AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
I wish there was a minus star option! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Please see all the bad reviews and take it as a sign to stay well away. Just the most awful of experience the whole way through. Currently going through a complaint procedure with them it was that bad and will take to the legal ombudsman if needed. Communication was non-existent, major delays and errors their side. I’m surprised I kept my buyer after 6 months. I don’t know how they’re still in business. I wish I didn’t use them as I was recommended. But never again. The only reason the sale and purchase was on time was because I did all the chasing and sought all the right documents. I’m not actually sure what I paid them for. Staff were hardly in the office. Well done me for getting the sale done is all I can say. My mortgage broker was going to set up a partnership with them until I told him about my shocking experience and he read all the reviews. PLEASE STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF HEARTACHE. The most incompetent firm out there. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Im writing for a friend of mine after what he told me avoid Davisons family solicitors like the plague
They sabotaged his court case in order to keep charging for another year, they charged him even after he had written to cancel them then threatened him if he didnt pay up. They demanded to control the case then made sure the evidence didnt turn up and allowed him to be destroyed in court without defending him. The facts they charged him for they argued the opposite in court
Then its a pack of lies and threats to justify their sabotage
Quality Solicitors Davisons Stratford
Please, please read reviews before you commit to choosing a solicitor, we used Davisons Stratford as conveyancers for our house sale.
Simply taken aback by the sheer level of incompetence at this office. Despite being sent by recorded delivery and signed for they still managed to lose key documents. We had buyers lined up and ready to go, yet even after moving into our new house, the buyers were still unable to move in for over a month. Communication was very poor, we ended up doing much of the work ourselves, our Estate Agents liaised with our buyers on our behalf and we were able to resolve issues that way. We were lucky to keep our buyers - their solicitors were also incompetent - seems to be a theme here. The moral of the story is choose very carefully. We inherited them as they were recommended by our builder for our own house purchase - I guess they have an agreement as otherwise I doubt they'd get any recommendations otherwise. Took their fees straight out of our sale money - not sure that was above board tbh. Truly and shockingly incompetent - simply avoid even if it means a higher fee elsewhere, they're just not worth it and don't simply go with builder recommended, do your homework and choose someone competent, you'll regret it very much otherwise.
"Quality"Solicitors Davisons
"Quality"Solicitors Davisons, based in Solihull, was recommended to me by the estate agents selling the property, but did not deliver on quality, price, or any other metric. My solicitor Melissa was non-responsive to most of my requests and when she did respond, gave many reassurances and proposed timelines that she then consistently failed to meet. The icing on the cake was on a Wednesday when we neared completion and she said she'd get back to me with a date, so I rang her the next Monday and found out she was on leave for the foreseeable future. I am a solicitor myself, and have never dealt with such incompetence - I would be fired if I sent some of the rude emails that I received from my lawyer at Davisons. If you want to pay an additional £95 for accelerated completion, despite there being no speed involved whatsoever, this is the firm for you. Otherwise, I would avoid at all costs.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Gemma Lloyd (Davisons Solicitors)
Please, take my advice and steer completely clear of this solicitors.
They have caused an unbelievable amount of stress and anxiety for myself and my partner throughout the duration of our house sale, and trying to get in touch with anyone within this firm is like trying to get blood out of a stone - IMPOSSIBLE.
They have single-handedly ruined two house move dates within a whole chain due to their incompetence, and the worst part is that they couldn't care less. Absolutely no care or passion for the services that they provide to their customers.
We started our house move process back in March, and still cannot agree on a moving date with the chain as these absolute jokers find it seemingly IMPOSSIBLE to send a simple email confirming a date. It is scary that these people are responsible for the transfer of such large amounts of money - I wouldn't trust them to make a cup of tea.
Please, avoid at all costs. I promise that if you use this firm to take care of your house purchase or sale, it will be the worst decision you ever make.
Horrible
Gemma Lloyd - Quality Solicitor Davisons - STAY AWAY from this firm. If we could give less than 1 star we would. Terrible work rate, terrible service and terrible communication. They do not do the work and you have to chase them to do anything. Only time they respond is when we need to pay them monies for their charges . They have hidden fees which come out just before day of completion , so you have no choice 😡. If you want a less stressful house move, pick a local solicitors and save yourself the unnecessary stress. . BEWARE ANYBODY considering using their services.
I wish I had read the reviews below…
I wish I had read the reviews below before engaging them.
I can only echo what so many have said - an appalling service and it was only my estate agent that managed to convince me that it was coneyancing solicitor who was holding things up and being less than accurate with the true picture.
The solicitor seemed to be completely disconnected from his assistant who was also less than open about the facts. I complained to a case handler / client liaison person who turned out to be a PA after 3 months of inaction,. I then sent a formal complaint to the Head of Conveyancing but did not receive a reply to 2 emails. I then complained to Gary Davison Managing Director and founder of the company and after 5 days and 2 emails I still have not had the courtesy of even an acknlowgement. It is a shocking service. Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service.
As a first time buyer, I went with the conveyor my estate agent recommended. Started off fine, paperwork came through okay on my side. But from that point… 5 months passed and no update. Countless emails sent, countless more ignored by them. I was told on an email from my case handler that I could email at any time to get an update, either her or her team.
I was shocked when I did just that. I emailed a member of her team a simple question, to which I am told “I have no idea, X person has your file, wait for them to respond”. Great. Then every time I did get through on the phone, they seemed disinterested and like they didn’t want to be there.
This conveyancer has left me £600 out of pocket as I simply cannot wait any longer for these clowns to finish the purchase process. Do NOT use these people.
Absolutely incompetent
Absolutely incompetent. These solicitors have been a nightmare and I really do not understand how any of them still have jobs. Do not use these solicitors!!!
Quality Davidson solicitors should…
Quality Davidson solicitors should definitely drop the “quality” and replace it with “rubbish” this is exactly what they are - rubbish. After 3 different account handlers my daughters vendor is pulling out of the sale due to the complete incompetence of these people. They have no communication skills whatsoever and even when asked to call a client they completely ignore you. No chance of an email or a phone call, how these people are allowed to practice is beyond us.
An absolute nightmare
I instructed Davison's to act on my behalf and purchase a property for me in 2013. I have recently moved out of this property in Jan 21 and its been pending a sale since Jan21. We have had a buyer lined up (without a chain) since Jan 21. Low and behold we are not able to sell the property because Davisons did not do their job properly as ALL of the title deeds were not put into my name at the time of purchase, 5 years later and its still in the name of the previous owner.
Its appalling that this is only being made aware 5 years later when I'm coming to sell the property. I paid Davison's to act on my behalf however they clearly only did half a job.
This has left me running 2 houses for the past 9 months. Because of the negligence on Davison's side I have had to pay the mortgage, council tax, electricity, gas bills on the empty property for the last nine months as well as my current home. Financially it is crippling my family and we would not have purchased the new home knowing that we would have to go through this.
Approaching Davison's on this - they have been very rude and unhelpful. They have told me that they no longer act on my behalf and to stop calling and emailing them. They are avoiding my calls and completely avoiding me.
I urge you not to use this firm and also check that you actually own the property if Davison's have acted for you as you could easily find yourself in my position.
Please avoid yourself an absolute nightmare as ours is still going on and we cannot see a way out :-(
Cheaters no business ethics
Solicitors cheating their client have you ever seen. It is something like police to become thief. Builder delayed the hand over by 5 months and these people provided the wrong information saying I can’t break the contract. No compensation nothing, going to BBC to seeking for help. Also builder delivered wrong design, these people say we can’t do anything. Government should ban these solicitors. They purely act on behalf of builders because they referred them . Samantha Ingram and team, I am in process of taking matters to solicitor ombudsman to sue these people
DO NOT USE THESE IMBECILES
DO NOT USE THESE IMBECILES. You have caused me and my partner so much stress and we aren’t even using you.
You are negligent, lazy and damn right rubbish. Samantha Ingram and her team have been absolutely shocking and I feel sorry for your client.
You have been reported to the SRA and I advise any other people using or dealing with these fools to do the same. You’re the worst solicitors in the UK.
Not worth 1 star!
I wouldn’t even give the Mere Green branch 1 star! We sold a second property and Laura Hart was instructed to deal with our sale. It was a disaster from the beginning, Laura never responded to emails or phone calls, it seemed she didn’t really know what she was doing or was going on and even on completion date, she made errors on the completion certificate! You get what you pay for, lesson learnt. I will never ever use this company again. We’re now in the process of selling our main home and buying another and the solicitor we’re using now have made me realise how bad Davidson actually were! Avoid the firm.
Davisons are an absolutely atrocious…
Davisons are an absolutely atrocious company. Left me £650 out of pocket - between them and the estate agent who was equally as poor. I was in the process of buying a property through these charlatans, and kept getting told everything was on schedule, when in fact they'd been sitting on their hands for months. it resulted in the vendor getting extremely frustrated too and demanding and extra £1000 for the inconvenience to him......which I was expected to pay!!!
I'd had enough, and pulled out of the deal.......never again with this company!!!
Poor at best
I used the Birmingham office based in Edgbaston.
Everything started off okay, got intial paperwork etc sorted quickly. It was quite hard getting in touch with our appointed solicitor for an update but when we did he seemed to get on with it.
Imagine my surprise when about 12 weeks later we asked about a completion date and were told that nothing had been done on the sale yet as no one had been in touch with him. He had completely neglected to ask us or the estate agents to chase up even though he admitted that he'd expect to hear from the buyers side within two weeks of starting the process!
All in all the process took 8 months to sell a flat to a first time buyer and purchase an empty house. Messaging was I consistent and the solicitor seemed unable to remember any info about our case, eventually he tried to stop answering calls and sent us irritated emails saying that we were likely to lose the house.
All in all, extremely poor service and I regret using this firm, a car crash would have been a more enjoyable experience.
Terrible experience dealing with these…
Terrible experience dealing with these solicitors at Cotteridge for conveyancing. No information. No updates. Do not use.
I’m not sure who the negative reviewers…
I’m not sure who the negative reviewers have dealt with but I have dealt with Hayley and Al at the Wolverhampton branch and have had nothing but exemplary service! Information requests, updates, phone calls have all been dealt with speedily. All I will say if you are going to deal with Davison’s ask for Al Nijar or Hayley Tully and you will receive nothing but great service.
AVOID!
Used these as default PurpleBricks solicitor. Communication was shocking, there were so many assistants you never knew who you were talking to, and speaking to your actual solicitor was nigh on impossible.
Still haven’t had any feedback from a complaint I lodged over two months ago.
On completion day documentation want sorted and after my pressing and being a nuisance they ended up owing me money!
The Mere Green branch needs serious managing, AVOID!
