I reported a leaking roof to the council in July 2021 literally days after they had removed scaffolding that had been in place for over a year. Here we are in December 2023 and guess what? Yep roof still leaking. This council are about as much use as a Chocolate Fireguard. If i were housed by a private landlordthey would have been fined by now. Of course, the problem with Redbridge council is, it is run by a man who is more interested in getting his nose in the Westminster trough than he is in running an efficient council. If the country is going to be run by the National Labour Party as this council is by the Local Labour Group then we are really in deep sh**.

I approached redbridge council to get help and advice. The guy behind the desk made me wait for while and didn’t seem very helpful. The advice i got was very unhelpful and he gave me the wrong information on what to do. They was no compassion, about my case. Redbridge council is useless. It was such a waste of my trip.

Navigating a Path of Bias and Challenges: A Cautionary Tale for Fathers at Redbridge Children Services

Going through my time with Redbridge Children Services, I saw a mix of clear professionalism and hidden biases, especially towards fathers and certain demographic groups. My experience showed me there are subtle biases and activism, even in official documents and communications to the court.

There were times when reports added in general ideas about race and gender, especially about who usually commits domestic violence. This pushed aside solid evidence and built a story that felt biased and one-sided. Even when biases were hidden well, they cast a dark shadow over everything, ignoring important evidence and events.

For fathers and families moving through this, the following might help:

1. Keep Records: Carefully document all interactions, so you have a strong foundation if inconsistencies show up.

2. Get Legal Help: Make sure your legal team is strong and well-informed to ensure fairness.

3. Stand Firm: Keep pushing your complaints and seeking resolutions, even if you meet resistance.

4. Raise Concerns: Especially if internal investigations don’t move or are ignored, go to external bodies like Social Work England.

A big concern to point out is the lack of detailed internal investigations into complaints, even when the courts have criticized the practices harshly. This lack of clear and responsible internal ways to handle complaints shows serious issues within the organization.

It’s also important to note that specific social workers, who have received criticism in other reviews here, show behaviors that bring up questions about the legitimacy and fairness of the processes and investigations.

In an effort to be fair and objective, it’s important to shine a light on a possible intersection where personal beliefs and professional work meet, especially in social services. I saw that individuals, including the social worker and complaints officer at Redbridge, and Cafcass officer, openly support social causes, like BLM and LGBTQ+ issues, on their personal social media. While it's great to support social issues and everyone has a right to their personal beliefs, it makes me wonder if these personal views seep into professional work and decision-making, especially in sensitive family and child welfare cases. Professionals need to make sure personal advocacies don’t cloud objective and impartial service, making sure all groups, including white males, are treated fairly and without bias. It’s crucial to make sure that the fight for social justice stays just and doesn’t turn into a new form of bias in professional settings.

In the effort of reform and improvement within Redbridge Children Services, those who have similar experiences should consider talking to local MPs, pushing for awareness and reform, ensuring that this critique is used positively to bring real change and oversight.

While this story comes with a note of caution, it also recognizes the hard work of many professionals within the service. This isn’t a broad critique of the organization but a nuanced reflection and advice to those who might use the service in the future. Hopefully, this will start conversations and reform within the service, rooting its practices in fairness, transparency, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the child.

Horrible service

Absolutely horrible service.
Website constantly not working, so you can't attend any issues.
Garden waste never taken on the time ( the schedule date acording thd website).
Complaint emails never responded.
Overpayment never was refunded.
Paid home bulk items never was collected (driver went to different address).
I could just carry on and on....
The worst investment for our tax payments.

Lack of respect for the local area due to selfishness

Yet again the 'Muslim Community Centre' opposite my house has been causing problems to the local community and New North Rd traffic again. As usual, the Friday, Saturday and Sundays lunchtime continues to disrupt the traffic flows along with the ammount of drivers blocking the road waiting to enter their car park due the earlier prayer meeting trying to leave. They allow the car park to overfill so that those leaving have to back out into the traffic flows. This is made more dangerous buy other patrons parking on the footway and highway immediately both sides of their drop kerb. Sometimes, someone will attempt to assist car movements but they have no highvi' or stewerd vest. Tonight, Mon 09/10/23 at 18.00hrs until about 18.35hrs (just before the streetlights turned on) they were at it again. many cars backing out between parked vehicles, others waiting to get in. This time it appears it was due to a children's martial arts class. It's not good enough for the owners to say it's down to whoever highers the hall. If the owner cannot enforce common sense safety rules the should not be licenced!

Redbridge council parking scam

I'm just letting people know about the dodgy parking set up at Redbridge council, if you get a fine for any reason and are planning to appeal don't pay the early £65 50%discount because it doesn't count, I paid it times 3 appealed and lost even got a letter from Redbridge saying paid in full case closed, then I got 3 letters demanding 3 x £130 because I hadn't settled the amount in full it's all a scam, borderline fraud you've got no chance

Parking permit - rubbish service

Apply for a change of car registration on resident parking permit and it takes minimum 10 working days.

Called them today, and there's no online system unlike the nearby Barking council.

Council tax goes to waste.

Council Yellow Boxes

I drove through Redbridge as part of a journey, and got scammed by the council yellow box junction. It's impossible to see the box until you are inside it, then you are forced to try to get to the other side - but strategically there is an end of road junction the other side - so you are pretty guaranteed to get stuck - unless you know the scam is there. When will these govt criminals be stopped!?

Modern Day Dick Turpin!!!!!!

Modern Day Dick Turpin!!!!!!

I parked outside my Girlfriends parents house in front of their drop kerb as its their parking space because nobody else will park there incase they take their car off the drive, which may I add they paid the council 4k to build so they have access to their own drive way...of course they gave me a ticket. I thought this must be a mistake as every other man and his dog with their drop kerbs does the same thing. I appealed and to my shock it was declined. I'm just lost for words not to mention fuming. Robbing cretins. So glad I don't live around there.

Unlawful PCN

Received a PCN from London Borough of Redbridge Council for ‘entering and stopping at a Box Junction’ on the Cambridge Park junction in Wanstead. I appealed as I had no chance of seeing the end of the Box Junction which seemed bigger than it should have. The council rejected my appeal and I took it to London Tribunals for adjudication who agreed with me and directed the council to cancel the PCN as the Box Junction is not in compliance of TSRGD 2016 and goes beyond the junction of the two roads.

Disgrace of a council.

Disgrace of a council.
It is so badly managed it has to try and defraud people out of their hard earned cash to top up their bank balance.
The amount it must have cost to install all these digital cameras would be interesting to know?
Of course they are a Labour council so follow Sadiq Khans methods of extortion of the common man for their own gains

Disgusting behaviour and be assured we do not vote for you

Pervinder Sandhu

Pervinder Sandhu . Director Assurance is torturing children in her care and abusing public funding for her own interests in so called children services. Pervinder Sandhu conduct must be investigated and save mothers and save children from her victimisation… children are being harmed and I have proof of that.

Useless bunch of......

I moved in to my new property in Ilford and a previous owner didn't paid council tax by the time. On a side note I paid my council tax in a previous place what also was in redbridge. So they want me to pay twice just because they are too lazy to chase a previous owner. I sent an email several times explained the situation but they don't care. I can also prove that I paid my taxes already. I will pay the money despite I shouldn't but I wish them to spend all money to their cancer treatments.

I’d give no stars if I could

I’d give no stars if I could. Absolutely shocking council. Have been charging us double council tax for an empty home for nearly 2 years even though we have repeatedly responded to letters to advise otherwise. We’ve even had visits from the council yet this information does not get passed from department to department. As for contacting them, good luck, they avoid answering the phone like the plague and automatically direct you to their crappy website. When you send emails the automatic response is that they will get back to you within 10 working days MAYBE. If I had owed them any money they would be on me like flies around s**t.

My car number plate was cloned

My car number plate was cloned, and the cloned car created a penalty charge notice, even after appealing the case the council refused to accept what has happened.
I provided a case ref number from the MET, even told them the car in the picture was different pre face lift model, and explained I have since changed the number plate to a private number to put a stop to all this....NOTHING CAN CHANGE THEIR MINDS!!!!

They just do not care, and threaten you with letters.

I live over two hours away, and haven't even been to Ilford.
I've been forced to pay someone else's fine.
Evil establishment that does not care about people.

Parking enforcement for Redbridge has some very dodgy staff working for them and ruin the hard work of others.
