Randstad application process
The application process couldn't have been easier and was explained well. The response from application to tests to telephone to face to face interview was smooth and prompt. There was some lovely touches by the interviewer Jake Yianni, I appreciated his manner and how he engaged with me on the telephone interview it made me more relaxed and comfortable. Not only that, he made the effort to wish me luck via email on the day of my interview which made it feel like a more personal process and like I mattered rather than just one person in a sea of thousands of applicants. Couldn't recommend it more!

Specialist Mentor
I worked for Randstad as a Specialist Mentor for seven years. I always found them to be efficient, supportive, and understanding of the work. Their administrative, pay, and software systems work well and everyone on the phone seems well trained and helpful.
I always felt like they were there for me even though I was working remotely. The shift to more AI isn't what I like to see but it feels pretty seamlessly integrated and I guess it's the way things are going.
I wish more employers were like this!

Still no P45
The recruitment team were fine , a few minor hiccups over the 5 years I was with Randstad.
Unfortunately my opinion has changed in the last 5 months since leaving Randstad as I'm paying emergency tax, still waiting for P45, despite numerous requests it's getting ridiculous... Please please try and sort it out ...
I've had a tax rebate for last year's tax April to April..still not received P45 and paying emergency tax

TA apprenticeship…
I have appied for a TA apprenticeship on the 22nd of May and in just 3 weeks I was able to get an interview and get accepted for the Teacher Assistant apprenticeship role. I am very grateful to Skye Woodward that took her time to explain to me more about the role and answered any questions I had. I can't wait to start working with Randstad soon.

Part of their "This Contract for Services" documents is the clause:
2.2 During an Assignment you will be engaged on a contract for services by the Company on these Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, you are not an employee of the Company although the Company is required to make the Deductions from your pay. These Terms shall not give rise to a contract of employment between you and the Company, or you and the Client.
---
Which means there is no employee status, so legal status of being an employee is removed. Even if they pay wages. Or to put another way your not an employee.
Which also could means Randstad UK have no remit to collect Employee NI, Student Loan and other deductions are you are not an employee of their company
Worth reviewing the contract to review this clause and contacting HMRC.
