This company stole my gradall.

This company took forever to come and get my gradall and when they came and got it and sold it they sold it for less than what scrap prices were. I had $24000 in this piece of equipment and it ran great. They sold it for 3 thousand five hundred dollars, it would have scrapped for 5 thousand dollars. I'm so upset and lost so much money

Pickup at the davenport Florida

Pickup at the davenport Florida, February auction is totally unprofessional, you need to book an appointment even for the small items, they are a month behind in bookings for pickups, A MONTH! They only have 5 loaders running at a time, trucks are lined out to the road all day, our trucker at one time arrived for his appointment on a Friday at noon, waited until 4pm and didn't get loaded, they made him stay all weekend until Monday. SHAMEFUL!! They should spend some of their enormous profits they make form this auction and hire more people and more loading equipment for what is needed of an auction this size, half a dozen skid steers should be used for the small items and telescopic forklifts should be used for the medium size pieces and the loaders for large, if they have a dozen or so more machines to load it still would not be enough, spend some money from your high commission rates for more help and machines to load out, doing this to the truckers and the public that buy from you is shameful...

I will not be doing business with RB again.

The issue with RB is that you have no ability to get to someone in charge. You're stuck with their support staff who will not redirect your call to accounting, to management, to anyone. When you ask a question, they respond with. We purchased a truck at auction. Initiated a wire transfer the following day. We made travel plans that included two air flights and arranged transportation to the seller site. The issue was that we need to get the truck before a major storm system moved in. We sent wire confirmation to the seller and no fewer than 5 separate times to RB employees. Somehow, no one got any attachments. No one gave a straight answer. No one solved the problem of payment. One rep told me to call back at 7:00PM to talk to a manager. When I did, I was informed that all managers were gone. When RB finally admitted they had received the wire transfer, they informed me they needed 1-3 additional days before they would release the truck. By this time I was enroute to the seller's site. Now, three days later I still have not received an invoice indicated I've paid. I suppose at some point I will receive notice that I paid.

It's sad to see one of the best auctions turn into the worst. Greed will ruin this business. Most photos are posted late.Rating 1.3 * is simply disgraceful but no one seems to be doing anything. Wake up !!

UPDATE

UPDATE: JUST got my title - 1) the title is STILL in the seller's name (I paid Title doc fees) - was told these "title doc fees" were for them to 'WRITE MY NAME ON THE TITLE" and to send it to me (which by the way it took them 30 days to send it to me). NOW, I still have to go to my courthouse to have the title transferred to my name, PAY the fees AGAIN - and was told I could "try" to get a refund on the fees I have already paid but since it is past the 30 days I probably would not get a refund. WHAT A FRAUD!!! This Alexix Brooker that held on to this title that ALL SHE DID WAS WRITE MY NAME ON THE TITLE to send it to me AFTER the 30 days was over - has really put the screws to me/us. I DID re-rate this company because although we have a truck now that is in better shape than most - after we have had it in the shop and replaced numerous things on it, they still are not a company that I would EVER buy something from again because their business practices are atrocious!

This place is a joke

This place is a joke. I was preapproved up to 50k for a backhoe but they move so slowly I had to pay for it out of pocket or lose the machine I wanted. The lending agent Dave Sprauer told me "buy the machine and we will remimburse you". Their website says approval in a day but that doesn't mean getting the loan. I waited for well over a month, jumped through a bunch of hoops, paid $1000 for insurance I didn't need etc only to be told later they weren't going to finance the machine because they think it's older than the tag says. They insisted on inspecting the machine but didn't have field agent near the location so they contacted my neighbors/employees and asked them to spend hours downloading apps and performing the inspection without my knowledge and ON MY DIME. No one even notified me they decided to not go through with the loan, I had to call 2 weeks after the inspection to find out. Very unproffessional! This place cost me a lot of time, money and aggravation and never came through in the end. I don't recommend anyone dealing with them.

Ritchie Brothers was calling for…

Ritchie Brothers was calling for payment the day of the sale. Their financing department had approved me for plenty, but the representative was on vacation.....SO I get a local loan get wired and then veritread shippers got paid for shipping and then no show. they dont call, they dont ship. Can't get them to move and it's past the 8 day wait period that the item is supposed to be moved. I thought that there was some sort of comunication through RB and the shipper. But RB doesnt care after they get their money. I am SO disappointed.I still havent heard about the skid steer. I dont know if there even is a skid steer or if this is just a scam. It feels like a scam. NEVER AGAIN!

These people are con artists

These people are con artists. They took $40,000 worth of equipment, sold it for $6,000 and kept $4,800 for themselves. I had two fully operational diesel generated heaters that are over $50,000 each new. I could have scrapped this equipment for more money than they got me. Don’t ever sell anything with this company. THEY ARE CROOKS!!!

Horrible

Horrible. I will never buy from here again. Took my money no problem to pick up the item is a different story. Been in line for over two hours and it’s not even moving. Also read the fine print they should start the bidding at $100.00 since nothing sells for under $100.00 I won a bid for a parts little pump for 5.00 but actually paid $ 150.00 and had to wait four hours to pick it up. Their service fees are ridiculous and you will lose your whole day picking up your item..

Excessive Transaction Fees

Make sure to read the fine print about the transaction fee. I have bought at actions before and know there is a fee. Reasonable transaction fees are expected. I do not feel $100 transaction fee on a $5.00 item is reasonable. Nor a $100 for each transaction when you by multiple items. The transaction fees far exceed the amount you pay for the items. You are better off buying from a private seller. I will not purchase anything from Ritchie Bros in the future.

Ritchie Bros

Ritchie Bros, run a scam auction. I won several items and was sent confirmation that the items had been sold to me. Then Ritchie Bros discovered that they were not getting enough money for the items and sent a notification that they were going to run the items through again. When asked: What's going on here? They said: Oh, we had a computer system glitch! I was out-bid on the items when they ran the items through the second time. Ritchie Bros. is as honest as a Fulton County, Georgia, DA
Their Response will be: Hi John - Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you had a negative experience at the auction site. We strive to always improve and will consider your important feedback going forward. Lol...Cher attended a Ritchie Bros. auction once which inspired her to write, Gypsies, Tramps and thieves.

RB auction is a scam

RB auction is a scam, they sometimes have "technical problems" and pause auction and says will resume next day. a rep called me an made me aware of the situation and I told him that I had won an item prior to the suppost issue and he told me all auctions from that day had to be paused ''to give a chance to sellers to upsell and make more profit'' I was like what the heck did you just said?? and he said it again
He said his name was John and wouldn't give his last name.
So in short if you are bidding and won an item that THEY posted the date and time they can pause auction and give a chance to more people to bid creating more profit for them on the already over the roof fees and you getting scammed even if you won aucion already "sorry you didn't win because we pause the already finish auction but you can keep bidding" no other auction place do that and Im sure it's illegal I hope this placed gets investigated

Check engine light and would not start

Typically the individual auctions mention whether the check engine light is on and if it starts on it own. I win the auction, fly to tx from California and the vehicle won’t start, have to jump it then buy a battery then have a check engine light all the way home. Two months later I’m installing a new motor. Very poor experience. Don’t trust what they say.

I don't mind buying here in Phoenix

I don't mind buying here in Phoenix. Read the fine print, you pay fee's which i know before bidding. Still some good deals. My Compaint Last Poenix az auction only had 3 forklifts to load stuff. Was in line for 7 hours which is crazy. As much as they make, need to be able to load quicker.Cant sit in line 7 hour's in Phoenix in the summer. Thanks
