I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the handling of my insurance policy and the ongoing issues I have experienced with your service.
Last year, I moved address and contacted your company to update my details. On that occasion, I waited over 20 minutes on the phone without being answered, and when my call was finally picked up, it was disconnected. As it was during my lunch break, I was unable to continue waiting and therefore submitted a complaint instead.
Following this, I was contacted by , MDI, Operations Manager, who assisted me in updating my address. I have proof of this, and I also received updated documents at my new address confirming the change.
However, on a later call to your customer service team, I was told that my address on file had not been updated. The representatives I spoke with were rude and unhelpful, but I proceeded with the call regardless.
Today, my insurance policy has expired. I initially attempted to renew my policy over the phone with S; however, he was rude, impatient, and difficult to understand as he was speaking very quickly. Due to this, I did not feel comfortable continuing the call and chose instead to proceed with the renewal online.
However, despite completing the renewal, I have still not received any policy documents. When I requested my certificate of insurance, I was sent an incorrect document showing my old address. To be clear, my address was officially updated with P on 29 May 2025. This indicates that my details were not properly updated in your system, and I am still dealing with the consequences of this error.
At the time of writing, I am currently on hold again for over 15 minutes waiting to speak to someone, with no response. This ongoing lack of organisation, poor communication, and unacceptable customer service is extremely frustrating.
I require the following to be resolved immediately:
1. Confirmation that my correct address is updated in your system.
2. Issuance of the correct insurance certificate with my current address.
3. Immediate sending of all valid policy documents following my renewal.
4. A clear explanation as to how this error occurred despite prior confirmation of my address update.
This situation is unacceptable and must be resolved as a matter of urgency, as I am currently at risk of driving without valid documentation through no fault of my own.
I expect a prompt response and resolution.

I have been now waiting 4 weeks for a refund. They promised the sun moon and stars, but nothing. 4 times I called them, I had a minimum of 25 minutes on hold. Desperate service. Speaking with CS and their children are screaming and crying in the background.

Bearing in mind that I am an un-tecky customer, I don't possess a computer/ lap top or tablet and that my phone dates from 2017 I always have to call and do my dealing by phone and occasionally, as a result, in writing.
Fortunately, no matter who I deal with at Quote Devil, (in this case Sophie Ennis) they all appear to be good listeners and give me time to explain myself and my issue.
Simple as that, patient listening.

Having used other insurance brokers, I was appalled with the lack of ease of communication. Sadly, most only used a chat portal and no telephone communication for simple queries. This requirement is vital!!

Paul O’Reilly dealt with me today which was a very positive experience. Before this I was very dissatisfied with the service experienced with the first agent. He failed to get back to me on both occasions and made the process more tedious than necessary.
