Very Poor Customer Service
I recently purchased the Kenton butterfly leaf dining table. Within the first week of delivery I noticed the table did not close tight on either end. There is a gap on both sides. My husband and I opened the table and tried to get it closed better but it didn’t work so I contacted the service department. We had purchased the platinum protection but I not had the table a week when I called. The service man came out promptly and the bottom line was that, unfortunately, this is how the table is made. He agreed with us totally but said if you go to the store and look at the table on display it will probably look the same. So we did and he was right. We talked to the salesman and he referred us to the customer service manager. After he tried to convince me the table was fine, I told him I wanted to exchange the table for a better one. He said we could do that but we would have to pay a 20% restocking fee. He said I should have noticed the gap before I signed for the table at delivery. I’ve been buying furniture for 50 years and some 20 something kid is telling me how to buy furniture. Needless to say I am done with R&F.
