Also damaged rear nearside alloy wheel was not repaired as agreed. We were told it had been dealt but car was delivered with the the wheel not repaired. Don't trust this firm they tell whoppers! Decided it was a waste of my time trying get it sorted. Otherwise car is good

I purchased a vehicle from QPX…

I purchased a vehicle from QPX Stevenage in May 2026.

Shortly after taking ownership, I discovered the vehicle had been supplied with neither a spare wheel nor a puncture repair kit. After I contacted the dealership, they sent me a puncture repair kit, which I appreciated.

On 27 July, the windscreen washers stopped working. When I reported the fault, I was initially advised that I would need to pay a £150 warranty excess and wait until September for an appointment at their workshop in Stevenage. As I live in Coventry, this would also have meant a 140-mile round trip, significant fuel costs and taking unpaid leave from work.

It was only after I raised my statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act that the dealership agreed to repair the vehicle under those rights and waive the £150 excess. However, by this point 10 days had passed since I first reported the issue.

As I needed the vehicle to remain safe to drive and could not justify the time, travel and inconvenience, I arranged for the repair to be carried out locally. The fault was a failed windscreen washer pump. The replacement part cost around £15 and the repair took approximately 20 minutes.

The staff were polite throughout, and I appreciate that they eventually agreed to waive the excess and repair the vehicle. However, I was disappointed that my statutory rights were only acknowledged after I challenged the initial warranty position, and that the proposed solution remained impractical given the distance involved.

On Wednesday

On Wednesday, 1 July 2026, I paid a £100 reservation fee for a Toyota at Quality X Dunstable. The salesperson assured me that the fee was fully refundable. The following day, I called to cancel the purchase because I was unable to secure finance from my bank, and I requested my refund. They asked for my card details, which I provided.

After receiving nothing, I called again on Friday, 10 July, and was once more assured that the refund would be processed. Unfortunately, I still haven't received it.

I've now had to raise a dispute with my bank to recover my money. This has been a very disappointing experience, because repeated promises of a refund were never followed through. I hope the dealership resolves this promptly and improves how it handles customer refunds. If you're told a fee is "refundable" here, get it in writing, because their word clearly doesn't match their actions.

Been involved in an accident prior to purchasing …

Brought a Ford fiesta from this company over a year ago now. Travelled a distance due to the competitive price. When taking it for a test drive originally the aircon wasn’t working which they did get booked in and fixed for me, I also paid extra for an AA check over on the car. However since having it I have taken it to get professionally cleaned as the last few times I’ve had it washed over the year more and more scratches have started to randomly appear, I have now been told that my car was involved in an accident in the past and it has all been re sprayed and repolished and this is probably the reason I paid so cheap for it. Never once was this mentioned when purchasing the car which I find disgusting. Probably why the price of the cars are so cheap compared to other dealerships.

Great Cars and Service

The car was well priced and in great condition, there were no signs of issues being hidden. The team were patient and friendly all the way through to the sale and support. When I ran into difficulties with insurance to drive away, the car was delivered free of charge as an exception to help me out. I found one or two minor issues, as an example, tyre sealant for puncture repair was missing. I received a new bottle in two days with no arguments. I will be going back when I am ready to purchase a car again.

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST!

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST!! EXTREMELY POOR EXPERIENCE

I am writing this review to warn potential buyers about the unacceptable level of service and lack of integrity at this dealership. My experience here has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge anyone considering buying a vehicle from them to look elsewhere.

The Mechanical and Electrical Issues:
Within the very first week of ownership, it became clear that the car I purchased was not fit for purpose. Almost immediately, I began encountering multiple mechanical failures and serious, recurring electrical faults. It is deeply concerning that a dealership would sell a vehicle in such a dangerous and unreliable condition. It is evident that the vehicle was not properly inspected or prepared before being sold.

Unprofessionalism and Negligence:
The behaviour of the sales team has been shockingly unprofessional. Dealing with them has been an exercise in frustration. They clearly lack the necessary knowledge and training to manage basic customer relations or handle vehicle issues competently. Their attitude toward the situation has been completely devoid of care or sympathy; rather than working to rectify the issues, they have chosen to be dismissive and unhelpful.

Lack of Accountability and Communication:
The dealership’s approach to after sale support is appalling. Since attempting to return the vehicle within the 30-day window, I have been met with total silence. They consistently ignore my emails, and I have had phone calls unanswered while I have personally witnessed staff members including the admin who is the only person sitting at their desk doing nothing and ignore calls. This level of intentional avoidance is a deliberate attempt to evade their responsibilities to the customer.

Violation of Consumer Rights:
Most concerning of all is their blatant disregard for the law. I have formally requested a return of the vehicle for a full refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which grants consumers the right to reject a vehicle that is faulty or not of satisfactory quality within the first 30 days. The dealership is actively trying to deny this legal right and refuse the refund, which is completely illegal and unethical.

Conclusion:
Purchasing a car from this dealership has been the worst automotive experience of my life. They are happy to take your money, but the moment a problem arises, they wash their hands of you. Their lack of professionalism, refusal to communicate, and failure to honour the law make them entirely untrustworthy.

I am now in the process of escalating this matter further to ensure my legal rights are upheld. Save yourself the stress, the financial loss, and the headache take your business elsewhere.

I bought a car for my wife

I bought a car for my wife, and the whole experience was excellent. The staff were very helpful from start to finish, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of our questions. They made the process smooth and stress-free, and their recommendations were really helpful. Great customer service, friendly team, and a professional approach throughout. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.

Well mannered and helpful staff, ask for paperwork.

Well mannered and helpful staff, I hadn't booked an appointment, but still looked after. Hundreds of cars available, so massive selection. No prices on cars so you have to request that, or give your price range so they can narrow down choices available. Best to have an idea of requirement before arriving. Very smooth after selection, also reregistering car(s) and road tax for you. Arranged new MOT, AA inspection and Service (however no paperwork supplied for ANY of these). When collecting the car after the weekend it would have been nice for someone to advise me how the many screens, dials and toggle switches worked, my old car had the basic layout and key start. Hopefully this may help future purchasers to have a 5/10 min start up routine. Car seems fine, however I wouldn't expect any issues after a few days driving!

I purchased from the Stevenage branch

I purchased from the Stevenage branch, and the manager was very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the process. He took the time to answer any questions I had, made everything straightforward, and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would happily recommend the Stevenage team to others.

Car purchase

I had bought a car for my son from this company and found the process very easy. I was curious and had lots of questions which were answered across the phone with a worker, Mallak, which made me confident in what i was purchasing and the overall process of how. Car arrived and son loved the quality a lot.

Purchase ease

I bought a car from this company to which usually for me is such a stressfull process, however, being on the phone with the workers, which for me was Haneen, was answering questions comfortably, which gave me confidence in trusting this company with the car. This was good because the car which i recieved was amazing quality.

Stay clear…

I am extremely disappointed with the level of aftersales service I have received.

Since purchasing my car, several faults have been identified within the first month of ownership. Rather than providing the support I expected, the dealership has been unaccommodating and has repeatedly expected me to go out of my way to resolve issues that should have been dealt with as part of their responsibility.

I have been left out of pocket on three separate occasions, having to make a four-hour round trip each time, as the dealership is over two hours away from where I live. This has meant arranging transport, getting myself home, and wasting both time and money because of problems that were present so soon after purchase.

What I found particularly disappointing was being told that the situation was somehow my fault because I cancelled my extended warranty. This is completely irrelevant. Any faults that arise within the first month of buying a vehicle are the dealership’s responsibility to investigate and rectify. An extended warranty should not be used as an excuse to avoid meeting those obligations.

Instead of taking ownership of the issues and working with me to find a reasonable solution, I have felt dismissed, inconvenienced, and made to feel responsible for problems that were not of my making.

Unfortunately, my experience with the aftersales department has completely undermined my confidence in this dealership. I would encourage anyone considering buying a vehicle from them to carefully consider the level of customer support they may receive if something goes wrong after the sale.

Another issue is the fact that I was sold a warranty I shouldn’t have been sold in the first place as no warranty will cover the cover because the first owner didn’t do his services on time and significantly late. Very dishonest.

Stay away.
