The two staff from Customer Care Centre were so very helpful and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble and they were a delight to speak to. They certainly were efficient and dealt with my withdrawal exceptionally quickly.

Terrible customer service service continually for many years now. Will be leaving the site as soon as possible

The company is very professional with outlining your plan. The website is very easy to navigate with the information displayed in clear formatting. I have been extremely satisfied with my advisor, who is always reachable with any advice required. The performance of the company in investing my money has produced an excellent yield, especially with current volatility.

My financial advisor Matt is brilliant. He explains all of the different investment options to me and always answers my questions clearly. He could not be more helpful.

Had an online problem that couldn't be resolved immediately. Rather than prevent the action taking place, the representative manually took me through the required application, and it was a pleasure dealing with him. He was professional but so personable.

My IP Wealth advisor Chris Kelsey has brought all my pensions into one retirement investment. Through Quilter and FINLI investors, Cris continues to support me annually. I receive updates on my investment options and reviews on my concerns or investment opportunities regularly via email and I can call him should I wish to make changes. I am a long way off where I would like to be but with the help of Chris and Quilter, I have a clear understanding of what I need to do to achieve my comfortable retirement.

Generally fine, but I missed a Direct Debit and tried to pay afterwards, but it was like ridiculously complicated, so gave up in the end. But other than that they are absolutely fine.

I have no issues with Quilter's professionalism or trustworthiness, but I do think they are overpriced for what you get.
I paid nearly £600 in financial advice fees just to get my investments set up. For the amount I was investing, that felt like poor value, especially when platforms like Dodl offer ready-to-invest portfolios with no advice fee at all.
The ongoing costs told a similar story. Quilter's total annual charges came to around 1.11% (platform fee, managed portfolio charge, and fund costs combined), compared to roughly 0.46% on Dodl. That might not sound like much, but compounded over years, those fees eat significantly into your returns. On a £10,000 portfolio, that's the difference between paying £111 and £46 per year — and it only grows as your pot does.
I understand Quilter offers actively managed portfolios, and I expected that to come at a premium. But my Dodl account, which uses cheaper passive funds, actually outperformed Quilter's actively managed portfolio over the same period. So I was paying more for worse results.
If you're new to investing and want someone to handle things for you, there are far cheaper options out there that offer simple, low-cost portfolios without the hefty advice fees. I'd encourage anyone to compare the total cost of ownership before committing.
