Same thing just happened to me

Same thing just happened to me. I have been on Quora and contributed daily for the past 6 months and just got banned out of the blue with no warning. This reminds me of a bad HOA who are poorly run by power-hungry moderator wannabees who find a false sense of value trolling and banning people out of extreme envy and jealousy. The successful business people on Quora who are loyal contributors are the backbone of their forum and yet the moderators fail to recognize and appreciate the value of their loyal members. Banning people impulsively without proper consideration is a wreckless and offensive behavior. They will continue to lose productive members who were the ultimate reason why their forum was successful.

Fakes and scammers galore !

Without a doubt the worst excuse for a so called social media site that exists . . 90% of the site is fake profiles and scammers who use stolen photo's from facebook and instagram members . . But Quora don't care as to them it's revenue . . There are very few genuine females on the the site . . And 100's of men get scammed . . The site should be shut down ASAP!

Banned out of the blue

Banned out of the blue. No warning, no previous contact, nothing. I have been creating content for you for 10 years and constantly get mails from you about questions that people want me to answer on Quora and programs you want me to join, which implies that my answers have been appreciated.

When I appealed I got some gibberish message with a one line motivation: "Coordinated inauthentic activity, such as vote manipulation and/or being linked to suspicious activity." I have not been involved with anything of the kind.

If there is an issue why don't someone send me an e-mail and point out the problem so we can deal with it like adults? It is not like I have just created an account and started to output spam. All of my answers have been human written, on topic and coming from a point of expertice. I have written them in the same way from the beginning so what has changed.

The management of Quora has been extremely unproffessional and it is obvious that this website soon will become obsolete.

The evilishness of the automated moderation can be unpredictable

I used this site for 10 years with one only account. I have contributed to this site a lot over all those years: reporting trolls, spammers, asking meaningful questions, creating encouraging interesting Spaces… I spent hundreds of sleepless nights contributing to Quora completely for free. Out of a sudden (since yesterday) I get an email informing me I got banned with no earlier notifications or emails eventually warning me I might have been doing something wrong cause I obviously wasn’t. I wasn’t even using this site for weeks before this happened. Did I possibly have any links that Quora bot mistakenly took as spam? Well maybe the same links to my Starmaker profile (self promotion??) or YouTube music videos only. Quora knows my pattern, I often relate everything to music and this time I wanted to let the 3k of my Quora followers know that I can also sing. They really remained there untouched by any bot for months, no complaints so far. I really don’t understand what kind of evilishness needed to falsely report me for spam just to get all my content removed. It was obviously a human motivation to make the stupid bot do it’s thing. And it happened just yesterday. But Quora chooses to hide all the evidence in form of edit and activity history, or the 2.5k questions I answered on my profile to blur all the proof that I did nothing wrong. I will not only put the bad review here, but will also pray to God and all the higher forces to return all the evil that was done to me to their original senders and pray to mantras that they kill the enemy who did this to me. And I don’t care if it’s a bot or a human. I don’t know if the people supporting America in wars all over the world who also hate to see Trump win might have done this to me or maybe the same people from Starmaker who purposely made it harder for me to get a status of a verified singer when even the most terrible singers get it there. This happened on behalf of Quora and I will not be tolerating this. Just now I check after about 24 hours they uncovered the edits history where all the answers I wrote I removed too. I’m sure a bot would never take me as a spammer. It was clearly a human representing the rude arrogant personality who did this, possibly a narcissist. Cause almost everything on Quora goes against narcissism and narcissists.

Retroactive Ban After Years of Inactivity? No Thanks. Please read the message I sent to Quora support — I think it speaks for itself:

Please read the letter below which I think is self-explanatory

Hi Luke. (Quora Support),

Let me clarify to ensure I’ve understood correctly.

A few years ago—perhaps over two—I posted a couple of educational or lifestyle-related answers on your platform, including links to my website. I honestly don’t remember the exact content, as it’s been a long time and I haven’t accessed the account since.

Now, after leaving those posts live on your site for two years, you’ve decided they violate your policies and have banned my account? If those posts were truly problematic, I would have expected action much earlier—not after such a lengthy delay.

That said, I appreciate your decision to ban me. It’s clear we have different expectations, and I’m fine parting ways with a platform that retroactively penalizes long-forgotten content.

Kind regards,
Paolo Parodi

A platform that acts years after the fact without prior notice isn’t one I can trust. If you’re thinking of building a presence on Quora, be aware that your content could suddenly be labelled as spam long after it’s been live — and your account banned with no chance to appeal.

This is a sorry site

This is a sorry site. They refuse to take down porn, and allow only a one sided leftist viewpoint. Many people on the site have complained about the same issues. I had a post deleted for hate speech... it was a one word response, it was the word "No". There are too many incidents to mention but I have deleted my account.

This website is the worst I've ever experienced. People full of hate and resentment. Anytime they don't agree with you it's followed up with insults. To be on that site you would have to be the type of person who looks down on everyone. It was insanity.

Also google is using doctors jobs. I remember internet was just the internet. not a brain melting device. And device for delusional.

Horrible Biased site

I experienced extreme bullying on the site and even death threats. I reported it but Quora never responded to my complaints, never removed the threatening comments, but if I responded, my comments were IMMEDIATELY removed by moderation. They are extremely MAGA biased.

doesn't close comments. But is no better or worse than google. google i disagree with too for posting too many things. google is an engine for entertainment and peoples interests. but instead has turned into a entity. quora is not as bad as google. But it doesn't remove posts or close topics. and repetitively repeats comments. same ignorant comments. but quora is best avoided or used for entertainment. just as google.

I have lost £100 to a Chinese company that is still allowed to advertise on Quora's space and this is even after I have written to Quora complaining they should not allow such companies to use their space for ads.
