I have been using the app since July, diligently scanning receipts. At first, everything seemed fine: a small initial test payout (5 EUR) worked seamlessly. This built trust, so I spent months saving up to reach the 40 EUR tier.

However, the moment I requested the 40 EUR payout, my account was disabled without warning. It feels like a classic "bait and switch" tactic: small amounts are paid out to hook users, but as soon as you try to cash out a significant amount, your account gets locked.

They were happy to accept my shopping data for months, but when it came time to pay up, I was kicked out. Support only responds with canned messages and shows zero interest in resolving the issue.

Conclusion: You invest months of work, provide valuable data, and end up with nothing.

Don't use this app. The past two times I have requested my money Receipt Hog has rejected the claim citing some problem with the receipts I have entered over months. In my opinion that is very unfair. I deleted app

I have now been using Receipt Hog for about eight years and getting rid of this BS app receipt Hog!!!! Fetch is muck better easy to take pictures of your receipt. I will be staying with fetch much,much,much better when taking pictures of your receipt so easy and then they have other incentives, Love Fitch they ROCK❣️

Had 2000 coins which took me more than a year to achieve. Well I learned after that if you dont spend them fast enough they erase them. Nice! Just gave out a bunch of time and infos to this app for free

Back then, I was the one who gave 5 stars for fast payment. HOWEVER, now, the payment process has been made very complicated => There is very late payment or No payment and, it is just a waiting game only to test your patient OR until you forget your payment from Receipt Hog. It's like do they ever issue payment or not? Be careful and, do NOT submit any receipt until you receive any previous payment OR be prepared to forget your efforts and payment.

Terrible app when you post a new receipt it says it’s a duplicate or out of date.when the receipts are brand new. This app is awful. Don’t waste your time I am deleting my app never to use it again.

It was pretty good but connecting the email can be a pain

This app rejects more than half my receipts. I re-enter them and rejected again. Seems to me the receipt that has a biggest dollar amount is rejected. There is no one to report this to either. I am going to uninstall it on my phone as it does nothing! I would say it is not worth it!

It does take a bit for the points to add up, but i feel like that's any type of receipt add. In the end they all are points that you wouldn't be getting if you weren't scanning receipts.

To many steps with little reward . After finally getting enough for a $40 gift card and with many attempts to retrieve it still can’t figure out how to get it . Customer service office ver little support

I've been using this app for years and got many gift cards. Their customers service is fast and efficient. Highly recommend.

Horrible poorly written app ....had to contact help weekly because they kept locking my account. Sincerely a complete waste of time.

I earned 10 Bonus Hog Spins for completing the August Harvest Bonus but did not receive them even after sending photos of the eligible receipts. Tried numerous times but no response and NO SPINS.
** Also this app keeps sending me messages stating old receipts, blurry receipts, duplicate receipts, incomplete receipts when this was not accurate.
Also was REJECTING receipts after they previously accepted them in prior months. i.e. Gas station Mobil, Convenience stores 7 - Eleven and Liquor Stores etc.

I have tried several times to log in. Have had so many problems I gave up.

I've always had a great experience with Receipt Hog. Redeeming rewards is typically quick and easy, but I had an issue redeeming a PayPal reward recently, and Julian from customer support helped me resolve the issue and ensured I received the reward right away.

Once I got to a certain level and accrued a very good amount of points - all of a sudden my account was disabled. they used the " you put fraudulent receipts on as a reason - then I had to email MULTIPLE times for them to send me ONE receipt they said was not allowed per their guidelines - and it was a VALID receipt from a $2.99 apple purchase. No one will respond and I am CERTIN it is becasue I never turned in my many points - almost $100 worth and I was at the point I was going to earn almost $10 - $20 more because of the level I was at and they just did not want to pay out - If it was REALLY because of "invalid" receipts they would just take those and the points away. They just want to get your information and not pay out - HOURS of my life wasted!
*Update 9/15/25. They are replying below that my account goes against their " rules"... I have emailed MULTIPLE times asking what I did " wrong". And the only thing that they provided was one image of a receipt that they said was unreadable. As multiple other people have stated on this site, that's part of the problem with receipt hog It doesn't allow for the images to come through correctly all of the time and that is not a failure of us, but rather a failure on them. I was never given any warnings or anything at all All of a sudden I went to login one day as I upload receipts every single day and they had multiple times to tell me that I was uploading something incorrectly and just cut me off. $100 and over 100 spins and even more that was coming my way because of an unreadable receipt? Or who knows what because they can't respond... also the correct thing to do, to keep your customers and your people happy because Lord knows they've gotten lots and lots of information from all of my receipts, is to pay out from the receipts that were correct. And also to give someone a chance instead of just telling them that they are fraudulent which is just a terrible word to use to someone who would never do something like that. - After this - They did end up responding later in day that you cannot send them " e receipts " and that the amount of my earnigs is $40 - they gave an exception and sent me the $40 in a gift card but are not re-enabling my Account - It took a lot of back and forth but at least they did finally come thru. I will change my review to 3 stars - but the way to work with people is to LET THEM KNOW what they are doing tat does not matchup with what your Sponsors want and give them a chance - not just cut them off

Excellent customer service. Even though I was stupid, they didn't make me feel that way. This is an easy app to use and the customer support was outstanding!

I've noticed when you spin the reel when you are given free spins to get extra points, that the real starts with a hog on the left and as soon as it starts spinning after about two spins the hog disappears and it's not on the reel anymore. So there's no way you'll ever get three hogs in a row to get the maximum prize because they've removed the hog from the first reel on the left . I have brought this to their attention a few times that the hog is disappearing
