RedPocket is not a scam. We’ve been serving customers for 20 years, and thousands of users activate, renew, and port numbers successfully every day. Labeling the service as fraudulent doesn’t reflect the experience of the vast majority of our customers.

That said, if something specific went wrong in your case, we absolutely want to understand what happened. Broad warnings don’t give us much to work with; details do, and we’re open to reviewing them.

i want to port out from red pocket

i have done everything they requested
and i have my account number and pin
its been three days since i submitted the transfer and i emailed them i chat with them to release my number they said they already released my number
my new company saying they didn’t release the number yet stay away

First, RedPocket is not a scam, as we've been providing service to customers for 20 years. We do not block customers from porting out when the correct account numbers and PINs are submitted. The release process is then handled between carriers.

CS Ren was very helpful in activating my new line. Previously I had an issue in activating and CS Ren has helped me to step by step process to activate new phone.

Trying to scam claiming out of data

These scammers send messages stating the plan is out of data. This is impossible. I never take the phone out of my house so it's always on wifi. They did this for many months last year and one of the months the phone's battery was dead for weeks so there's no possible way any data was being used even if possibly the wifi was off, which it wasn't. The messages prompt me to go buy more data to avoid slower speeds. This is getting to be a common scam with these MVNO providers.

Great Support

Overcharge, Port Out Request Delayed

RedPocket’s stripe payment system was renovated in early 2025, for the worse in my view. Last year the renewal process failed without warning and cut off service when previously my card was automatically billed. When I renewed over wifi, the usual receipt was not emailed. I understood the card was not accepted and paid again. In both instances the payment processed silently, drawing more funds from my bank account than authorized. No confirmation was received and the service outage continued after payment until I used the chat box to report signal loss.

There is a fatal flaw with automatic billing on Redpocket’s website and because of that weakness I would not entrust financial information to their domain.

Customer support responded promptly,
answering all questions and crediting me generously. Four stars for reversing the damage.

When porting out, Redpocket refused to honor the number transfer request sent from the new carrier, requiring me to personally ask Redpocket CS to release my number. They stalled until I shared why I was leaving.

The network is reliable, great coverage with few or no outages.

I would advise prospective customers to closely monitor billing statements and login to their Redpocket account monthly or yearly, days in advance of each service renewal date to double-check card info and line status.
