherwise afford to live in Doha. They also discussed recent cost-cutting measures, expressed indifference toward providing world-class service because they had not received their usual annual bonuses, criticized their supervisor, spread rumors about management, and talked at length about drinking, partying in Boston, and hoping to date an American as a way to eventually leave Qatar.
Whether those personal comments were true or not is beside the point. The fact that they were discussed openly in front of paying passengers reflected a level of unprofessionalism I did not expect from an airline with such a prestigious reputation.
To ensure my account is transparent and accurate, I also intend to publish a video on YouTube in the coming days that includes audio or video of the conversation I witnessed during the flight.
My verdict: based on my experience, I would not recommend choosing Qatar Airways solely because of its perceived world-class service and flawless reputation. I expected a much higher standard and left disappointed.
To the Qatar Airways Privilege Club…
To the Qatar Airways Privilege Club team,
I am writing to formally escalate an unresolved issue that has now cost me many hours and left a significant balance of points unusable.
On the advice of your staff, I transferred my Payreward points into 400,000 Avios specifically so I could book a reward ticket for my daughter as a co-traveller. At no point before this transfer was I told of any restriction that would prevent this booking.
When I attempted the booking, I was unable to add my daughter's name. Over multiple phone calls, several of your staff assured me the problem would be fixed promptly; it was not. On your instruction, I submitted a written complaint, and I received a reply stating the matter was resolved and inviting me to try again. It still did not work. On my most recent call, I was told the booking cannot be completed because the points must be transferred from specific cards first — a requirement that was never disclosed to me before I converted my points.
I have been a member for few years. I transferred these points in good faith based on your staff's guidance, and I now find my points effectively stuck and the intended trip for my daughter impossible to book.
As an Australian consumer, I would note that being advised to convert my points on the basis of a booking that your own systems and rules do not in fact permit raises concerns under the Australian Consumer Law, which prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct. I would prefer to resolve this directly and amicably with you, but I want to be transparent that I am aware of my rights and the external avenues available to me.
I am therefore requesting that you either: (1) enable the co-traveller reward booking for my daughter using my existing 400,000 Avios as originally advised, or (2) reverse the points transfer in full so that my balance is restored to its prior state.
Please confirm in writing which resolution you will provide and the timeframe. I would appreciate a response from a supervisor or case manager rather than a general reply.

Worst Airline service in my life
Worst Airline service in my life. I had 2 connecting flights and both were delayed. And this delay cost me couple of $1000. Just bcz of their negligence. When I asked for a compensation, they refused and said we'll compensate only for our flights but not for other flight.
Never gonna travel again with them ever.
Booked a flight with Qatar - still no refund
Booked a flight with BA (operated by Qatar). Flight cancelled a couple of days before return flight. No contact, no offer of an alternative flight, no refund. Left to fend for myself in Hanoi, Vietnam back in March 2026. Qatar (and BA) website and app utterly useless. Could not contact them and so had to book my own flight home via China.
It's now June 2026, and after numerous emails back and forth, between BA and Qatar and TravelUp, still no sign of a refund for the cancelled flight. BA blame Qatar, Qatar blame BA or the travel company. Travel company useless also.
Looked at ABTA, ATOL - far too complicated to even contact them.
A multi-million pound company and they can't be bothered to refund what is legally mine, about £500 (maybe less).
Rip-off Britain strikes again at the little man :(
Qatar Airways Worst customer service out of any Airline in the world
Qatar Airways have some.of.the worst customer service in.the world. Ima gold member and Qatar regularly change flights to disadvantaged their passengers, and if you miss around something as a result of them charging not a problem.
The Qatar Airways staff lie to you, treat you like dirt, they're so disrespectful and I will not take any responsibility for the mistakes 100% the Arilines fault.
I sated they say sorry in a very patronizing response and they tell you pay something else if you want.
Qatar Airways have no care and take no responsibility for their mistakes and Incompetence.
If I was to rate Qatar Airways for customer service of something goes wrong which is 100% their fault, I would rate them 1 out of 1000.
Absolutely disgracefully bad customer service.
Had family from Germany fly with Qatar…
Had family from Germany fly with Qatar Airways.
They were in the air when the US attacked Iran and the airplane had to return mid-flight.
When they arrived back at the original airport they were just handed a paper with Qatar contacts, which non of them could be reached.
No help from the airlines regarding accommodation or rebooking flights, no compensation, nothing.
From an appearent top airline you would and should expect more.
Never using them again!
its been almost 4 days
its been almost 4 days, since Qatar airways restricted my account after i deposited almost 350k worth of avios, all in the name of securing my account from fraud, i have sent them countless emails, spoke to closer to 50 agents in the last 4 days, emailed them with my ID, what kind of non sense is this company they don't even have an internal communication channel apart from an email, which they email and they keep escalating, they have escalated my issue so much that the escalator is not even working anymore. shameless.
Greedy, Thieves and RUDE
Greedy. Arrogant. Rude. Thieves.
They cancelled my grandparents flight and they did give a FULL REFUND.(this is first scenario)
Not only that a single typo on the name will cost you 100$ after noticing it 10min purchasing the ticket.(this is the 2nd scenrio)
After I do my business flight - I will refuse to fly with Qatar. Stick to your Etihad/Emirates.
Misleading cancellation policy and poor customer service
We contacted Qatar air and asked if we booked a particular flight would we eligible for a refund if we needed to cancel We were told we would We even have an email stating we would be eligible for a refund but when we had to cancel they took a $700 fee because “they changed their policy” after we booked. Customer service is extremely poor Showed no interest in helping us After talking to other Qatar customers we realise this is a common problem
