The spa access is really made the whole trip feel special. Treatments were done so well and you could tell the team actually care about what they’re doing, not rushed at all.

Ex-Wellness Spa member - currently Avoid!

After reading some of these reviews I felt the need to put my story in. Initially Joined the wellness/Rose spa club which was a fairly big extravagance - (think around £1k mark per year - paid upfront by me PLUS mandatory £75 a month payment - which was okay as you can use this within the whole estate for food, drink, treatments etc). Initially when I joined last year in Summer it was great.. Then.. complacency and greed set in. The Girls are fab - I'm not knocking them - but there was always a jacuzzi down, dirty or something not working, moss and cobwebs everywhere, broken floor tiles. Multiple issues with the App - booking - the actual occupancy always being wrong etc. Just little niggles which i did report..
Then - In November I turned up and got told the opening hours of the Spa had changed to from 9-8 to 9-5.. (I work full time so useless - weekends are generally heaving - with spa days, hen dos etc) without warning, no email, no offer for compensation or reimbursement or flexibility on future opening times. I had a very rude overall response of 'if you don't like it cancel' .. Which I did. I must admit I got refunded fairly promptly.. But overall gutted as when it was running well it was amazing. I have been informed now that the opening times are even less 9-2.. pointless to have membership unless retired or not working - why on earth didnt they shift to 12-8?? I would of kept membership. I'm also shocked that no one senior in management/ownership seems to be concerned considering this is marketed as a premium luxury venue.

Disappointment after Disappointment

We had been members of Quob Park for about 3 years until the appalling customer service became too much.

What started as a friendly, unique and luxurious experience for a reasonable price unfortunately became nothing but a source of frustration as the owners became more and more greedy and offered less and less.

It's hard to imagine how a seemingly successful businessman could lavish incredible amounts of money crafting beautiful, state of the art facilities only to ruin this by ignoring basic business and customer service principles.

The first year was great when Quob was just the estate, however things went down hill once the hotel and spa opened in 2023 and the membership fee increased. Here is a list of some of the issues:

- Closed the estate (vineyard with bar and restaurant previously open 7 days a week) with no notice, no communication and no compensation.

- The spa frequently had issues such as dirty jacuzzis, saunas switched off, fish tank so dirty it was inhumane, jacuzzis too cold etc

- Turned up to spa and other venues within opening hours and with bookings made on the app only to arrive and find the venues closed with nothing communicated

- Wines were originally good value (another key selling point of the membership as it never felt snobby) but they suddenly increased hugely leaving almost no wines available under £30. When I requested a bottle for under £30 as I had always previously been able to buy wine for much less than this I was brought a bottle and then promptly charged £36 for it anyway. A small amount, but highlights their change in attitude and inability to listen to customers.

- Exercise classes were a key part of my membership and these were fantastic at first. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances of the fitness instructor these were withdrawn, however I received no communication to say that these had stopped from Quob. No replacement classes were offered and this lasted around 4 months with no communication or compensation offered.

- Eventually after chasing multiple times I was offered a complementary month for my reduced membership offering that I had been paying for over the last 4 months. This turned out to just be credit on my account to spend with Quob and I was not allowed to withdraw this as cash.

- Tried to book onto the spa one evening as normal only to find that the spa opening hours had been completely changed shutting at 5pm daily instead of 8pm daily meaning I could now only use the spa at the weekend. Once again, no communication, explanation or compensation offered.

- Despite all of these issues and reduced offering in the membership Quob were trying to increase the monthly membership fee, even though at the point of joining it was stated to be fixed until 2025.

Perhaps the worst thing of all however, is that every time we raised any of these concerns with the management we were met with apathy, and usually a response along the lines of 'Well if you don't like it you can cancel then'.

These are just a few examples of how an otherwise great venue with some lovely staff has been heavily tarnished by some quite frankly bizarre, anti-consumer business practice.

Dreadful way to run a company

As others have said, something is clearly going on with this company. No communication from them but I had my DD cancelled with on explanation at the beginning of December. Thankfully I hadnt placed an order yet but I see others have and then had them cancelled at the last minute; appalling.

I got no response to emails or phone calls so in an effort to have my £250 returned I have now submitted a Money Claim Online. Costs £35 but that is added to their bill and should be repaid if the courts find in my favour. I would urge anybody else in a similar position to to the same.

I cant believe the complete lack of communication or explanation. Comments left on their instagram account are simply deleted.

Dreadful Customer Treatment

Lack of communication and order cancellation just before Christmas!! I would not trust this company or the people running it or any of their other companies with my business again. Clearly loyalty is no longer important! Thank you Mr Rob Terry!

Avoid this company!

As other customers have reported, I too have had a Christmas order cancelled & been told that I no longer have a credit balance of £226!! I have been a customer of Farmers Choice for over 20 years & continued with them when they were taken over by Quob Park Free Range in 2023 and have been paying my direct debit to them ever since. I was completely taken by surprise when I found out about the cancellation & loss of my money!!
It is impossible to get hold of anyone on the phone & the replies that I have received to several emails have not really addressed the issues that I have raised or answered my questions properly!!
It is all very frustrating & something doesn’t seem quite right about it all! To treat long standing customers in this way is just appalling!!
I will not be dealing with them any further & would not recommend that anyone become a customer.

Poor customer service and communication

The company has cancelled the credit balance held claiming this is due to insolvency from a previous company we were transferred from 18 months previously. Communications have been through generic emails without any issues raised being responded to. I cannot recommend this company.

Cancelled subscription and refusing refund

Like many others recently Quob Park have cancelled an order just before Christmas advising that the money held in the account was not an accurate reflection of the balance actually held… They argue this is due to a takeover from a previous company. They refuse to refund the amount in the account without any reasonable justification, just a statement that it is due to conditions agreed upon.

I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Absolute conman.

Absolute conman.
I'm not sure on what legal grounds the following action has been taken and if the whining email from chairman Rob Terry holds any water. I know he has previous dodgy dealings and has been investigated by the serious fraud squad (I wish I had known before).
It would seem that Quob farm took on the business but not the debts of Farmers Choice, something that was not made clear at the transition.
We tried to place and order this week and had over £300 pounds on account, having last ordered in October and our direct debit being paid to Quob Farm.
As many have, we where using the direct debit payment to Quob Farm as a savings route to spread the cost of Christmas catering. Despite being able to put items in the basket we could not arrange a deliver date.
The following day our balance had dropped to £80, our direct debit cancelled and the email which got sent to junk arrived. We are still unable to use the remaining monies as there are no delivery dates available - the diary runs to March 2025 but no space on any.
This apparently is justified as we are deemed uneconomic customers. Apparently there will be offers to incentive people sticking with them and setting up a new direct debit. I can't imaging anyone placing trust in an organisation who has wiped out/stolen more that £200 on our account.

We have had a shock today

We have had a shock today. We went on to the Quob Park free range website to order food. We looked at our statement of account and there was £275 ish in it but in red, it said something like “account suspended” or similar. My wife left messages on the answer phone and then phoned the wider business number to find out why. The lady who answered couldn’t tell her much but my wife got the feeling that information was being withheld. The lady asked for our details. After the call we looked on my account again and the statement had disappeared and it said my balance was zero!
We are now feeling distressed. We have been with this company since it was Farmer’s Choice. We have remained loyal and transferred our balance several times when ownership has changed. Being part of Quob Park we thought the business was thriving! We would like to know what is happening? We have received no e mails or communication from anyone, so this is why it has come as a shock.

More orders denied and customers insulted

As reported by other customers, Quob are denying customer orders at its free-range business. Quob have provided no meaningful information, only a long-winded moan in an email from Robert Terry about a predecessor company from whom Quob received assets. Public record suggests Robert Terry of Quob has shares in active companies with assets of £11million. But Quob is now denying many customers access to their accounts. Apparently we customers are not profitable or desirable to the business.

If I could give them No stars I would

If I could give them No stars I would. Suddenly received email saying subscription cancelled. Can't get in touch with anyone, they aren't replying to the numerous voicemails left. We are pensioners and have saved with them for our Christmas order which has now been cancelled with no refunds, nearly £160.

Have a Christmas food order cancelled…

Have a Christmas food order cancelled due to farmers free range not being solvent but my direct debit has been being paid to quob park, apparently they don’t have to honour the order or a refund? Have used this company for 20 years, although I know they been taken over a couple of times. Disappointed as right before Christmas which is not on. Had quite a blunt response from Robert Terry. It’s not my fault that they put money into a company that didn’t pay their bills, but you would think it was! I’m owed over £158.00 from this company, the direct debit is to Quob park NOT to farmers free range!

Lovely Venue. Terrible Customer services

Lovely Venue, lovely staff with really good own label sparkling wines. Nice food.

This should be win, win, win.
But is sadly let down by their customer services. Lovely, helpful, polite when on the phone, but don't actually do anything, unless you are spending money.

Emails are ignored / unanswered. My membership is now cancelled...

The Christmas Order I had put in was cancelled

The Christmas Order I had put in was cancelled without informing me.
When I spoke to a woman who say she was dealing with the accounts the problems stemmed from when they took over Farmers Free Range Company.
Apparently, they did not appear to have the money that had been paid previously to Farmers Free Range,
When I asked how to get in touch with the previous company I was told to find old paper work. They were either totally ignorant or uncaring about the fact that they had gone into administration.

Definitely not recommend new owners

I initially signed up to Qoub Park free range because I was impressed by their ethos and thought it would fit in with my lifestyle. We set up a direct debit for £50 per month.
Unfortunately the first three deliveries have got consistently worse.
1 damaged bananas they did refund cost.
2 we only received part of our order and part of some one else’s. They refunded what wasn’t delivered but the veg was needed to be able to cook the meat to freeze down meals.
3 vegetables not edible and order arrived at 4 when it was due between 8 and 12. Again no veg therefore unable to use the meat for the meals planned especially as it was delivered so late.
I’ve since tried to cancel my contract, but it seems some harshly worded t&cs have prevented me from any kind of further refund even the £378 they’re holding for me. They say it has to be spent with them.
Definitely would not recommend.

Disappointed by change of venue

They cancelled my reservation at the hotel. No instructions on how to get into the venue at Quob Park
The menu was completely different to the one advetised at the hotel. No set lunch menu. Wine £16 a glass, food was good but very expensive e.g small cone of chips £7. Compulsory Service Charge of 12.5% was added when bill presented. Not told beforehand.

Absolutely the worst experience with… any "Members Club" that I have had the misfortune to have joined

Absolutely the worst experience with these scurrilous people. Joined what was at first glance a very pleasant place for afternoon refreshment with like minded people, who then proceeded to change the whole set up without notice to make a hoity toity affair where you have to book in advance to taste their wine, not just able to visit anytime as a member.
Turned up several times to try and use my membership but was turned away with no reason before I managed to clarify what was going on over email.
Asked for subscription money to stop being taken after I learned of the changes but they kept taking it
Will not reimburse "subscription monies" held in my account stating that I have already received the benefits from paying my subscriptiion - cheap?!?! wines.. (even though I never found one there nice enough to invest in so) chauffer service (never used)....
Please do not get duped by these people as I did.
