I contacted Rated People as I required a small plumbing job (water leak on a radiator) VIO and PLUMBING Team replied very quickly and were able to repair with 2 day.
Nice guy and terrific job he did to! Would use him and pass on his details to anyone should they need any work to be carried out!

Job completed as required. Arrived on time, brought own tools and equipment, was a clean efficient worker. Very pleased with result. Put everything back in place and cleaned up afterwards.

Wanted someone to clear a front driveway and rear garden in Basildon. Arranged with a guy called Michael (Irish) to meet at the property to give me a quote.
He suggested the time, but did not show up, nor did he or his colleague (James) bother to contact me to let me know.
If you are in the Basildon area, be sure to avoid anyone with those names - completely unreliable.

I had a bad experience with an electrician from rated people and as a result I left a review on their site to protect others. I received numerous calls and messages from the electrician in which he called me a liar. The following day he told me that he had them remove my review! I will have to pay to have the job done again so I definitely won't be using rated people to find any contractors in the future

Mike the so called builder from steadfast structures of newport turned up to change steps into a ramp at the front of the house as I have muscular dystrophy and need disability access, my Wife and I are disgusted with the finished job which He took two attempts to get it into the total mess that He has made and didn't even complete the work that We agreed for the price. The finished work is disgraceful and He even charged My Wife £100 above the agreed price.Steadfast structures should be avoided at all costs as their workmanship is disgraceful.AVOID THIS COMPANY.There are photos available.Since then We've had a proper builder look at the job and has quoted £2700 to rectify their disgusting work.All steadfast structures work has to be removed and proper preparation work done to do the job properly.Steadfast structures of Newport yesterday (7/07/2026) texted to say they would refund £375.....surprise surprise no money refunded.

I have experianced a horrid job quote in requiring a particular company I don’t know in question if this is the correct company two guys showed up at my door which shocked me as I was on my own guy called Ashley job to replace a plastic cistern quoted me £400 inclusive of taking the toilet pan away told him I did not have the money at the moment informed me he would take me me to the post office to collect the money this company preyed on me as a vulnerable person this company are based in Romford 07303 OO6918 this company need to be addressed with their work activities and trying to take money from me in question with their quote which is outrageous toilet pan away£60 sanitisation rules in health snd safety grounds this company should be struck of your job lists company’s on your site absolute shocking trying to extract money from people active plumbing the company in question

I have been trying to get in contact with this company for 3 days. Not even an email back from them. No matter what phone number you can find online for them the line is closed down with no option to contact them. You can't even contact them online. The chat bot does nothing to help and won't even allow you to type questions. Keeps giving pre made questions that constantly return you to the start of the process. I have only had 1 phone call from them and that was to take card details and 120 pounds off me. Can't even cancel policy online. There isn't anywhere online to even claim money back for lack of services. I have never experienced a company that solely relies on a chat bot for services. The chat bot is absolutely useless. I have wasted over 7 hours over 3 days trying to contact them and have managed to log things on their system with the bot but still nothing at all. Feel like I have been totally scammed as I can't even use the system on the app. Have reinstalled multiple times as bot keeps telling me. I will be going to the ombudsman over this. In 23 years of business I have only done that once. This company is a disgrace. I upmostly suggest nobody uses this company never mind giving them your bank details. They told me I was getting a month free then a month paid however took payment on day 1 of free month.

I’ve always managed to get a tradesman in to do the work required. Only one negative is Rated people close your job after maximum 3 quotes!

Tom from Drayton Property services did three 'small jobs for me. Two he did were ok, but the third, moving a floating shelf from one position to another was a disaster. It looked ok when he completed the job, so I paid him. After he left I placed some stationary items on the shelf and it collapsed. It was a botched job. I phoned him and he said he would come back the next day and fix it. Since then, despite many attempts to contact him by phone and a text message, I have never heard from him. He has disappeared but kept the money.

China (Manjit) communicated with me when he was on his way. He turned up on time and was honest about the job that needed doing. Told me exactly what needed to be done. Was very polite, friendly and was very professional and helpful and I would definitely use him again.

the company was J.Ireland plumbing, all i can say was the guy was down to earth very honest & reasonable wth pricing & giving me an oppertunity to reveiw the work at every stage & document (through photo's)also the clea up attitude was second to none i have experienced in the past left the job with verh minimal cleaning for myself to do which he was upfront about before the job commenced so overall i would rate J.Ireland plumbing with a 5 star review.

Usman called and offered to do the job same day and quoted a price. He was delayed and arrived later than he first thought but kept me updated and I knew he was on his way at all times. When he arrived he was fully equipped to undertake the repair, knew how to do It and did it promptly. On completion he checked thoroughly and charged as quoted.

100% of people using businesses like this, do so because they think there is some transparency and a better chance of getting a good tradesperson to do the work. We all understand they have not been individually vetted by you.

I hired a trade and the work was shocking. I have had to engage another contractor to fix the terrible mess. Rated people did engage with me, but the solutions offered feel more like avoidance than resolution.

So I paid £250 for a botched job, will have to pay a similar amount to rectify the damage done, and gained nothing by using Rated People.

They are rubbish never do they look at workman on Thier site . If they are cowboys they let them on site. I lost £1k last December did rated people give a dam no they didn't. Never will I use them again the work took place 9th December the builder was Shane's home improvement he no longer has bank account. Bank closed his account how Rated people still have him on site I will never work out.

Rated People is my go to app when looking for tradesmen for different jobs. Used it many times now and it always gets me the results I am looking for. Reading previous reviews gives me confidence I am making a good choice
