This is the second time that I’ve scheduled service and the service technician canceled on me when they were on their way to my house. I’ve taken 2 days off for them to come and now will have to take a 3rd day off. 1st day they called and said “you’re going to need a part so I’m not going to come out until the part is ordered. Lisa Patton helped us initially and was wonderful; however I paid for my couch on Sunday and two days later received a call that the couch is no longer manufactured. When I went in to the showroom to verify and look at different options, the store manager, James Mercer, was sitting up front so I asked for his help. He was immediately confrontational and downright rude. I was planning on purchasing other pieces of furniture and a mattress; however he really has turned me away from raymour and flanigan all together. Our new mattress and box spring were just delivered. This was a great experience from beginning to end. Our salesperson Cheryl was wonderful. She helped us to choose a good mattress, helped us get a good price and was very friendly. The delivery process was great too. We received several communications regarding time of delivery and tracking of the truck. The mattress was delivered right to the bedroom and old mattresses taken away.

I am writing to report an extremely disappointing customer service experience with the Raymour & Flanigan store in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
On Friday, June 19, I purchased a sectional from your North Attleboro store. Throughout the sales process, it was clear that I was not shopping under a strict budget. I was open to purchasing a higher-quality piece of furniture if it met my needs. I happened to fall in love with the color and comfort of one of your lower-priced sectionals, and I trusted that your sales associate would guide me appropriately. Looking back, I am extremely disappointed that no one discussed the limitations or expected durability of this particular sofa. Had I been informed that it was considered an entry-level product with significant quality compromises, I would have gladly purchased a higher-end model.
Within one hour of the furniture being delivered, I realized I had made a terrible mistake. The sectional looked and felt cheaply made. The back cushions had visible marks, the fabric had dents and creases, and the seat cushions were uneven and lumpy. This was not the quality I expected from Raymour & Flanigan.
I immediately contacted both the store and sales rep—again, within one hour of delivery—to explain my concerns. I was shocked to be told that because the furniture had already been delivered, it was "too late." The only solution offered was a return with a 40% restocking fee and store credit. While I completely understand receiving store credit, a 40% restocking fee for furniture that had been in my home for less than an hour felt unreasonable. After several conversations over the next two days, the store agreed to reduce the fee to 20%, but even that felt like an unfair compromise, especially given how quickly I reported the issue. Reluctantly, I declined the offer and assumed I would either have to live with the purchase or attempt to sell it myself.
Adding to my frustration, I later discovered that the sectional had been delivered without the connectors needed to secure the pieces together. I filed a service request, and on a beautiful summer day I stayed home waiting for the technician. He was professional, courteous, and honest. He immediately confirmed that the sectional should have had connectors but unfortunately arrived without any replacement connectors or the necessary parts to complete the repair. As a result, the service visit accomplished nothing.
During the visit, the technician also documented the visible dents, creases, and other quality concerns by taking photographs. He told me he would submit a service report and that a sales manager would contact me regarding the condition of the sectional.
That was over a week ago, and I have yet to receive any follow-up from anyone at Raymour & Flanigan.
At this point, I simply want this sectional removed from my home. I am not asking for a refund to my original form of payment. I am willing to accept store credit because I still believe Raymour & Flanigan carries quality furniture—I simply believe this particular purchase was not representative of the quality your company strives to provide. However, I cannot continue living with a piece of furniture that I immediately identified as unsatisfactory and that has now become the source of weeks of frustration.
