Awful company

Awful company. Travelled from Cardiff and sold me a death trap. My mechanic back home told me i was lucky to get home after the OSF lower control arm all but snapped less than 20 miles from garage in Huddersfield. Mo was on holiday so dealt with Zac. Zac did actually help with a seized caliper but didn't seem to know much after being left to deal with the BS. Car has now cost me an extra £1000 to fix and make good with a long list of issues that were "done" on the mot fail sheet. Ye they weren't done. Totally got screwed over and now unable to make contact with the garage. Currently seeking legal advice after speaking to CAB. Avoid this dodgy garage at all costs.

Absolutely appalled by the experience…

Absolutely appalled by the experience I’ve had with this car sales garage. They took a £100 deposit from my son after giving me completely incorrect information about the policy of tbe deposit. When I raised the issue and asked for my deposit back, they flatly refused — despite the fact that the mistake was entirely on their side.
To make matters worse, I then received a foul-mouthed and aggressive message from them. Completely unacceptable behaviour from any business, let alone one that expects customers to trust them with large purchases. The attitude was rude, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional.
Customer service is clearly not a priority here. Based on my experience and reading other similar reviews, I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before using this garage. There are plenty of honest and professional dealers out there — unfortunately, this is not one of them.
Avoid.

Avoid if your value your money and sanity!!!!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had in my whole entire life, avoid and save yourself money and sanity. These people are scammers and nothing other than that, I part exchanged my mk8 gti that had a gearbox issue which he was well aware of before and during the sale I decided to drop the value of the car due to this, he sold me an 140i that was supposed to be a “clean” car however it was definitely not that, in the first week of ownership the ABS and traction light came on I took it to the mechanic straight away and I was told the car looks like it had been in a previous accident and all the wiring was twisted and not in the right place, I paid to have this fixed by a specialist, as soon as I had this repaired 3-4 days later the engine started juddering and idling rough again I took it straight to the mechanic and they’ve told me piston 6 is failing, it has a boost leak and the high pressure fuel pump is failing,I am stuck with no car and unable to get my grandma to her doctors and hospital appointments, I have contacted the “owner” of this dreadful excuse of a dealership and told him I will be returning the car under the consumers right act 2015 as it is not fit for purpose and the reply I got was “sold as seen, see you in court” to top it off I have received speeding fines in my name of the car I part exchanged.

Stay well clear if you value your money

Bought a red vauxhaul insignia. Taxed it, insured it, filled it with fuel. 20 mins later gear box broke. Phoned the company, they said get it back to the garage and we will reimburse you the cost and get it fixed free of charge. Phoned a week later asking for progress report. Was told they hadn't looked at it yet as the garage is busy. Phoned again a week later and they said its being worked on and should be ready soon. I asked for the number and email for the garage and they said we don't have their phone number.I asked how they communicate with the garage. So I asked for the name of the garage which they gave me. I rang the garage and he said they hadn't even looked at it yet. The car had been there two weeks. Quarmby car sales rang me the following weekend after I had tried ringing them 43 times and also emailed them. I said I wanted a full refund for the car and also the towing charge. After 6 weeks and being asked not to leave a negative review we recieved a partial refund. His parting words were it's a second hand car, you expect things to go wrong with them.

Horrible place

Horrible place, AVOID. Constant problems with the car I bought 3 months ago, can't feel safe in it. Had to take legal action after being ignored when asking for the fixes we were entitled to. Do not buy a car from here.

Car broke down twice in 3 weeks

Car broke down twice in 3 weeks. They were supposed to have fixed the fault but they didn't. Instead we had to pay just to get it going. Tried to reach an agreement with garage but they ignored us. Now having to look into legal action. Do not go near this garage.

Avoid. I had to get a CCJ on these guys

I bought a car from these people and within a few weeks it was undriveable due to a gearbox problem and consumer rights say l'm entitled to a refund. My calls, voicemails and even recorded-post letters went unanswered for months. I eventually made a claim with Gov.uk's Money Claims Service, I had never done this before. Eventually a CCJ was judged in my favour. Still no response from the dealer so a bailiff had to be appointed. I now have to wait to see when the claim will be settled, all the while the car is parked on the road incurring costs for tax and insurance. I would say buying a car from this seller is an utter gamble, you might be fine or you might not.

Dodgy MOTs, even dodgier cars.

Bought my first car from this garage, found multiple hidden compartments stashed full of drugs, was told that the stop/start button was factory even tho it is after market to hide a huge problem with the ignition. Washer pump never worked from day dot even though this is necessary to be able to pass a mot, leading you to believe their MOTs are dodgy like a lot of the other reviews suggest. They will sell you promises about how wonderful the car is and how they ‘would never sell anything dangerous or faulty’ and then sell you a car where the difference between it breaking down or not relies on an aftermarket button as the ignition is completely broken. The car has fault after fault which were all carefully hidden by this garage.

My experience in purchasing a Mercedes E Class was first class throughout.
Adam especially was 100% honest and extremely helpful throughout.
The whole process was 100% painless and I would highly recommend this dealership to anybody, plus will definitely buy again in the future.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Cannot even begin the describe the anger and stress this garage has put my family through. The audi a1 sold to me seemed in good condition after a further inspection I have a few concerns he sent it to his own garage and said nothing was wrong I then took it to my own garage who immediately assessed and advised it was deemed unsafe with immediate affect. This garage knew I had children and still let me drive away after a BOTCHED MOT if this MOT was done correctly it would of failed. Imagine driving your three very young children around in a vehicle that essentially could of killed us!! Although they can offer repair first when taken to two seprate garages they would not even quote as it is not safe the third said we're looking at over two thousand so then was offered a refund. This took four weeks and lies and lies promises of it coming. Messed me around until I sought legal advice. Thr garage compensated me 200 pound but still did not cover the full cost of the car and not one slight remouese of what hassle this has caused or danger. Auto trader has since had 11 5 star reviews on the same day which are fake knowing full well I will be coming down on them once I received my money. I have reported everything to the right authorities to protect others lives and before someone is killed.

Dodgy car dealer

Dodgy car dealer. Bought my first car from him, said that he wouldn’t take any money off the car because he was putting it through mot and anything that needed doing he would have it done, and he would give us a month warranty. Then only wrote it on a piece of paper and ignored all my messages about wanting an actual document. Engine management light came on within a week. Looked it up and he had it done at quarry garage and failed on previous and passed on this mot without any change to the car. Ignored all messages about the engine management light. Wouldn’t recommend, horrible service, regret going there 100%

Dodgy Dealer

Went to see an IX35 on 11th August. Enquired beforehand and confirmed it was still available so advised would be there within the hour. Got there and was out of the car no more than 30 seconds before turning around. Car had obviously had a large smash to it's front and whoever had done an absolutely appalling respray. The bonnet looked like it had cleaning cream applied, no mention of accidents in advert or on phone. Waste of time and fuel money, guy tried to act surprised but even a novice like me could tell

Bad experience, Highly not recommended

It was a very bad experience, highly not recommended !
Not honest regarding the car, very bad communication, zero after sale service.

I bought my car around 2 months ago. I was told it's very good, and don't worry if anything would happen, just give us a call and they seemed to be very professional, helpful, and friendly. Its MOT was a few days prior to getting it, which seemed to be OK. but the last service was around 1 year before, and the reason for that they said it was not moving for a few months.

1st day with the car, I found the central lock is not working, along with my external mirror. I need to press the car key several times to get it open, and most of the time, I need to open the car from a side door, and I need to adjust the mirror manually.
I spoke to them and they said it's out of warranty but check with a local electrician, and we will see what we can offer.

Then, I had a full service of the car at Halford's, which showed worn front and rear brake pads and discs which need fixing ASAP!!! and they were confused about how the car had passed the MOT without any mention of that!!
The estimated cost of these was around 590 pounds!!

I then sent all the service reports, along with the electricity issue of the doors and mirror, which estimatedly would cost around 300 pounds!!
So in total the car needs urgent fixations with around 900 pounds.

I got no reply for that for more than 10 days!!

Finally, I got a message from the insurance company to send the V5C logbook and gave me a deadline. The agency had told me I would have received it by the end of June, which never happened, I contacted the DVLA, and they claimed my data was either wrong or the form was not sent.
I called the agency again, told me to call the next day, I called the next day, told me they will call back in 10 minutes, I waited for 2 hours and got no call, and then I called back, no one replied, I sent a sms and whatsapp message, no reply again.
So, I had to send a V62 form and pay 25 pounds to get a replacement of V5C, as that was my deadline day.

By the end of the day, after all of that was done, they sent me a message with only " we tried to call you" !!! with no single reply to the V5C issue or all the maintenance issues that had been sent around 2 weeks before.

This is my worst experience, I am not comfortable with using the car with all these issues, I am not feeling safe taking my family with all brake issues, and nothing was told to me before having the car, and the cost of repair is too much for me, and along with all of that, It's totally disrespectful to ignore my calls, my messages, telling me we will call you several times and ignore it.

So, I just highly advise not to deal with them again.

Thanks.

Do not trust this garage

I got a car last year which cost me £7500 and had multiple instant problems with it. I tried returning the car under the 14 day return policy by law. I got violently attacked on the phone by the owner. In the end instead of going to court I accepted their help to fix it. All they did was say nothing was wrong and used a full tank of petrol in my car. They also lied to me about the amount of owners. It wasn’t 3 it was 6! Also lied about servicing it, the air filter was filthy and my guess is it never has been changed.

Since then I have spent around £600 fixing the clutch, and a big petrol leak that was leaking onto the engine and surrounding parts. Amongst other problems which happened 6 months after so I can’t blame the garage for knowing about these issues. Also the water cooler was swollen which they said they would replace but never did (It’s only £15) The garage knew about these issues.

All this garage does is get cars from the auction and sells them straight away without checking anything or fixing anything. You’re best just going to the auctions yourself and saving £3000. Or just go to a proper garage and not this joke of a business.
