r-m.de This is my third EMTB I have owned and my first Riese Muller Homage rolloff E14 speed hub twin 625w batteries, covering 1600 miles since March mainly off road, just completed Southdown Way. Absolutely no mechanical issues or punctures tubules set up. I normally have one pannier two for long journeys weight 4.5kg each, bike always stable. My supplier has been most helpful before and after purchasing. It continues to give me great enjoyment exploring the Countryside also regular exersise coming up 70 fantastic.

For my work as a pianotuner I wanted to stop driving car and only go to clients on my bike.
I live in the center of The Netherlands with lots of wooded areas and polders. There are many smooth bicycle paths through nature but also some that have a hard sand or shell covered surface with the occasionally bumps. Most paths I take are away from roads with car traffic. Beautiful trips I have.
My old ordinary bikes could not cope the 11 kg of tools. Due to bums in the road spokes broke and I twice broke my luggage carrier on my (non-R&M) E-bike.
Then I tried a R&M Nevo, which was great. Very, very stable and with the GT Vario / Bosch CX support up to 25 km/h wind or hills were much less a problem than with the former 'ordinary' E-bike. I love the fine tuning with the Eviolo gear.
But... easily driving with the NEVO at 25 km/h my fragile back felt uncomfortable, even though I had a quality saddle shock absorbing pin.
So... I switched to full suspension with the HOMAGE GT Vario with the CX Bosch. The HOMAGE drives as stable as the NEVO but feels lighter in handling, smoother and more subtle. Together with a saddle shock absorbing pin bumps in the road feel like sitting on a soft cushion. The weight of my tools are now suspended, so bumps don't give shocks anymore.
And... the HOMAGE drives so smooth that, when not pressed by time, I often switch off the E-support, and only use E-support when I have to speed up from standstill, or having wind or a hill.
The 625 Wh is enough for me. I drive for work and recreationally about 250 km each week. When using support all the way I do 100 km with one charge. When I occasionally switch of the support I do 130 km or more. When driving to clients I drive in turbo. Otherwise I do none/eco/tour.
I am 67 years young and want to keep working until I drop. The R&M Homage is helping me to do that by contributing to my health. And I do my part for the environment by not using my car for work.
It is a huge difference between being locked up in a tin box driving around sniffing up exhaust fumes or enjoying a full view of the sky and surroundings, including smells of pine and flowers.
And... Trips by bike are often 2/3 or 3/4 of the distance by car.
An Homage to Riese & Müller!
I highly recommend... to find the bike that fits your needs.

After one month no delivery of a spare part… though riese&muller says the part is available. Nobody seems willing to post it.

Excellent customer service, confirming the brand's high reputation in that regard. Have only tested the bike itself (the Load 60 Rohloff) so far, but it felt like nothing else on the road, in the best way possible!

I bought a R&M Load 60 from one of Riese & Müller's distributors in Toronto (Curbside Cycle) and received it in October 2021. I have to say I have been very impressed with this bike so far. The craftsmanship, the versatility of the design is just really impressive. It's almost the end of January 2022 now in Montreal and it's the coldest it's been all winter. With the snow, the slush and the cold (going all the way down to -30C for multiple days) this bike has performed. The company obviously designs these bikes with this versatility and durability in mind. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

I bought a Supercharger GT Rolhof with the upgraded 1350kWhr batteries. Every aspect of this bike oozes exceptional quality; and that's reflected in the price.
For a heavy bike (32kg) it handles surprisingly well. In eco-mode expect to get 180miles range.
I've only had the bike a week so I'll update this review in a few months time/
Updated 04 February 2022
I've had the bike almost 3 months and as promised here's an update.
The bike's hardware is faultless and is of impeccable quality. However the software; i.e. The Bosch Nyon control unit, that effectively runs the bike, is a shoddy piece of kit that's neither user friendly nor privacy orientated.
The Bosch Nyon is configured by the retailer and cannot be modified by the buyer; who may wish to perform DIY maintenance. For example, the service interval on mine was set to 300 miles and cannot be adjusted by me. Consequently, I get a persistent and annoying warning each time the Nyon boots.
The Bosch Nyon was loaded by the retailer with UK Maps. However I cannot access the maps without first logging into the Bosch website. I object strongly to giving any personal data to Bosch and then have them track my whereabouts via their privacy invasive software.
For the reasons outlined above, I'm downgrading the bikes rating from 5 to 3 stars.

Sought advice from R & M Customer Service team by email regarding how to remove rear wheel on 2021 Cruiser Mixte Urban. There is no specific information about this in the literature supplied with the bike even though routine rear wheel removal in the event of a puncture is more or less standard maintenance info.
In fact the info supplied with the bike is scanty and non-specific to the bike so therefore mostly useless. R & M simply referred me to one or two non-specific videos none of which were relevant, or, failing that, discuss with local R & M dealer - there isn't one ! In fact the local non-R & M bike shops don't seem to want much to do with R & M at all !! Why do R & M not supply an Owners Handbook specific to the bike covering routine maintenance such as rear wheel removal - punctures do occur !! Belt drive, hub gears, hydraulic rim brakes etc., while being excellent mechanically, deserve specific and detailed service info., particularly if there is no R & M dealer locally.

I have previously posted on Trust Pilot about the problems experienced with the rear shock absorber on my R&M Homage. I have been trying to get the matter resolved for well over a year, but R&M either just do not engage, or simply ignore what I have said.
I have to agree with so many of the others (that have written reports) that R&M just do not care about post sales support.
Because of the failure of my rear shock, and my numerous emails of complaint, R&M finally agreed to provide me with a new X-Fusion rear shock free of charge (not such a big deal when the bike was still under warranty!!)
The problem was the new one they supplied wouldn't fit my older (2019 model) because the bushes (bearings) were of the wrong shape and size. They must have known this when they sent it!!
When I pointed this out they simply replied that I could knock out the bushes on the old shock and install in the new. I told them where they could go with this suggestion, so they then said they would send a set of the right bearings to my bike shop so they could fit. That was well over two weeks ago and the bike shop has received nothing from them. I have no faith I will get the problem resolved in the near future or at all.
It's a real shame that R&M have such a tardy approach to "after sales care". My view of my Homage was initially brilliant, but such view has been totally spoilt and tarnished by the failure of the shock, which left me unable to ride the bike for many months. I feel completely let down.
Would I recommend buying any R&M product?
Absolutely not!!

I have a Reise & Muller Tinker Vario ebike and the 380SE rear hub has failed. Contact Reise and Muller sale agents to buy a new hub. Was informed that Reise & Muller are keeping all the hubs for theirselfs to built new bikes. It is little wonder there is so many bad reviews on here.
Reply to R&M. You are the manufacturer and you refused to sell spares for your product to your own agents. What you are saying is you do not support your product once sold.

Good bicycles, but after-sales service is poor given the hefty price tag. Why can't I order spare parts directly with them? I don't want to cross half the country to get spare parts at a so-called local dealer. I wouldn't recommend a brand that is so hostile to users that are able to take care of their own bikes.
In week 25 on 19 June 2020 we ordered a Nevo3 GT Vario HS (625Wh+500Wh rack battery) from our dealer in Denmark: Ebikecenter.dk. We were informed on the same day that R&M expects delivery in week 32.
On 27 June 2020, we are informed by contacting the dealer, that delivery from R&M on this Nevo3 has been postponed to week 38 (first delay). Next message from R&M 14 days later is that delivery has been postponed to week 42 (second delay). Later we are informed that delivery has been postponed again to week 43 (third delay). Latest we are informaed that delivery has been postponed to week 45 (fourth delay). Thats 5 months deliverytime!
We would expect explanations from R&M for the many delays, but at R&M website they only push out a new date again and again. Our dealer in Denmark does not receive an explanation from R&M either?
It is not OK to treat us as good customers in this way,. Earlier in 2020 we bought a similar expensive bicycle (Supercharger2 HS) from Riese & Müller.
Please: optimize your Customer Service providing explanations for delays - and optimize your delivery time! Why is there no response from Riese & Müllers Customer Service to the many negative reviews on Trustpilot?
I am very happy with my Load 60, i have had good luck with my Bosch motor. I was worried at first hearing of all the problems associated with the Cx motor, I only have 440 miles on it so far and no problem with the motor which is know to have bearing failure, and is a motor which I hear only lasts 2,000 miles. My main complaint is the brakes, which only last 400 miles. The bike dealer told me that they are entry level brakes and should never have been put on a bike that is considered a cargo bike. They are 2 piston brakes that constantly squeal and are nerve racking going down hill. R&M should have put 4 piston calipers on this cargo bike, not entry level 2 piston brakes you find on a lightweight e-bike. Finding parts is a joke. My Electric bike shop stopped carrying R&M because of the hassle of ordering parts from Europe and when I did find someone who sells the part, its super expensive. like $170 for a bike rack + $100 for shipping to the USA. I will never buy a bike from R&M seeing that they cut corners by putting entry level brakes on a cargo bike. overall, I am happy with the bike, just wish I could up grade to stronger brakes, which R&M told my bike shop it does not recommend due to warrantee reasons.
Zero customer service from a brand that likes to be called a premium bike company. You don't exist for them!
Zero support. All your questions and complains are ignored! You have a problem ... "deal it with your dealer, we only take your money"...
Delays on the delivering dates of your bikes. Even if you are the most lucky person on the planet.
Avoid at all cost, all the reviews here are 100% accurate!! I feel bad that I didn't trust them! NEVER AGAIN!!
All they can do properly is selling. Don't expect more.
June 2018 : I buy a Cruiser Nuvinci HS for 4000 Euros.
2 days after : already lost parts while riding : rear view mirror and pedals, no warranty works for these parts. So I ordered the mirror. 8 months later, I'm still waiting for the mirror.
1st February : luggage rack breaks, for no reason. I'm still waiting for the parts too.
Since I bought it, the bike is stucked at the dealer shop, waiting for the parts from Riese and Muller to be delivered.
In 9 months, the bike spent more than 20% of its time at the dealer shop for repairing bad quality parts.
I wrote to the CEO to explain, they don't even answered : they don't care about customers.
I highly recommend Moustache or Kalkhoff !
We’ve had our Reise and Muller Roadster Mixte over a week now and it seems a fine machine. My wife is happy with it which is the important thing. What has not been so good, in fact has been bloody awful, was the process of acquiring the bike from Reise and Muller via the UK dealers 50Cycles. It was ordered on 15th December 2017 with a delivery date of 19th March 2018, already a very long delivery time for a standard catalogue item. However, that came and went without a word from 50Cycles (that was to become a pattern of this sale). When I chased them I was given a new delivery date, in fact I’ve been given many - 7th April, 24th April, 27th April , 14th May, all missed without any up front apology. It eventually turns up on 2nd June, the latest delay caused by the fact it arrived at the dealers with the wrong mudguards, something that they had the good sense to proactively address before delivering it to me.
Six months to get a bike delivered is outrageous. My mistake was paying up front for it to secure a small discount. Obviously once they had my money they didn’t care. I will not make that mistake again.
In the many, many conversations I’ve had with 50Cycles/R&M, I’ve struggled to get across what to me at least, are very fundamental points –
Don’t fail on a commitment made to a customer - but if unfortunately you are forced to, then proactively call them with an explanation and an apology – its called managing expectations.
The customer should never be put in the position of wasting hours chasing a supplier. For some reason 50Cycles/R&M did not seem to realise that my time had value to me and I didn’t want to waste it talking to them.
That being lied to is distressing. Even more so when this bike was actually meant as a present for my wife’s birthday in March and I was being put in the position of repeatedly disappointing her. Not a recipe for good relations.
So in summary, Reise and Muller – dreadful company, with some deep rooted customer management issues to resolve.
