Edgbaston branch got contracts…

Edgbaston branch got contracts exchanged and completion done on my first house within 2 weeks from mortgage offer. Started off not so great as constantly had to chase but when I addressed this they were fantastic. 1 star knocked off due to having to chase in the first instance as I was paying more to have them as my solicitors but over all a pleasure.
Thanks to Mike, Zainub and Dominique

Ketan Dutt at the Edgbaston office was…

Ketan Dutt at the Edgbaston office was brilliant throughout our whole moving house process. He was always very speedy and efficient, and gave us very little to worry about. Only frustration was that there was some detail missed about our help to buy isa bonus which meant we ended up missing out on some money we thought we would have, and found out quite late. Otherwise great, worth the money for how stress free Ketan made everything. 100% recommend.

DO NOT USE!!!

DO NOT USE!!!
Had the misfortune of paying for this poor quality service. We were offered a deal for their services from Purple Bricks. They were slow to respond to emails from us and the buyers, lied about what tasks they had completed and tried to push us into a situation where they could bill us for something that was completely unnecessary.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Wolverhampton office. I have the misspleasure of dealing with this dreadful unprofessional company as my vendors solicitor. As others have posted here, do not respond to any request with any details, responses always vague and lucky if you get one at all. They will probably cause the chain to break as they are so useless at basic communication. The lack of courtesy and respect of other solicitors and people is something I am astounded by. QUALITY.... NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS

QUALITY..... If I could put a zero rating I would. Received a bill from HMRC for non payment of Land registry tax. This fee was included in our final statement. Did they pay it. Big fat NO. These guys do not have a clue!!They even took a payment twice from our final statement for Land registry and wont explain why and won't pay it back. More than 4 months down the line now and They do not answer any emails and no has been explanation or received. They are worse than dreadful. QS Birmingham @SAMANTHAN INGRAM if you are reading this...... I will be getting my money back from you. Hell or high water..... Do not use these idiot's.... EVER EVER EVER!!!

Excellent service.

Me and my partner couldn’t recommend these solicitors anymore, we was 1st time buyers purchasing a new build property in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. The communication was excellent! Any questions or issues we had was dealt with either that same day or the following day. Our solicitor Dan Preston from Edgbaston office was our main point of contact and kept us up to date every step of the way and made sure we was made aware of everything that was going on or anything left outstanding. Honestly cannot recommend enough.

QualitySolicitors( Four Oaks/Mere Green) - avoid!

QualitySolicitors - Davison's (Mere Green, Four Oaks)

Just do not use - they lack professionalism, are far too slow and inefficient and you end up doing their work for them! Communication is key in this business and it is non existent here. Frustrating to use, and the only part of the whole sale process that was negative and stressful. Constant errors, evasive noncommittal staff (no idea of the name of the chap on the phone who tried to fob me off on Completion day but please, don't patronise your clients!) So, avoid - there are plenty of others around to use.

Amazing Company

Me and my partner used this company to purchase our first home together we dealt with Samantha, Sharon and Ryan and they were the most helpful, professional people we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They took a lot of stress off us and made the process a lot earlier for us. They went above and beyond for us not only doing their roles but always keeping us informed throughout the whole process and really making us feel at ease. We will 100% use this company again and will recommend to all our family and friends. They are all an asset to the company.

Unprofessional

I had a conveyancing matter that took far longer than it should have. Poor communication throughout. Pretty obvious that staff there don't talk to one another, left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing etc.

Stay away from them - you really don't want the stress.

NOT RECOMMENDED! Bad communication and they treat you like a ticket number rather than a person

Absolutely no Quality, they should take the Quality off their company name.

I was initially appointed Mike Anson however he had to go on paternity leave (was not told until I called up for an update) so had to deals with a trainee solicitor named Elishia Wright.

Apart from having to call to get informed constantly, my main issue is:

I was told by Mike Anson not to close my Help to Buy ISA account until I was given the go ahead to do so, I was then told on the 23rd of November 2020 via email to go ahead close my account which I did, bear in my Completion date given was 27th of November 2020.

I sent a copy of the details of my closed Help to Buy ISA account to Elishia’s email on the 28th November 2020 bear in mind I was not told by her to do so , I got told to do this by the Sales Consultant that was selling my the property.

Elishia responded to my email stating that I cannot claim my bonus because “unfortunately as completion has already taken place, we are unable to claim your bonus”.

I only followed what little instructions I was given, at no point was I told that I needed to close my ISA account before completion and if that’s the case why tell me to close it if I won’t make it in time for my completion.

VERY ANNOYED to say the least!!!

Worst solicitors

3 years later and i'm still angry when i think about it. I had to pay £1k extra comparing to what the quote was but at that point i just wanted it all to be over with. Wouldn't reply to my emails for months, have paid my duty stamp before the new law(??) about no duty stamp for first buyers, the whole thing took a bit longer than 5 months. Rude and unhelpful when that was exactly what i wasn't looking for when i was on my own buying my first own place.

If I could put 0 stars then I would

If I could put 0 stars then I would. Recommended Quality Solicitors to a property Investor I work with and will never do it again. Cash purchase with no chain and after 6 months we’re still not completed. Only on completion date did they realise they were missing a document from the seller’s solicitor. A completion date should have never been confirmed when documents were still outstanding. They failed to inform us the person dealing with our sale had left and no one had been in touch. Incredibly frustrating and far too slow. I would suggest avoiding at all costs.

Far to slow in today’s world

My daughter sold a house, buyers used this firm
They were nothing other than a problem
The sale nearly collapsed.
I’m in the process of selling and buying another property.
We accepted an offer in June 2020, 4 months later we’re still not done
Just when you think you’re ready to exchange they (QS) come back with another list of questions
I have never know a business to take so long and operate in such a manor
I can only guess they look at the file once every 4 weeks ask some questions
I respond the same day and they then take another 4 weeks to look again
The sale is about to collapse
Who ever is in charged @ QS Eastleigh Hants
SORT IT OUT you are about to upset many people

Horrible communication - Definitely not recommended

When reading other reviews website, most of the reviews were positive. I thought Trustpilot was not reflecting the truth.

Actually it did. The communication with QualitySolicitors Lockings was really poor. We were never able to contact them by phone, and they were answering their emails only between 1630 and 1700.

Good luck if you decide to go with them. In our case, we will not make the same mistake twice, we will go with a local solicitor next time.

AVOID QS Davison Weoley Castle Branch

I was recommended QS Davison Weoley Castle branch by my estate agent and I would say they are very poor and incompetent. It has been the worst experience! It has taken them over 6months and still I'm yet to complete due to poor or total lack of communication. Tracy Wood sat on the documents with no contact. Emailing to wrong addresses and not checking up on phone if we have received the documents or not. Delayed the process at the beginning by 4 weeks and a further 4 weeks towards the end after realising the searches hadn't been kicked off! Overall experience was very bad and I would avoid QS Davison! Other reviews on Trustpilot and Facebook are more accurate for QS Davison (at least for Weoley Castle branch). Please avoid!

The worst of the worst

The worst of the worst, I can openly and honestly say I am not one for ever taking time and effort to write bad reviews but I feel compelled to ensure that no other human has to go through the horrific ordeal I have with these solicitors. Avoid at all costs!
Sold my property over 9 months ago (no chain on either side) and still yet to complete due to poor or total lack of communication.
I have complained numerous times and written 7 page letters with a detailed time line of events to be shrugged off with not even a apology.

DO NOT USE

Shockingly incompetent, avoid at all costs

Where to even start with this firm, recently completed the purchase of my first property and they where absolute hell to deal with!

Never updated me on any progression of my purchase, i was having to CONSTANTLY chase this up myself and sometimes I wouldn’t receive replies for days, the only time they would be on the ball contacting me is when they wanted money from me.

They would never answer the phone or call you back etc which made the entire purchase of the property extremely stressful given the trust and money I gave them..

Upon “completing” and paying my final charges to this company, out the blue my “solicitor” comes back to me and slaps me with another £240 charge demanding I pay it as it was needed for the land registry certificate, I asked how this was possible as my business with them had already finished and I had paid my final statement, they couldn’t give me an answer.. they just kept telling me it was fairly basic stuff, if it’s that basic how did they forget to inform me of it in the first place!

You wouldn’t buy a car from a dealership and then 2 months later they come on to you demanding money for the wheels!

I paid this as they were refusing to help me get the land registry certificate sorted out otherwise, and then made them put it in writing that this was the end of my business with them and there would be no more payments.

There was no transparency, no communication, no trust able to be built up what so ever I would honestly avoid this company like the plague.

Please please please do yourself a favour and pay a bit more to go with a half decent company, because these guys WILL bring you to breaking point and none of them have a clue what they are doing! Lesson learnt

Do not use.

If I could give 0 stars I would it was that bad.

The service I have received was very poor. This was my first time buying a property and the experience was so stressful.

No one updated me I had to keep chasing. My documents was lost twice. Charges was added to me without being explained. I had a phone call the day before I was getting my keys and was advised there’s and extra £35 to be paid.

Not happy at all.
