Bought a racechip S for my Pajero Sport 2.4D last December 03,2020.Delivered to my place in Philippines (Southeast Asia) after 6 days which early than I expected due to pandemic. It was well packed, complete manuals, and even sent me the picture (same w/ my unit) if where to connect. It's so easy to install without encountering any errors or CEL. I started on setting 3 (default), observed no rough idle, then test drive.. I felt immediately the improvement in acceleration. Next tried setting 4 ...Wow!! the acceleration was more strong and smooth. I could not believed it how it behave in acceleration without any hesitation or delay ha,ha,ha...Then I switched On also my existing throttle controller (other brand)..It's become more fun to drive.Very satisfied even with S variant as I wanted only to improve more the acceleration of my SUV. The Racechip customer service is great based on my experienced with them. It's already more than a month of use.. and luckily no CEL or problems encountered so far...Very good chip for the price!!

I was very sceptical about a 'tuning box' for £109 ( 'S' version, cheapest one for my car at time of this review) but I am pleasantly surprised , my vehicle is a jaguar x type 2.2 diesel with 190k on the clock and with this fitted is now much faster ,smoother and much more enjoyable to drive, it came packaged well and was easy to install, very happy to transform the performance for such little money.

Recently bought the RaceChip Rs with app control. Installing was super easy, probably took around 5 minutes. I let the car idle for a few minutes to make sure nothing was wrong, then took it out for a quick drive to see if I noticed a difference. I cycled through Eco, sport, and race. There was a noticeable difference between the 3 and a difference between the "stock tune" and race tune. Of course I was just doing an old fashioned butt dyno but the car felt like it had more on tap then it used to. For the RS with the Bluetooth connection it was 379usd (they were running a Christmas sale). All in all so far I am super pleased with it and have no complaints. Customer service was great and shipping was fairly quick seeing as how I'm in Alaska and it was shipped from Germany.

I purchased this chip in the black Friday offer, like most I had my doubts about the company and product due to it all seeming a little to easy to get such power gains. If I was to take my car to a dyno for a tune it was going to take it from 185bhp to 217bhp which I was really excited about doing. However, when I saw that the chip was going to offer a gain from 185bhp to 240bhp I had to investigate. Due to the chip being on offer making more sense for me to spend the money and the company offering a 30 day return period I decided to give it a go. The product arrived in 4 days which was great as I live in UK and it was shipped from Germany. The product install was done in 10-15 mins due to the personal install package they send you via email. So far been driving with it for a few days and it was worth every penny, the car can now bearly put its power down in second without spinning its absolutely fantastic. As a student, it really was a risk spending so much money but going fast is my passion so I don't have any regrets when it comes to the chip. Hope this helps someone in the same position as I was about a tuning box.

UPDATE - Used product for 4 years with no issues and been happy with the product since day 1, 4 years later i have bought a new car and i messaged racechip to get the chip reprogrammed only to find out they only support this for up to 24 months after purchase. Although this was mentioned in the T&C's it was not made clear at the time of purchase and has left me disappointed. Even if they offered a service where you can pay to get the chip changed at a reduced price to buying another as a show that they care about long term customers would be nice.

Ordered GTS Black for my SL 400. Arrived in 48 hours. 10 minute install. Car is now much more responsive and significantly faster accelerating. Also have 3mpg better consumption after first week of use. Highly recommended.

Well, I wasn't sure about chip tuning… like… I really wasn’t sure. I had just bought my dream car – one that wasn’t killing the environment, but also had a bit of poke and gets me up and down the mountain that I live up in Austria – even in snow and ice. (It’s a UK registered Jaguar XF 20 AWD with 180 ps and 430 nm). So, its a proper nice car, but not that pokey (acceleration) as I had been driving a Skoda VRS before, and that goes as fast as Donald J Trump after a cheeseburger, so, naturally after a while I began to think I really should have got the Jaguar 25 AWD with 241ps). It was then that I understood that essentially the two cars are identical (suspension, brakes, interior, etc.) with the exception that the ‘more powerful’ and much more expensive 25 AWD is just faster because of the twin turbo, so. Suddenly, I worked out, I might be able to get 25 AWD performance for a few hundred Euros, rather than several thousand it would get to buy the 25 AWD which are about 20% more expensive on the second hand market.
So, I asked a mate of mine who drives ridiculous German cars: S6, AMG Jeep type thing – utterly bonkers. He doesn’t talk much normally (he just likes his cars), and his reaction was weird. For the first time in a lifetime he just wouldn’t shut up about how ‘effing brilliant chip tuning was. Well, that avalanche of praise from an otherwise ‘quiet man’ convinced me and the next day, I took the plunge and ordered the smallest chip (the S) to test it out and see what it might do. It arrived a couple of days later. The wife was curious (she always gets to the post first) and I told her it was a thing to save fuel. She was totally suspicious “Why doesn’t everyone have one then?” she asked.
“Round here?” I countered looking up and down the valley. We live surrounded by mountain farmers who drive tractors by day and big Audis by night. “I expect most already do… Its only 169 Euros” I said. “I’ll order one for you tomorrow, just give me the cash.” I could see her weighing up how much cat food she could buy for that much money, and to be honest, it wasn’t even a mildly fair contest. Within seconds she was back to annimal videos on her phone. Job done.
With that now taken care of, it was time to get it installed. Well, I’m an academic by trade, so more of a philospohy type, than a spanner and wrench one; not really very ‘hands on’, but also not stupid. Anyway, it took me about 10 minutes to get it all wired up, they give you a whole bunch of instructions (with pictures), that make IKEA building look difficult, so its really a nice piece of customer service. With this done, I then took the Jag out for a test drive, and the difference was noticeable. I had been missing that little kick in the small of the back when accelerating (yes, sad but true, I have been missing the little VRS – who would believe it?), and now, it seemed like the Jag had suddenly gone from a nice looker, to a ‘nearly’ exciting performer. I drove up and down the mountain once on the winding serpentine roads; night time, all to myself, and sure enough, found myself grinning like a school boy. There you go compatriots, that is what you need. That is the real test, whether it makes you smile or not, and it did… but, not quite enough. I realised I needed the bigger chip, the GTS. (Naturally, there is a whole marketing strategy behind the chip tuning industry, and I am now in the thick of it).
Well, there you go, that’s my story. In my opinion, the thing to look out for (especially in a diesel like my Jag XF and it’ll be the same in a 5 series or an A6, or an E class) is how much the torque increases - not so much the Horse Power.: although to be fair, they say the ps has gone from 180 to 214 PS, so that's not bad either What you are looking at is a signficant power gain further down the rev spectrum, say mid- 2k for nm: as well as a noticiable one than over 5k for bp. So, this means when your mates down the pub (Kneipe for my German friends; Wirtshaus where I live), ask you (as they will) 'Wieviel PS alter?", and with the GTS chip (the big brother) you have to talk about the stonking, beautiful, galvansing 540 nm you have (and possibly leave out the 230 ps). Thing is, you don't get to honestly say “380 ps alter”, which is what the big V6 3.0 Diesel Jaguar has with EXACTLY THE SAME amount of Newtons as the GTS chip would give my modest cat!!!
At the moment my RaceChip ‘S’ tuned Jag has 503 NM with a chip that cost me 160 Euros, and if I do eventually decide to get the GTS chip, and drive around with 540 Newtownians, I may not have the nervy-edgy racy feel of 380 horses, but I will have the firm, powerful push with more NM than the brand new ‘BMW 540’, with only 500 nm. I will have 5 more nm than the legendary 2020 Porsche Carrera 4S, for considerably less, and that is probably ‘it’ in a nutshell. "More for less".

Installed a Racechip S on my Hyundai Creta 1.6 CRDI, taking the stock bhp from 128 to 153 and torque from 265 to 318 nm .
The installation was a 10 minute job. Kept the setting on 3 ( factory )Took the car for a test- drive and the first impression was that the engine ran smoother and the knocking between 1500 to 1800 rpm just disappeared!
Throttle response now is phenomenal and acceleration is in a different league.
My impression is that the chip and car sync after a day or so and then settle in

Just got one myself. GTS black..Seems no difference from stock. Will test drive it for a few weeks. I was expecting engine to sound different and feel that torque coming out of the supercharged engine.....maybe it's for saving gas and having power...but so far it takes 3-4 days to receive a follow up email. Not bad...will right back when I have to return.

Bought the rs with app for my Seat leon fr 184. Been running it for a couple of months and couldn't be happier. It's totally brought the car to life, gear changes are better and engines smoother and!!! I'm getting better mpg aswell!!! Shout out to Car Throttle and the videos you done with them because after watching that I felt confident in your product. The goods arrived well packaged and early. The racechip box itself and harness is a tidy unit, was easy to install, and app setup done in a minute. Great job and I would recommend your product.

Good experience, I wasn't happy with the power increase on my vehicle and returned the chip. Although I was sceptical about the negative reviews I received a full refund within 3 days. Thank you.

Ordered my GTS chip & XLR and received them extremely fast from Germany to Washington state.

For my 2019 Camaro LT, install was simple and straightforward, as was removal and reinstalltion (removed to have yearly maintenance)

Initial thoughts were "is that all?" But after about a week of driving it around, I woke up one morning FLOORED by how smooth the changes were and how fast my car was. Most of the gains are felt around 4th gear and with the XLR set to R, it quite literally threw me back in my seat.

I am currently experiencing some very subtle jerk n' thrust on take off occasionally and a little roughness on idle. And given that I am not a "pedal to the metal" driver, I'm wondering if it has to do with the chip.

My only other complaint is I tried to purchase bluetooth capability for my XLR but didn't get it and wasn't able to get customer service to fix it. Other than that, the delivery and install was smooth, performance is INCREDIBLE and I hope it continues to provide the gains without any side effects.

I can't speak to other models, but I definitely recommend for the Camaro. Buy it.

Bought the RS model for my 2015 VW Passat with the 1.8 TSI engine(CPRA). Installed it easily and felt a huge improvement in torque and power without any codes coming on. About a year later i also bought the XLR throttle control which really adds some fun to a “family” car. Just swapped out the RS to the GTS and my 0-60 times are easily in the 6 second range. I bet i could give GTIs a run for the money. Racechip is worth every penny for a DIY guy like myself and has transformed an otherwise unassuming car into something much more sporty. Add a Magnaflow cat back to compliment the higher revs you get from the Racechip.

Bought one read plenty of reviews and videos on YouTube and then the wife came in and shut down this dream very quickly they replied same day and issued a refund amazing service don't read all the reviews try for yourself and they have a 30 day back return like any other place. I have had a good experience with RaceChip, although they were a little slow to respond but they solved the problem ultimately. I have a RaceChip GTS for my Audi A3 and I can definitely see a drastic difference in the mid-range performance. It's definitely more punchy and responsive, I am not sure if its 30% more I can no longer feel like driving with the RaceChip turned on.

I purchased a Racechip GTS with app for my 2020 BMW M2 competition. The installation was simple and the performance gains were noticeable. I was happy with the results however after a few months I got a malfunction drivetrain on my dash and an engine light. I turned off the Racechip and the car ran fine without any fault codes. It would happen every-time I would drive the car more than an hour. It would start to run rough and then it would display a drivetrain malfunction fault code and the car would go into limp mode. I would pull over turn off the Racechip on the app and turn the car off. I would restart car and everything was back to normal. I tried several more time with the same disappointing results. I contacted customer service by email and went back and forth with no solution. They stated that I needed to explain the problem that was occurring which I laughed and said I just did explain. Then they said that they can’t help. I am not surprised from Racechip’s reply. There are so many bad reviews about Racechip. I should have listened. But I gave them a chance but boy was I wrong. Horrible customer service. People beware of Racechip they are selling inferior product that will cause problems to your car. They do not stand behind their product. These piggy back chips are riddled with problems you best bet is to load a tune to your ECU for example: Carbahn. I have learned my lesson by trusting Racechip and their shady business practices and useless customer service.Racechip product # 7432005015179
I’m going to try to explain this again. I start the car drive for about an hour, within that hour everything runs fine. After that hour , while I was driving at the speed of 55 mph, it started to run rough and then a fault code and limp mode. ( I was not accelerating just normal speed) I pull over and turn the Racechip off and turn the ignition off too. I start the car again with the Racechip off and the car is running normal with no codes showing. Another situation, after driving a hour or more, I was coming home. I pulled up to my driveway of my house. I put the car into reverse the car started to run rough and then it stalled. ( no fault codes this time) I Tried to start car but it didn’t start. I turn off the Racechip and the car off. I waited a few minutes and then started the car with Racechip off. It started and ran fine. It always run fine until I drive more than an hour so isn’t that strange to you. It occurs at normal driving. It occurs after driving awhile. Now Racechip has completely ignored my emails and they will not provide a solution. This is what they do and they are getting away with it. Once again do not waste your money on Racechip instead invest in a ECU tune. I have used many ECU tunes and I never had problems like the ones that I have experienced with Racechip. Do not purchase. They give you the run around until you give up. Look at the respond below.

Update as of November 2020:
Racechip provided me with a replacement Racechip unit. It was finally established the unit was defective. I installed the new unit and have not had any problems. I have to say what a difference in power and the car runs smoother with the Racechip. I noticed this when I had the unit uninstalled and waiting for the new Racechip to arrive. In addition the gas mileage is way better with the Racechip too. I do want to thank all the individuals at Racechip customer service for all their help. Thanks, you have made me a believer again.

Put rc on kia stinger Gt2 and bought from carid and also got the app version worked for few hrs and now check engine light stays on when it’s hooked up and shift hard and all jerky. Asked for refund and keep getting the run around. This company along with carid needs to give me my money back or a new one

RaceChip have finally provided my engine warranty following a number of email exchanges which I thank them for. The initial issue started with being provided inaccurate fitting instructions as I needed a visit to a Jaguar technician to install correctly so I didn’t damage the brand new engine. I provided several photos of the 2020 engine layout to avoid any future customers with correct installation issues. I feel their customer service could have been handled better, given the delays weren’t on me & sticking firmly with a 14 day warranty time limit. However they’re now ‘doing the right thing’. I feel more confident in using the RaceChip product, there are great gains to be had both outright performance & economy.

I ordered a GTS Black for my BMW 530d F11 which turned out to be a great disappointment. The engine light came on after installing, I turned it off, it came on again, then I received some updates, it came on again and finally my car displayed the power train error, and went into limp mode. Fortunately the dealership managed to fix it, for 180 €. Racechip insisted that I should try one more update ,, which I did, and it turned out to be equally bad - engine light came on again. I asked them to refund me for the cost of repair under the so called 2 year engine warranty, and to refund me for the actual chip since it obviously doesn't work. They refused, even though it hasn't even been one year since the purchase.

Wow i was about to order one for my x2 28i gets after i read the review. Im might looking for something else.
