I had been using rakuten card for few years now. They suspended use of my card last year because they have a new policy that i had to resubmitt my zairyu card. However they gave me no way of submitting it. I have tried calling them many many times only to have them tell me they will send me a link. which i had tried in the past but it didnt allow me to do anything. I asked them if they could stay on the line while i followed the link and they could talk me through it . they said it was not possible. I dont understand what use their customer service is. They offered zero support. They only just kept repeating them selves over again. it was very frustrating. I dont think they should have customer support if they don't supp0rt the customer. Also there should be a warning that if you get there card is there is zero support should you run into a problem like this .

i don't want to give a rate star because of your service your internet service is very bad i can't look even in telegram video.そして毎月の料金もなんであんなに使わないのに３０００円以上かかっています。

Rakuten credit card is the easiest to get, but probably the worst available card on the market!
Customer service is so bad.
In Tokyo, a city of nearly 20 million people, there is not even one place you can go to, if you have problems with your card.
I called their customer line and as expected, was told that no one can help me and I need to manage myself on the internet. All of this in a 15 minute conversation that was very polite (too polite) with achieves NOTHING…!!!
Terrible service.
And I guess they do not care, otherwise they would have done something to change their terrible review score, even before I submitted mine, which will go even further down…
A company that focus just on making money with zero customer service!!!!
You should be ashamed.

I would like to share a suggestion regarding the Rakuten Card. After using the card, the available balance takes a long time to update. It would be more convenient and reassuring if the balance was renewed immediately after a transaction. This would help users better manage their finances in real time. Thank you for your consider

I have complained many times over the last three years about one of their users having registered my email address as their contact.

I have pointed out that this is a serious privacy issue as I have been seeing the details of the legitimate card holder's card usage over the past three, four years.

That is the sort of details I have been receiving every time the owner of the card made a purchase. In fact, I have a good knowledge of this stranger's spending habits.

As i said, I have contacted Rakuten MANY times yet they have just ignored my concerns completely.

This is how lax they are when it comes to data protection.

You should ask youself, can I really trust this incompetent organisation to handle my finance?

Terrible costumer service specially for foreigners…no free dial hotline for english support… costumer support time is the same of your working time, so how can you call if after 5 they are already closed…they suddenly suspend my credit without any advance notice or information…and when i call what happen they just inform me that i was not able to submit my residence card…upon my application i submitted my residence card before they approved it….and it still have 3 years validity of my residence before i need to renew….so why they keep on asking my residence card?and they make it a reason to suspend my card without notice…ive been using there credit card for more than 5 years…i dont have any issues of delay payment…even once it never happen…

Borderline fraudulent company
We were scammed on a taxi run overseas, something that you can cancel with any respected credit card company in seconds. After calling Rakuten for them to cancel that purchase, they asked for the contact information and receipt of the scammer... really?
And since we cant provide that as no scammer will ever give a valid receipt or contact information for a scam, they did not cancel that purchase.

Stay away from this company if you can because they will let you down when you actually need them

Really bad costumer service. Very rude and unhelpful. I’m Japanese and spoke in Japanese to a girl named Seki. It doesn’t matter what nationality, they’re just rude. Worst experience I’ve had in a long while.

Declined card transaction with Newegg, no available English support

They say their customer support is available in English but it’s not true. The English person that speaks can’t understand anything and it’s impossible to understand what they say. And they don’t offer English support for everything

Fraudulent company ways.
After Rakuten bank suddenly denied all transactions on my bank account with 5000$ on, coincidentally after i quit my job at the company. They even denied the payment of my credit card. I got a notifications telling me to pay it within the next week, 2 days later they close the card.
The interesting part is the bank numbers that they suggested to transfer the money to didn't work (Rakuten Bank Account), I then got a third bank account for a different bank (Mitsuho Bank) and now i was able to pay my bill.
All this happens shortly after leaving the company, a company that forces you to create Rakuten Credit Card and Rakuten Bank Account
