Brilliant From The Outset Professional and Caring

After I exposed a business of fraud and underhand business practices, the owner, in an attempt to silence me, made up false allegations to the police of stalking and harassment. I was arrested and left in a cell for 8 hours before I was even told what I was supposed to have done, and some months later I was charged. The police ignored evidence that this woman had done this many times to other people, and refused the offer of statements from those she had accused previously. As someone who has never broken the law or been in trouble with the police, at 57 years old this was an horrific experience. I rang a few solicitors who were not interested in my nightmare, just whether I could afford to pay for their services, and wanting to work for me for a fixed fee. Then I spoke to Julian Richards from Reeds Solicitors. I was in tears as I told him of the situation. He listened to me, went off to look at some evidence online, and rang me back. He spent a long time on the phone, assured me I had done nothing wrong, and put my mind at rest. I knew then that he was the one I wanted to defend me. During this conversation, money hadn’t been mentioned once. As it happens I was in a position to pay, but I was happy that he was interested in what had happened to me, and not my financial position. After speaking to Julian, I had the first nights sleep I’d had since arrest. To cut a very long story short, Julian Richards went above and beyond to secure my acquittal. His legal knowledge is second to none, his memory for detail is amazing, and he very quickly picked up and what was happening with this woman and her desperate effort to discredit me and what I had said about her company, and prevent me from speaking out about it. Julian’s cross examination of the complainant exposed her dishonesty and fraudulent business practices, and Judge Tim Pattinson saw straight through her lies, and said she was guilty of a dangerous and elaborate scam. I don’t know what I would have done without the support of Julian. He was kind, reassuring - whilst always remaining honest about what could happen. He was always available to speak to, or he would return my calls in a short space of time. I can’t thank Julian Richards and Reeds Solicitors enough for their very professional service and care.
