Recharger is withholding payment

My parents own a property on which there are 2 dwellings, both of which they rent out with prepaid electricity meters. Yet when my mom does the recon, recharger has not paid her thousands of rands. She has asked for assistance and they have admitted that they have not reimbursed her the full amount required but that the amount in dispute is half of what she says it is and also its not their problem because obviously someone is *****ing electricity somewhere. When she tells them this is not the case, they say "how do you know, you don't live there". They also will not go out and check if the meter is defective. So how must my mom, a diabetic pensioner with severe mobility issues, that lives in a different city, go and check the meter? How would she know what is wrogn with it. Two men have also called her today and they were extremely rude and obnoxious. They spoke over her and did not provide any actual assistance. Bullies! No one considers that perhaps there is a billing issue on their side or tries to investigate.

Worst service so far from Recharge

I am getting the worst service so far. I am the CEO of 3 companies with 42 prepaid meters wanting to move to recharger. But after this service i would think twice for anyone to join. A simple question that i asked turned into a childish screenshot email, showing our finance depart email and refuses to assist me because wait for it, its not the email adress on the form, but my email was used to apply for the service and to activate the service and had support issues resolved with my email. But thats not all the same form i was sent shows my name, surname and phone number showing on my email signature. I asked a manager or owner to call me, i was ignored and sent a childish email. This was by far the worst service.

This company is not honest

This company is not honest. My tenants have produced proof that they paid 2.4k for electricity in the month of April. The bill from Ethekweni Metro is just over 2.1k. Yet the recharger company has only paid R760 into my account.

I give them no star review as this…

I give them no star review as this company does not even deserve one review. Last year I paid R50 cash deposit for tokens and was advised its R100 so i then made a eft payment and received my tokens and was told i can get credited or the cash deposit whenever I choose to use that method. Friday I called in to get banking details to use the cash method they were unsure where that payment was and was told to do eft I was very angry as i sent proof of payment but was still denied that method as they could not find the money. I did eft as my tenants needed power but i was refused tokens as management decided upon themselves not to provide tokens to me.useless company im changing to IMS I was referered by an electrician to use recharger but i should have stuck to know companies this people are of no value and I Will not recommend any one to them

Refusal to pay rebate

We fitted a Recharge meter when we decided to rent our unit out. After a while, we noticed that little or no rebate was being paid by Recharger. For this to occur, our tenants would have to be using no electricity at all - which is near impossible.

We reconciled with our City of Joburg statement, spotted no anomalies with our billing, and decided to contact Recharger. They claimed that our tenant must have bypassed the meter. We had an independent check done and were told that the meter had not been bypassed.

This is the loop we are now stuck in with Recharger. They are refusing to pay our rebate. When we prove that their are no billing errors, they blame a bypassed meter. When we prove no meter tampering, they blame billing errors.

Even assuming the worst - that our tenants bypassed the meter - it still reflects poorly on Recharger. Their marketing refers to tamper roof meters.

Which is it? Dodgy accounting practices , or false adverting and a poor product?
