Woke up Sunday morning to find the power was out in the kitchen, after a bit of investigating discovered this was due to the Qettle water tank which was tripping the circuit regardless of whether the tank as on or off.

No sign of any leaks and no sign of any damage to the cable.

Contacted support and they confirmed it must be an internal fault, no part of the tank is serviceable or parts replaceable and therefore we will now need to purchase a new tank for £300.

Filters have been replaced and tank cleaned approximately as stated, so you kind of expect that although the warranty only covers the first 2 years it would last at least 3.

Oh well guess it’s time to fork out as it’s either that or just have a tap with 2 filtered water positions for filling the old kettle which thankfully we kept hold of.

Excellent customer service. I was missing a few screws and they were delivered the next day. First month of use and the tap works very well indeed. I’m impressed with the quality and it’s noticeable that this is a true 100 degree tap compared to my previous one,

Good communication and excellent equipment ! Fitted perfectly and all works brilliantly (we replaced a much more expensive rival tap, and I am pleased that we did !!!).

Great product , filter changes and descailing must be done every 6 months in hard water areas .
Also the non return valve in the cold water inlet on the heater can get blocked which slows or stops the water entering the tank . Dean jones

Nicola (and other support colleagues are equally great) was very helpful when we came back from holidays and found the drip tray under the old style Version 1 cuboid boiler (4l) almost full. I contacted the Support address with videos and photos. In fact, this boiler was a replacement for the previous one (version 1 design) so I was not sure whether I would have to pay for a new one but I was expecting this one to last for longer. Thankfully, Nicola sent me the 'new version 2 design' 4l boiler which is very sleek and saves space under the sink. The boiling water does not spit as much as before either.

As I said to Nicola, Qettle after-sales service is so great that these issues don't detract from what a nice product/company it is. The only issue I have had is the boiler leakage. Last year, we had a new kitchen fitted and we have said that the Qettle tap is top gadget that we would miss the most.

Questions were answered quickly with detailed responses. The product arrived very quickly and well packaged.
Love love the hot tap but the chill water is worth the extra pennies.

Excellent product ( only had it 4 weeks) Good communication and service

Generally great and happy with our tap. However, we have found that when washing up it does splash water over the floor quite a lot which is irritating. We have a Belfast sink. With previous taps we have had extensions to prevent this, but Qettle do not do one and there are no third party ones available which would work. We were advised to choke the inward flow slightly which has helped a bit, but it's still slightly irritating! Other than that it's a nice tap and the customer service has been helpful for a few other minor problems we've had.

ADDENDUM following reply:
I was just following the advice given to "reduce the flow of the tap by closing the green shut off lever slightly". The problem is in fact with the cold/hot, not boiling/filtered, so I did the equivalent with the isolation valve which feeds the cold. This has helped a bit but it's not ideal. Our water pressure is around 3 bar, so well within what is recommended. The issue is the distance from the end of the tap to the sink. I was rather hoping to get a tap extension which would be the best solution.

Great products, fantastic customer service. Customer service replies are really fast, sorting out any problems asap. I was a bit hesitant to buy the taps when i read the reviews, though i cant fault them at all. Im glad i chose the qettle tap as its excellent quality.

Second time of using this brand of hot taps and that is because they are great value for money and full range of parts available if needed.

Qettle have been responsive to all my questions and have given very good customer service throughout our purchase. There has been no pressure sales and there were constructive discussions about the suitability of the tap for our needs. Now the tap is installed it is working very well.
